GenBuhari:Walahi, I was shocked to read that after all his noise making, he then turned around and directed the local traditional rulers to provide land to the Fulani for grazing - yes land for grazing. @TOPIC: One sided story, ppl should ask what did they do to cause the herdsmen attack - the side of the Fulani in this matter is yet to be heard; it doesn't make sense that the Fulani should wake up and just staert attacking the community for no reason at all. |
Beehshorp:And who are you, who is offering and who cares? |
True talk. |
Theyveedo:LOL, its Kuje prison for the loud mouth till they run out of watery beans . |
UrennaNkoli:Seconded |
akanbiaa:It won't surprise me if he is not even sponsoring himself but going there at national expense; Saraki, his benefactor, could easily wangle some set of allowances (including not stopping his senatorial sitting allowance) to pay for this somewhat educational tourism. |
mightyhazel:My friend ethnic incited mob violence happens everywhere; how many times have Igbos attacked Hausas or northern Muslims for one reason or another; how many threads having reported such instances here in NL have been quickly closed down or deleted for fear of provoking massive counter retaliation against Igbos in the north. I can recall a case where a policeman shot and killed a bus driver in Onitsha only for Igbos to start rioting and killing innocent Hausas at random; and only later to discover that the killer police was not even a Muslim or Hausa as they had assumed but a Christian and Idoma by tribe - yes, before you start denying here are two related links to the story. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/ssouth-east/3725-trigger-happy_police_officer_triggers_riots_in_onitsha.html http://www.9jabook.com/forum/topics/onitsha-killer-policeman-not-muslim-nor-hausa-dismissed-and-charg?xg_source=activity |
Laxy009:Why are some of you so hell bent on exposing your bigotry and lack of basic comprehension/literacy? Although the article clearly reported a proposed Air Force STATION (a.k.a Air Force Post) yet many are jumping to the conclusion that the proposal was for an Air Force BASE, which is far more colossal than a mere station - so much for their supposed superior education. |
gidgiddy:Nonsense: he was in control of his destiny, he had the choice to abide by or break the law; he quite clearly chose the latter and is consequently reaping what he sowed - neither is he a prophet, else he would have seen it coming. |
gidgiddy:No he didn't tell me; however, common sense will tell you that if he was aware he was a wanted man and subsequently not avoiding arrest; then he must have been willing to accept his fate and inevitable incarceration. If that is the case, then why is he now running helter skelter, from one court to another, fighting for his freedom? Abeg, who are you kidding. |
Go on, keep exposing your ignorance for all to see. I hope you will be here to also celebrate when Trump start kicking all your blodas out of Amelika as he promised. |
DDeliverer:Oh yeah; then why didn't he see his arrest an incarceration and therefore avoided it ? |
ScienceWatch:My friend, take a chill pill; I wasn't even referring to your false prophet but to someone desperately trying to be like him - shey you know, wannabe means want to be. |
GBTYO:Wannabe TB Joshua - speaking and predicting through his anus. |
kamalcole3000:Yes indeed, why not; are you afraid of the truth or don't you want to be set free from your bigotry? Yes indeed, proudly Almajiri but then again your ignorant self doesn't even know that Almajiri is not an offensive word, it simply means a scholar/student/pupil. Yes indeed, she was under aged and thats just it; otherwise, what respect, parenthood, and good upbringing are you talking about? FYI, Ese comes from a broken home, the father had left and the mother, a food seller evidently didn't have much time to instil the necessary discipline and good upbringing (you were talking about) to kept her daughter, at only 14, sufficiently away from becoming addicted to the sweet embrace of a lover, to the extent of having the confidence to elope with him to the far away north. If not because love is blind, otherwise who would want to marry your girl; just take a look at her compared to our fine Hausa/Fulani girls. Didn't you read how Yunusa's father opposed the marriage, how he reported the case to his village head who in turn reported it to the Emirate council, prompting the Emir to order for the girl to be returned; of course it would hurt you to recall the video footage of how the girl was openly protesting against being separated from her sweet darling Yunusa. Indeed, the prospect of marrying a northerner of legitimate humble means may seem bleak to you, however, it is by far better than the alternative of a criminal lifestyle that you deceptively often like to refer to as hustling: for a girl, like Ese, starting early at the tender age of 13/14 yrs with the art of opening her legs and graduating to a full runs girl or olosho by 18. Some may not be so lucky and may have been forcefully tutored and impregnated by no other than her own father, an uncle or a predatory pastor/local priest, necessitating in an abortion or the sanctuary of a baby factory in order to offload/sell her unwanted cargo. By the time a girl like that had reached what you call the ripe age of marriage, she would probably have under gone so many abortions that her womb would he literally turned tokumbo. Its no wonder that many of you feel the need to first test run your tokumbo brides to make sure their wombs are still functional; thereby bringing into this world so many children out of wedlock to add to your increasing population of unruly wayward criminally inclined bastards. No thanks, you can keep your girl, no one has that kind of time to waste. |
chillbabe:Evidence of low IQ. |
Themandator:Then provide the link - and prove me wrong. |
Tears of a clown.
