Yes, been to Lagos a few times; on my 2nd attempt luckily escaped bullets of armed robbers from snatching our vehicle along Allen Avenue, never liked the town due to the chaotic and hussle ans bussle pace and lifestyle.

Also been to Edo, Benin but more in particular Irrhua and Ekpoma on holiday with a friend from that area, had fun and felt more at ease as there was a significant Muslim community there.

Briefly also been to Delta, Uguashuku (not sure of the spelling) to a friend's (a Hausa northerner's) wedding with a girl from that area and a 2nd time when another friend's father also married from there.

However, never been to the SS or SE due to the stories of crime and violence in general as well as hatred in particular against Muslims and northerners.

The way Nigerians are treated at different points of entry.

I called it precautionary measures

No one should give it tribal coloration

This is sometimes what annoys me about Igbos; always turning the slightest negative thing that happens to them to appear like persecution because they are Igbos (Igbo this Igbo that) and inadvertently irritating ppl to the extent of ironically disliking them for being Igbo.

Just take this latest of their complaint; as if there are no custom checkpoints stationed all over this country and as if the Nigerian Customs does not also have Igbos in its services - I bet if you were to take a cursory look into these checkpoints you would definitely find Igbo officers amongst them actively involved in whatever that is going on - maybe even trying to outdo the others.

Why wouldn't their youths grow up hating on everyone, when their leaders are always tribalising and viewing everything from an Igbo and non Igbo perspective; how would their youths develop a sense of belonging and consequently for Nigerian to see and treat them as Nigerians when they are in fact busy marginalising themselves by themsives?

Sealeddeal:
Fulani herdsmen has succeeded.
There is more to this statement than meet the eyes.
Nigerian Army has always intervened on behalf of Fulani herdsmen anywhere they cause trouble or get into trouble. Why is President Buhari trying to use Nigeria army to entrench Fulani herdsmen presence inordinately in every part of Nigeria? Can't the herdsmen set up ranches and live like other Nigeria? Nigerian army is not planning to set up ranches for themselves, it must be for Fulani herdsmen

Somebody must have scrambled your brain this early morning; I suggest you go back and read the article very very slowly and carefully without sentiments; perhaps God in His infinite mercy may avail you with the ability to comprehend the message and that you may subsequently be honest enough to educate others who like you had earlier also completely lost the plot.

Thats a normal thing for anyone who grew up in the north

Yes, it is quite common here in the north; there are snake charmers who make a living out of catching snakes and playing with them to entertain, provide local medicine to ward off snakes and against snake bites; they are also increasingly being used to eradicate snakes from ppl's homes, farms etc - they burn some kind of incense which amazingly brings the snakes out from their hiding and they catch them with their bare hands and take them away - problem solved.

The senate should stand their ground by ensuring that persons who indulge in sharp practices or abuse of office are shown the way out irrespective of mr president stand. This is the right time to ensure the rule of law prevails. Long Live FRN.

Which ground do they have, after they have discovered their folly of relying on false/doctored information without giving the accused their fundamental right to fair hearing, in order to defend themselves on the allegations levied against them - a basic human right entitled to every person.
Now that there is reason to believe the allegations were false, you can see how they are suddenly in U-turn trying to do damage control.

Family / Re: The Alarming Rate Of Teenage Pregnancy In Rural Areas by MeAboki(m): 1:05pm On Dec 19, 2016
Tolupride:
The alarming rate of teenage pregnancy in the Rural areas

The incessant increase is rate of teenage pregnancy in the Rural area is so alarming and obnoxious, this societal problem is as dangerous and damaging as other social vices e.g Cultism, Drug, thuggery etc

This societal abnormality as begin to seems normal in the Rural areas, this problem is not peculiar to the Rural area, but the recent rise in the rate of teenage pregnancy in that part is unprecedented

My recent visit to my village,in the Yuletide mood expose me to another dimension of this vices, which got me pissed off.

Hardly can you see a girl in her early 20's and teens without having a baby or two out of wedlock, is so disheartening hearing stories of 14,15 years old kids so exposed sexually, the moral bankruptcy of our youths both male and females is so injurious to our societal standing and status, Urgent measures are needed to be taken to avert the pending danger of this abnormality ...

Pointing out the problems without proposing solutions is fruitless, So in lieu of the aforementioned problem, these are the my proposed solutions

1. Including sex education in our secondary school syllabus

2. Organising seminars to orientate the youth about the danger and control of sex, the message should be
Targeted to both sexes, not just at the girls.

