I am in the same situation now.She has shown me some kind of sincerity through errands she went for me in naija and her openness to my questions.I have only seen her pics and seen her on cam.I am still thinking over it and most especially she's from a city very close to my town. huh huh huh
If you sincerely love her and you feel she also does.Then why not meet her.I think it will work for both of you the fact that you are close to each other.How did u meet?In Nairaland?
RomanceDoes Love Exist Over The Net? by mediatrix8(op): 2:59pm On Nov 08, 2010
The success of falling and staying in love via the net depends on the individuals involved. The most obvious downside to this is that it's really hard to tell whether the person you're corresponding with is sincere or not. It's tough enough to determine a person's real intentions in regular face-to-face interactions, and doubly so when all you've got are words and maybe a webcam to communicate with.

However, love, whether it's communicated virtually or in the flesh, requires a leap of faith (okay, and sharp character judgment skills). And even if it's hard, there are many couples who've already managed to form successful, even lifetime unions simply from meeting and corresponding online.What do you think of it?
RomanceRe: Why Do Men Cheat? by mediatrix8(f): 2:19pm On Nov 08, 2010
So, are cheaters born cheaters, or do certain situations cause people to cheat? Probably a little bit of both. Here are some situations that make people cheat:

1. Bored
I'd say this is the most common reason that people cheat.It's tough to keep that edge throughout a relationship. Things start off grand and then level off and then you both realize that it's still real life. When you meet someone else, that inaugural excitement of a new relationship kicks back in.

2. Dependence
At first glance, cheating seems like independent behavior. It could be interpreted as doing what you want, when you want. But I would argue that cheating is a dependent behavior. A cheater is dependent because they are not strong enough to break up with their significant other in order to get with the new person.

3. Confusion
Sometimes life or a particular situation can get to you. When the perfect storm of confusion is going on in your head, you make mistakes.

4. Because They Let You
If any girl /boy ever cheated on you, U'd break up with her/him immediately. Forgiving a cheater is putting up with it, and starts a vicious cycle. That person who cheated may lose respect for you and might continue to cheat-because they know they can get away with it, because you'll continue to take them back.

5. Nurturing
If someone is mistreating you, then your first instinct is to get away from him or her. But sometimes it's not that simple-maybe you are raising kids together. If you feel trapped in a bad relationship, it's only natural that you will run to the open arms of a person who treats you well.

6. Revenge
This is quite simple- an eye for an eye. Cheat on them if they cheat on you. If they continuously hurt you or abuse you in some way, you do it to get them back.

7. Confirmation of Attractiveness
Sometimes when you're in a long relationship, or if your significant other is taking you for granted, you begin to wonder if you're still attractive. Perhaps, because you were out on the dating circuit, you felt more attractive when you were single. If you have an affair, you've proven that a new person can be attracted to you.

8. The Thrill
Some people just enjoy the thrill of cheating: running around secretly, risking getting caught, andcreating thrilling moments with a forbidden romance.

9. They Don't Consider It Cheating, Even Though You Might
Relationships have that grey area, usually right before you become exclusive. He thinks date #4 is when you're "together," and you think date #2 is when you're "together." If you haven't talked about exclusivity, someone may think they are well within their rights to see other people, even though the other person in the relationship may not.

I don't understand why people don't break up as soon as they have an urge to cheat. Is it natural to have temptation, or is temptation a sign that the relationship is losing its fire? What reasons would you add to this list, and do you disagree with any? If you've ever cheated, why did you do it? Could you forgive a cheater? If you are single, but seeing a person who is in a committed relationship, does that make you a cheater?
RomanceRe: Race And Relationships by mediatrix8(f): 12:52pm On Nov 08, 2010
I for one,I never consider race in my relationship ,Race isn’t a big deal when two people are in love - nothing else is important but their happiness,and What are the keys to their happiness? Ofcourse,mutual understanding,compatibility,loyalty,care. Love & Trust.Now,take a look at the following :

Benefits of an Interracial Relationship
•  Learning about another culture or religion.
•  Being exposed to new ways of thinking.
•  Incorporating aspects of the culture/race/religion into you daily life.
•  Becoming stronger in what you believe.
•  Having an incredible experience with someone you love and respect.
•  Possibly learning a new language.
•  Being exposed to another country.
•  By example teaching others around you that the relationship is like any other, with challenges but worth it.
. The children of this relationship are likely to be better global citizens than those born from marriages/ relationships of the same race.

I am engaged to a person outside my race and I never see any problem because we are carrying they keys to our happiness .We will try our best to stand the test of time inorder to be together till the end. wink

Shocking to know this thing OMG, the poster of this thread isn't a Chinese lol.I am sure about that.I have been teaching English to Chinese in China for almost 5 years now and I don't think a Chinese lady can create such writing style as that, though I know they are really grammatically conscious but then you can still see their Chinese styles and ways of Writing. .I wish I have seen her post earlier.Anyway, Her problem is true,I can see that! She just don't wanna reveal her identity.

RomanceRe: Possessive Versus Entitlement In Relationships by mediatrix8(f): 5:48pm On Nov 06, 2010
From the moment you say " i do" to each other,signifying possessions- that you belong to each other.Being possessive is a "negative"  attitude at the times -which often define as "selfishness".Hence,husband and wife/gf/bf ,in love they belong to each other so they are entitled or responsible to each other but it doesn't mean ownership wink wink wink, that's my own point of view smiley
RomanceRe: Favorite Love Quotes by mediatrix8(f): 5:27pm On Nov 06, 2010
Perfect day

As I sit here thinking of you,
Which is something I often do,
I think of how you make me feel inside.

Loving you brings to me such pride,
I love you deeper then the earths core;
Yet every second I find myself loving you more.
I love your smile, your laugh, your touch;
Your kisses awaken my saddened heart.

I wait to see you pull in the drive,
After all these years I still get that tingle inside,
I lay beside you at night, my arms around you;
It is the perfect way to end the day through.
To wake up beside you at the sound of the alarm,
It is now me who is in your arms,
I start each day perfect with seeing your face,
I end each day perfect with you in my embrace.

All the time in between while we're apart;
I miss you terribly, but it is a perfect day,
For I carry you in my heart. wink wink

Jealousy if overdone can be damaging & yes I'll go with the way of aca77 , there has to be some level of jealousy if a guy/gal truly loves you.
Ofcourse I can't stop guys from approaching my girl but her response would determine if I'll  question he love. I should be bothered if a guy is flirting with my girl and she easily gives out her number with all smiles , haba that's just not right. Meanwhile , if she were just a fling I wouldn't give two Zap.s as long as I get my own Zap
well,your first 2 sentences related to the topic really make sense but your last sentence is some kinda huh lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