|
bukas15:Indeed the following well known personalities who married young wives, the age mates of their daughters/sons must also be northerners; and according to you, they must be very stupid as well: Nnamdi Azikiwe, Ojukwu, Tony Anenih, Iwuanyanwu, Razak Okoya, The Alaafin of Oyo etc.
|
Themandator:My friend, can't you read? I was quite specific on the type of media coverage: interview of Ese herself giving her own side of the story; and the ongoing trial, regarding the veracity of the charges of forceful marriage and conversion. Now, if there are youtube or channels tv coverage of these examples pls provide the link and prove me wrong. Next time think before you type - now who is the ignorant boy then? |
TheFreeOne:Very silly comparison with the Chibok girls (incidentally majority Christians) who have have undergone real physical and psychological trauma against young girls (though technically underaged) clearly complicit in their alleged abduction. As for paedophiles, you really should take note of the newspapers or at least the crime section of this forum, where many of the most pathetic examples of your ppl in the south: fathers raping and impregnating own daughters, pastors etc are being reported on daily basis - yes, indeed, yeye dey smell. Without needing to go far, just check today's frontpage - one more latest example from your backyard. https://www.nairaland.com/3450284/pastor-arrested-ogun-raping-impregnating |
kaylivin:Nigerian media is largely owned and dominated by southern Christians and not surprisingly clearly biased went it comes to covering stories bordering on our ethno-religious divide. The media took sides on the Ese/Yunusa issue, they practically tried and sentenced Yunusa as well as his tribe and religion without bothering to fully research the story before hand. Words such as abduction, forceful marriage and conversion are still being used today any evidence; that is why many innocent Muslims and northerners maligned along with him for his singular crime are interested in the truth coming out from the ongoing trial - which the media (having already done its damage) seems reluctant to cover. With regards to the Emir of Katsina, do you know that the real age of the girl is not 14 as reported but 18, do you know that it had been investigated and found that her headmaster, a Christian, indeed conspired and doctored her school record to make her age appear as 14, therefore under aged, so as to give the story a different perspective - why do you think that the issue had since suddenly dropped off the radar of our brown envelope driven media? |
dealslip:My friend, learn to identify and address the important issues of an argument - it shows intelligence. First of all, kindly identify or give any instance where a Christian was tried in a Sharia court - stop telling lies. If Nigerian Christians are a tolerant lot, then pls tell me; why are they against Muslims having the Sharia, a system which clearly does not affect them? Why are they also against the Arabic inscription (ajabi) appearing on our currency, which simply denotes the value of the currency note in Hausa language, a long standing tradition initiated by our colonial masters, the British, who themselves were also Christians. Similarly, why also oppose the Arabic letters in our military insignia for also the same reason. Why are Nigerian Christians envious of the government subsidy to Muslims for pilgrimage to the extent of suddenly copying and competing with them for same; whereas in fact unlike religious requirement for Muslims, it is not obligatory for them to perform pilgrimage? As for your ignorance concerning the origins of most of our judicial codes from British and by extension canon law; well, what can I say except to advise you to read and get educated. With regards to killing, the greatest killers of mankind known to date happen to be Christians - before you start arguing, pls go check your history. |
