Where are Sam and Dean Winchester when you need them. These are tasks for hunters! ![]() |
take dat: Even if it was meant to be a metaphor, is it not outright foolishness to say such in the presence of the so called Foreign investors. Reasons why others don't take us serious!Exactly!! Methaphor or not there are manner of speaking when addressing the public, investors or any important person or group of people. Kai!! Most polticians in dis country have to go for courses on business writing and speaking. This is very inappropriate especially to investors looking to invest their hard earned money. Imagine how this wud sound to them. The impression they are giving of the country is very bad. |
@ Bece I reside in abuja too. If you want we can split the cost of the transport. |
how much for the 8 inch and 10 inch boxes? Do you make customized cake boxes? That is can I send u specifications for a cake box? |
pak: Am sorry ma, but I just went through the article and I still cant figure out where they said she's already into drugs. please can you kindly point it out to me.Ure right no mention of drugs in the article. She already sexually active i guess if she's sneaking in guys to the house at 3am, she drinks and sneaks out of the house. So I guess the best thing for the parents to do is take a wait and see approach before they decide to take a more drastic action. This was a last resort for the parents who definitely care very much about their daughter. We know what happen to these kind of kids in the US. Its neva a pretty outcome and when they do realize what they've done with their life its too late to change. |
jidegirl12: As much as I do not like to mention my family in social media ...cos this is a child related topic...and you asked nicely..I will answer you....Ok lets keep the discussion focused. This has nothing to do with naija parents and their disciplinary action (although a lot of peeps would testify it made them the person they are today). The topic is about a girl in the US who acted like a delinquent brat and had to pay for her actions. Not her first offense either and she finally facing the consequences. If you decide to treat ur child like that I have no qualms with that. To each their own. But having first hand experience in the social service field in the US, I can tell you that the holding hands and talking in a gentle voice crap does not work on kids who are already as far gone as the girl in the article. What parent in their right mind would want to see their child become useless. A parent will neva give up on their child and that's exactly what these parents are doing - not giving up on their daughter. No parent wants their child to become another statistics. She's a delinquent teenager and very lucky she has not seen the four walls of a juvenile detention yet. The parents are hoping that intervening now with such an unconventional discipline will help her get back on track. Their method of discipline will not and I repeat will not cause her to be more delinquent. She will be highly embarrassed and most likely be pissed as hell at her parents but that would not lead her to become more delinquent. I'm not a mother but I can tell you right now that I would rather cut off my hands than watch the child I carried 9 months go to waste. E no fit happen. |
pak: I indeed feel sorry for the girl !!Did you even read the article?? She's already into drugs and other vices, which is why they took such a drastic measure (I don't even consider it drastic enuf). So instead of disciplining her which they have already tried doing by grounding her and seizing all her electronics. They shud rebuke and criticize (which mind they have done if you read the article) and encourage her bad behavior in public. Yea that shud totally help her change her bad behavior (sarcasm). And who knows next time she will start cooking up meth at home. Negative behavior/action attracts consequences. If she didn't want to be subjected to this kind of humiliation. She shud not have done all those things. Easy as that. Not rocket science |
jidegirl12: OMG !! are you for real!! ofcourse you are ..what am I talking about?Ure kidding me right? How does this qualify as violence and don't give me that naija violence for violence crap. I've sat across the table from a 15 year old girl with 4 kids and expecting her 5th one and expecting the State to take care of her children. You just know these guys are going no where in life. And you wonder where the parents were when all this was happening. So again I ak what solution do you have or to put it another way if this was ur child what wud you do? Or how would you handle the situation? |
jidegirl12: This is point blank ABUSE!!! Naija! chei! That girl will need series of therapy sessions to get her self esteem back in orde...that's if she ever will...dem don damage her ...just like that! young girls are the most vulnurable being..Really abuse? What do we propose they do to her then? Hold her hands and talk to her gently and pray that she changes her behavior. Her parents have already done that and all she does it laugh in their face and she has the audacity to sneak guys into her room at 3am in d morning. That is in itself is a slap in the parents face and highly disrepectful. I commend the parents for stepping up to the plate. If her behavior goes unchecked chances are she will end up as a drunkie with 10 kids from different men, no prospects or worse dead on some street corner. So pretty pls tell me who is abusing who? Kids of nowadays I fear o! |
@yomi pls reply I'm interested in the box. Thanks |
Its still not too late to place your orders for Christmas. Call us today and put in your order. http://www.facebook.com/5starcravings twitter: @5starcravings email: order@5starcravings.com |
