Waō. How time flies........ 😊

What we do now is a testament to how our successors are going to be view or treated by when we are no longer there.

Let's all wish this country good by wishing the leaders well, I having in mind that the success is ours and their failures is ours.

Rest well MKO
PoliticsRe: DSS Arrests Suspended CBN Gov, Godwin Emefiele by meedoLock(m): 8:26am On Jun 10, 2023
When you overstay ur welcome in a place without a clear path, you are bound to become an evil god or witch.

No one should defend a CBN Gov of this part of the world. He never said he had one superior up there fielding him with Intel during the naira redesign shenanigans, no blueprints were revealed and the man had never for once claim innocent to the matter.

From poor morning colourisation, poor implementation of money policy, hoarding of naira notes and other inhumane policies which plunged numerous Nigerians into financing difficulties. Businesses were lost, people lost their lives and so on.. Yet we think someone should not be held responsible for all of that to deter further hardship from public servants?

Let's start from somewhere at least.

Another problem is Senegal is a francophone country...so news may be spreading on the Francophone newsphere, not the Anglophone newsphere. (unless some English speaking channel adopts the story like Al Jazeera English)
Francophone or Anglophone news will easily trend on handles like Twitter and what have you.....People believe that when they update on Twitter, it will travel faster than on any other means of disbursing news. I think there is a kind of conspiracy going on within the political affairs in that country that could be used as a tool to keep it out of reach

At the bolded....you should watch channels like Al Jazzera Englisch.(They have a reporter on ground who has been doing reports for the past week or so, if not longer)

But basically, what is happening is that Senegal faces elections next year, and the main opposition candidate is on the verge of getting banned from the election because he just got convicted of statutory rape...(girl was a minor legally at the time of the rape)....and his supporters are not amused.
I wouldn't dispute this, however, don't you think making this news available on the social handles like Twitter will make it circulate quicker than on Ajazeera? How many people have time to watch Ajazeera TV like having a quick access on social media.

The Endsars protest basically took off on Twitter and became accessible to the world.

Africa and Africans should create their own media space and stop whining like a drenced horse. You want a white man to help you broadcast what black people are doing to black people.
Even if the app belongs to an African, it might not have made the situation different because this is more political and don't forget the owner does not only make more from Europeans users but all his users globally.

So, I saw this tweet on my TL that a brutal and violent protest is going on presently in Senegal, but doesn't go well with senegans on tweeter because the situation has been intentionally underreported.
Not even with the usage of VPN app.

How come this is not given the kind of media attention one would av expected it to get.

Hands have been directed on Elon Musk, the C. E. O of Twitter for an allege connivance with state actors to make sure the incident doesn't see the light of the day....

So, the much awaited tenure of PMB ends today, and I've been reasoning with all his policies since the emergence of this administration which I view very deadly and hostile to mankind.

Which of these policies did you feel most and to what extent.

From :
*BORDER CLOSURE
*THE LONGEVITY OF ASSU STRIKE
*INFLATION
*RECESSION
*LOPSIDED APPOINTMENT
*SCARCITY OF CRUDE OIL
*CASHLESS POLICY

As for me, I'm hit with them all.

True. You can argue with or insult someone today and the next moment the person is dead. Of course life goes on as there may even be no way of you getting to know. That's why it's good to be polite to people, cos what you say to them may be some of the last words they hear.
I tell you bro........ Life is deeper than we think, but people don't realize this.

I didn't even know where to push this to on all Nairaland sections, it took me some time before a decision to push it here because none of the headings align with my post grin

So, I logged in on Nairaland some hours ago. But I noticed Nairaland has grown to about 3 million plus followers.

In my state of reasoning, I told my self that a chunk of these 3 million members would have ceased to exist at some point. (I mean dead) tongue

As we all know people dies everyday, but do we mind? You just log in, push a post or comment in a very brutal way and act like all iz well. Yet this is nobody's fault out of our ignorance. This is why I shakes my head when people engage one another in a very disrespectful and bitter manners.

If you emotionally taunt someone here, or you slander someone's image and the person go out there and commit suicide as a result of ur taunting, would you know? With other unspeakable attitudes from some members on this forum.

Is this Mr Seun's fault? Capital No, how may people will Ṣeun ban in a day if to go by people's engaging attitude, he would rather close down the page and I doubt anyone would build a house and raze down him/her self. Meanwhile, This forum is like day to day tonic for most of us. The addiction is out of this world. Yet we never engage peacefully grin

The motive of my epistle is that 'you guys should try as much as possible to be respectful most especially when engaging unknown person as you don't know what's going on behind scene for people.

Don't let me forget to ask you guys to post familiar monikers whom you no longer see their posts or comment anymore on Nairaland. This might go a long way undecided undecided

Don't abuse me o. angry grin grin grin

Just let us know a moniker you miss on this forum. grin grin angry

Make we use da one hold body..... grin angry
