GEJ response just shows a major disconnect from the problems faced in the country. how does the cost of governance relate to competency in the civil service? I'm not sure GEJ is running this country. are u sure he's not a dummy presidenthuh he just sounds too clueless

bece: These cutie carrot was made for a nairaland member †✽o
I never got the chance to show u how they turned out. I goofed up the beautiful carrots and it came out all sweaty and goey but it still turned out nice. I committed a lot of blunders with this particular cake ball and it came out not so nice. I mean the tasted great but not atheistically appealing the subsequent one came out perfect (IMO) grin. Any way enjoy the pics. These are cake ball for those who are wondering.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Nigerian Presenters And The 'fake' American Accents? by Meddler(f): 7:46pm On Sep 16, 2013
Nosyke: ...and here i was thinking it was only me that notices them.......... undecided
is kiki the one that speaks like she's punctuating every single word? because I can't stand her. Ciana is another one and then the presenters on 99.9 kiss FM abuja. and the absolute worse Benny Ark- I swear every time I hear his voice I feel like slapping him.

I don't find what's fake about the presenters on MTN project fame, maltina dance all and toolz. are we listening to the same people?

Akposy: Kudos to Y me, dream and meddler!!

Pls I want to bake d banana cake but dnt ave an oven.... Can it be done wit d stove?
definitely! u will need a large pot that covers well and won't let any heat escape. I'm guessing you use gas stove. Set on medium high heat. it might take a couple tries to get the heat at the correct setting. But medium high shud be OK. cover the bottom of the pot with salt and place stones in the pot to set ure cake pan that way u prevent the bottom of ure cake burning. below is a pic of a cake I baked in a pot.

caribchic: The aloe, water and oil mix is great, i used it before. My routine is really simple..i don't use a million products but my hair has thrived amazingly.
Cleanse: (No shampoo) once a week i use cleanse my scalp with ACV, i like to co-wash every other day so i use pantene co-wash cleanser (its amazing)
Rinse-out conditioner : Tresemme naturals or tresemme curl hydration
Leave-in : i leave some of the conditioner in my hair from washing..(days when i don't wash i just spritz some water)
Sealant: shea butter whipped with coconut oil
Deep condition: once a week i DC with ORS replenishing pak or just a mix of oils and honey.
Styling: World of curls pudding or flax seed gel i make

When i first started my journey i busted my pockets with the Carol's Daughter, Miss Jessie's, Mixed Chicks etc..now i've settled on something that's more accessible and effective, i'm just over 3 years natural.
I've heard so many things about cowashing, I'm just hesitant because I feel it would cause a lot of buildup. is that the case for you?
FashionRe: Beauty Of Natural Hair Thread :) by Meddler(f): 12:43pm On Sep 13, 2013
deejay717: Your hair is beautiful... I have to try the black soap I've heard of alot of positive feedback about it. What's some other things you added/ deleted from your regimen ?
thank you. I use honey, coconut oil, Shea butter and VO5 for deep conditioning.

I've never being a fan of leave in conditioners but really thinking I shud add one to my regimen. I'm thinking a mix of aloe vera, water and oil.

For now I just use water as a moisturizer and seal with my Shea butter, castor oil and coconut oil mix.

[quote author=*Kails*]You guys I literally just spent the last hour + preparing my hair. For my braid out which I am excited about. dowjones: You bake your cake and have it? Talk about super powers
Guilty! I don't like to brag about it though grin. I'm thinking of making it three layers- one brownie layer, chocolate layer and then a white Russian cake layer ( what's a birthday cake without alcohol) sandwiched with chocolate ganache and covered with chocolate swiss meringue buttercream. OMG!! just thinking about its epicness is mind boggling. cool cool grin

FamilyRe: X by Meddler(f): 1:28pm On Sep 04, 2013
my two cents. u mentioned u were looking for a traditional girl, I can only assume u mean a girl who wud be respectful, complies before questioning, cooks, cleans the whole nine yards right? maybe ure girl was also looking for a traditional guy- one who shud cater to all her needs including her financial needs. So I guess one person is benefiting while the other (ure girl) feels she's being ripped off.
But hey, ure the one with a list of criteria that your girl must meet (not saying its wrong, to each their own). But the saying you can't have ure cake and eat it too seems to apply to your case. Just saying.

HealthRe: I'm Experiencing Sleep Paralysis - Please Advice! by Meddler(f): 9:23pm On Aug 13, 2013
I've experienced sleep paralysis since secondary school. freaked me out the first time I had it. still have till date. mine are always accompanied with hallucinations and lucid dreams where I realize I'm actually dreaming. I haven't found any cure for it yet. I don't know if there's a spiritual element to it but I do invoke the blood of Jesus when I really start freaking out and it really does help. well its more like screaming it in my head. still yet to find a reasonable answer to why this happens.
FoodRe: Oily Cakes by Meddler(f): 9:34pm On Aug 12, 2013
now that's a bit tricky. increasing the flour might make Ur cake dry. but still test it out. I use simas butter occasionally and haven't experienced the problem u described
FoodRe: Oily Cakes by Meddler(f): 3:09pm On Aug 12, 2013
increase the flour and see how it comes out. now apart from being oily, is the cake moist or dry?