The reason why nigeria will remain in its current state. I can't believe that ppl are actually complaining about this law. Its so sad. You want the country to develop but don't want to adhere to the laws of the land. The first thing that struck me when I came back to Nigeria apart from the dirt, grime and having to look left and right before crossing the sidewalks for pedesterian was the indiscriminate parking on sidewalk, middle of the road or just parked carelessly. Its high time we as citizens lived up to expectation because shout as much as you want Nigeria will neva change if we the citizens are unwilling to change. BRF I commend you for bringing order to a chaotic society. Maybe change is possible afterall in this country. Thank you for seeing what's outside and bringing them closer to home. Now if you can somehow implement this law in Abuja I wud be most grateful. Abuja drivers dare I say are the worst breed of drivers. For a Lagosian to even affirm this means we have a serious problem. |
Ok. Thank you very much for the recipe. I've had Taco salad before but not in Nigeria which is why I was asking if the stores recommended are in nigeria. I can only speak for myself but it wud be nice when presenting recipes on this board that the ingredients can be acquired in Nigeria too. For example sour cream isn't available in naija and making ur own sour cream is just tedious. I know its not an essential ingredient but its good to try things the right way before taking short cuts. Again thank you for recipes. Nigeria has a lot or raw ingredients but we just don't know how to make use of them. So if you cud post recipes tailored to ingredients such as avocado and mango for example which we tend to have abundance of when in season that wud be great. ![]() |
Thanks Bece!! The one with the transparent cover? |
Akanniade: Haba, thats double work now.Just like a sink, you don't want stuff clogging up ur dishwasher. Its imperative you scrape ur plate off first. If for some reason uve had ur dishwasher for a while remember to wash the dishwasher itself. There are detergents formulated specifically to clean the dishwasher. |
lancaster: Did anybody see this trash info? How can u be paid N1million for a job you got a jeep, abus and started building a house....!!!!This is modern day miracle! He bought a car, jeep, built a house and have 500k to spare. Reminds me of a similar story from the good book, where Jesus fed 10k crowd with three pieces of fish and 5 loaves of bread. |
Still looking for cake boxes and storage cake containers. Pls if you cud point me in d right direction I will really appreciate it. Thanks. |
Are these stores in Nigeria ![]() |
It would work. The only problem like one of the other posters mentioned will depend on what kind of dishwashing soap you use. You still need to scrape off any grim from ur plates before placing in the dishwasher otherwise it might not wash well. I've tried putting plate with dried on food in the dishwasher and it didn't wash well. I'm not sure if they have good dishwashing soap in naija. So you might have to look around for a good one. With that said I don't see why a dishwasher won't work in naija. |
Quite cool even though its kinda weird. I can see this look for Halloween but not daily. I wonder how they get that plastic finish look for their face. |
Fani-Kayode is just looking for attention or at least intent at driving traffic to his FB page to test his followership. Before Barack Obama’s presidency, same sex marriage and abortion have been in the fore-front of the Democratic Party’s agenda in the US. In fact, Obama has been slow to embrace that stance saying and I quote “my opinion on them is still evolving” until recently when his party mandated him to take a stand. On the Hurricanes, it is the most stupid propaganda about this election. Hurricanes happen at about the same period of the year in the United States and so do the primaries and general elections that hold at about the same period four years ago. This does not require rocket science to figure out. On the war in Syria, America’s economy is just healing from the recession and it would be foolhardy for Obama to channel tax-payer’s money to fund a war in Syria that holds no economic benefit to the United States unlike Libya’s oil in which America stands to increase its stake over China’s. In addition, America’s policy on Syria has been compelled to a “stand-aloof” because the rebels there are much more aligned to Al-Qaeda. The US is weary of repeating the mistake it made in Egypt where they helped the opposition only for non-loyalist Muslim brotherhood, who could threaten the Israeli state, to emerge. On the size of government, Fani-Kayode needs to get his facts right. America’s government overhead has been on the decline since Obama’s presidency. As far as I’m concerned, this election is to decide whether Americans appreciate Obama’s efforts to arrest the recession and stabilize the economy or whether they feel he should have resolved all issues in 4yrs. Obama dug the pit for himself when he promised heaven in 2008. From feelers here in the US, Obama still have a marginal chance over Romney.
You summed this up perfectly. Kudos!! |
See me see wahala so dis guy come leave em pot of soup wey dey fiya come dey shook eye for anoda persin pot of soup! I'm pissed that this guy has given us zero contribution to the state of affairs in Nigeria and he's here commenting on Obama's administration (who mind you was able to pull the country out of the worst depression till date) and you have done what for ur own country?? I'm still struggling to find fuel on a daily basis, dealing with the hassles of my country and you have the audacity to comment on how anoda country is handling their affairs!!!! Mr.Dude you sir are worse than the oil cabals put together!! Now go find yourself a play toy or something to occupy urself with. |
