What planet do you live in?

You are already recolonized.
Remember: He who pays the piper determines the tunes. By the time Nigeria finishes dancing to the discordant tunes from the West and Asia, you will hate being a Nigerian.

People should realise that this deal is between Nigeria & China, and it's only for a short term, just to ease the hardship the dollar is giving us in importing products from China nii, since about 70% of things we use in Nigeria is from China.
we Nigerians are not complaining of the hardship any longer. It has became part of us. Let's develop our local industries.

A beggar has no choice. If a creditor gives some unfavourable conditions, a prospective borrower has an option of walking away. Regrettably, Nigeria is in no such position financially.

The good news:

If we buy materials from Chinese companies, China pays for them. At least we get the materials. Compare it with giving $2b to Nigeria and the fund develops wings overnight. That is, no money no materials.
\
if it still can fly, then what's the prospect of fighting corruption, now china can manage our resources better? Then we can invite them to, recolonisze us

agreed, so what are the alternatives? We need to proffer solutions more these days than complain.

But if its all about complain, then sorry op you've got no point
can somebody tell me if this loan can fix our local industries or cripple them futher, for me as a businessman I know that China is only an export oriented country. They must always protect their interest first. By the way why not reduce our reserve by $2 billion. Instead of borrowing with interest, NIGERIA be wise.

cool[quote author=Zoharariel post=43624522]Shut the fvck up! The is the price you pay for your avarice, over-ambition & greedy lust for power.

In the early hours of January 15th, Kaduna Nzeogwu disgruntled over a list of items with the ruling political class and with disdain for certain regionalists, led an army of fellow Igbo Majors and a Yoruba, Ademoyega Adewale, in a military coup against the political leadership of Nigeria.

Kaduna Nzeogwu’s Igbo squad killed the premier of the Northern and Western regions but of course left the Igbo Eastern premiere alive.

He killed the Finance minister (Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh), who was Nigeria’s #3 man, but left the number #2 man. Azikiwe was left alive.

As if that wasn't enough, an Igbo bakery made a loaf of bread, depicting Nzeogwu as the Saint in the ‘Saint George and the Dragon’ medieval crusader story, from the 7-11th century.

The loaf of bread had Nzeogwu as Saint George, standing over and  killing Sardauna, who was depicted as the bleeding dragon.

This depiction was highly provocative to a welcoming Hausa-Fulani, still licking their wounds and being hospitable, after an unprovoked Igbo led military coup and assassination of their finest.

This triggered the first inter-ethnic crises in the North. Igbos fled to the East, and returned only later under guarantee of their safety by president Ironsi.

Later that year, in July, General Murtala Muhammed, taking advantage of the precedent, led a very bloody, 4-day coup and overthrew the Ironsi Government.

At this stage, Igbos in the north were highly targeted in outbreaks of ethnic violence. Thousands were reportedly killed, though the numbers can not be verified. And this was the episode of the Igbo exodus to the South.

Deal with it! The Igbos were certainly the cause of their predicaments and we will keep reminding you each time you choose to blame everyone & everything else for your woes.[/quote. ] Shut up and be wise

Instead of getting paranoid about the recent spate of accidents, it should be a wake-up call to the federal government and Nigerians to live up to their responsibilities of ensuring the highways are safer.
There actually used to be fewer accidents when the roads were bad. Now people want to fly on the road.