Something fishy about the whole saga, with questions begging for answers: 1) Why is she being held under protective custody; are they afraid for her safety against her own ppl or that she may embarrass them by running away and trying to again re-unite with her lover Yunusa? 2) Why are we yet to hear her own version of events; instead these structured statements being released on her behalf, that appear to have been doctored to conform with the pre-judged positions adopted by her parents, the media and other interest groups - who had chosen to politicise the whole matter? 3) Why has the press seem to have completely lost its voice and not covering the facts emerging from the ongoing trial; especially those concerning veracity of the allegations of forceful marriage and conversion against her alleged abductor Yunusa? LOL, yeye dey smell - the real truth, no matter how much they try to suppress it, must eventually come out. |
dealslip:You seem to be quite ignorant and intolerant as a lot of Nigerian Christians, even after clear explanation and re-assurance of the vice president, who is not only an ordinary Christian but also a pastor, with much better knowledge than yourself. Pray tell, where is the Sharia law, as currently practised in this country, being applicable to non-Muslims and how would any of the proposed amendments affect Christians? Yes, by all means go ahead, I can assure you that no Muslim would stand in your way should you Christians wish to similarly adopt Moses law for your own exclusive use. In addition, it may not have occurred to you that most of our laws were derived from English law which in turn were based on Cannon law - the main reason why our colonial masters appreciated the need and therefore allowed Sharia law for Muslims along with native law for traditionalists - in order to accommodate our diversity. Lastly, try to always get your facts right; the woman was not beheaded but beaten to death by mob action - her husband had publicly and categorically denied such allegation. As for acquitting her alleged assailants; the law is very clear, a judge cannot convict until a case is proven beyond reasonable doubt - no need saying that mob action crimes are usually the most difficult to prove; considering the almost zero conviction of the perpetrators of jungle in the south; who often strip naked, beat up and roast alive alleged criminals such as armed robbers, kidnappers, ritualists etc to death. Finally, if you are still dissatisfied and insist upon their guilt and therefore conviction; well the door is not entirely closed; you may want to try persuading her family, your church or any other powerful Christian group e.g. CAN to take the matter forward, by way of appeal, right up to the supreme court. |
deliveryboy:These ones were setting out to develop Asia; lucky they will not be returning in caskets like many of their blodas with similar ambition. |
Izonpikin:And would make it much even more easier for Nigeria, be cause no longer will it be held at a ransom and also for the northern region should the country ever break up. |
ChetaNwaeze:LOL, you said it all.
|
Nothing new, this picture of a northern girl studying and selling corn at the same time has been around for quite some time; wonder why it has not also gone viral or at least made the NL front page.
|
Rednaxelot:Don't mind them; assuming if the story is true, at least she finally passed while many of them here are still struggling with JAMB, let alone gaining admission and graduating. A significant number of them may also have been products of exam malpractice; having cheated or had someone sit for their exams, slept with lecturers or outrightly bought their marks. Some may even be parading themselves with forged certificates or sharing a single certificate between several of them as a family of the same name. Besides, Rotimi Williams graduated with a pass or 3rd class to only later become one of Nigeria's finest celebrated lawyers. I really commend Buhari for having not used his influence and position to buy her free passage, as some parents of many those with negative comments would otherwise probably have done. As for Halima Buhari, well she has everything going for her: coming from one of the most respected family in the country, she is pretty, happily married and lately gaining a qualification (even if she had to repeat law school) that is still beyond the wildest dream of millions - including many here in NL. |
Rexyl:Its either you did not read my post or you not understand the meaning of the word misinformation; otherwise you wouldn't have typed that crap. |
realsolver:Muslims should be allowed to cover their daughters modesty; while those who want their children to expose their unclothedness should also be free to do so. Alhamdulillahi for this judgement. |