3. Parent have a lot of task in this context, by teaching and counselling their wards about the danger of tenage pregnancy and other moral lessons

4. The community as a whole as their part to play by reporting any suspicious dealings with underage girls and boys and also placing caution on them

5. The adult male are the major perpetrators of this evil act, by devilishly taking advantage of this tenage girls..knowing fully the pending danger it can cause to the girls career ambition and future, forgetting the girl can be their sisters, daughters, etc. adult males are advised to find conscience if they gat none, to find end to this societal problem. And Lastly

5. Criminalising the act of teenage pregnancy: I think this will go a long way in curbing this crises, by punishing the offender with a threat of imprisonment ,I think this will enable other youth take caution of this act knowing fully the punishment awaiting offenders...I think females have the potential of becoming whatever they desires, so we shouldn't allow the selfish act of some people ,with their desire of few minutes pleasure to ruin the future of our female children by taking advantage of their gullibility.

I think we all have our roles to play in curbing this crises..

Written by a concerned citizen..

Lamidi Sheriffdeen Toluwase.

That is why the Muslim north marry off their girls early; it is better they bear their children under the respectability of marriage than produce them out of wedlock, as Bastards - yet some ppl are abusing us as backwards and paedophiles - making reference to extreme examples as the norm to justify their insults.

This is what you get from abandoning your moral compass and adopting wayward ways in the name of advancement - skimpily dressed young school girls fornicating left right and centre/ doing runs and lots of baby mamas.

JONATHAN’S INFAMOUS QUOTES:

1. “CNN has said our Economy is growing. The best Economists are at the World Bank. Now you have all these Nigerian Economists talking nonsense. Do they know better than
CNN or World Bank?”
2. “Nigeria is not poor. Come and see the amount of private jets Nigerians parked at Kenya Airport when we went to Nairobi for Conference. Kenyans were just looking at us with envy. How can you say Nigerians are poor?"
3. “Nigerians need jobs. Vote for me and I will create Unemployment.”
4′. “We are giving special Scholarships to our First Class Graduates…….in ten years time, they are going to take us to the Moon.”
5. “How can you just say $20 billion is missing. If that kind of money is missing, the Americans will know. They know everything.”
6. ”Corruption is not stealing. If you put nyam and Plantain where a goat is, the goat will eat the nyam.”
7. “If you go to Lagos and shout “ole ole” they will stone you well well. But if you shout “corruption”, people will just be looking at you.”
8.”Why should i declare my assets? I don’t give a damn!”
9.”People are just raising false alarm. How can 200 children go missing just like that? It is our enemies trying to cause confusion. But we are investigating the matter”
10. “We are going to rebuild the Chibook school. And we are going to build high fences round the school to protect them next time . Yes Yes.”
11. “People keep saying, why don’t we go to Chibook, why don’t we go to Chibook. Aaah, we can’t go to Chibook Just like that. The Boko Haram people will fire at us.”
12. “This Abuja bombing is not by MEND. We know it is by Boko Haram. They are everywhere. Boko Haram is even in my Government.”
13. “Boko Haram are our siblings. You can’t set the Army to go and wipe out your family”
14. “Mend tried to kill me. They came to bomb me in Abuja. That is why we jailed Henry Okah in South Africa”
15. “I did not plan the Election postponement. Even my Service Chiefs did not consult me.”
16. “If i knew Election was going to be postponed, why will i waste my time and Federal Government money to go and campaign in Bayelsa.”
17. “I am the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. You don’t expect me to go and be fighting in Sambisa forest. People jus talk anyhow”.
18. “We are going to buy Guns and give good Pensions to our Brave Soldiers, so that when they are killed, their families will not suffer”
19. “Some people just call themselves Statesman for nothing. They jump about and talk like motor park touts.”
20. ‘After God and my Parents, the third person i thank most for my life is President Olusegun Obasanjo.”
21. “I want to apologise to the people of Rivers State for not bringing any Projects here. It is because i don’t want people to say i am doing favouritism. Vote for me and in the
next 4 years you will see my hand”
22. “I am the sitting President. If there is any trouble, it is me that the United Nations Secretary General calls. Everything is on my head.”

It has nothing to do with poverty, but a loss of moral compass and a mentality where in some cultures stealing and cheating have been legitimised as hussle - if it were poverty alone; then the northern part of this country with the highest level of poverty should have been witnessing much more higher rate of such brazen reported and unreported crimes of theft.
