EducationRe: Lekki Nursery School Where Acceptance Fee Is N2million (Photo) by megareal: 9:51am On Jan 17, 2017
There is no way I would pay this much for nursery school. I'd rather divide that money and send some unfortunate kids to school too.

I love my husband, but I don't pray to die with him. He is my senior, let him go there when he is old and get our mansion ready, I'll join him at a later date. grin grin

Btw, Annie, dis kind prayer should be done in your bedroom, everyday till you old. Not once on social media. undecided

I didn't hear anything indicting in what she said. Her reply was mainstream diplomatic jargon. She didn't support him, only encouraged him to pursue peace. So Madam relax, though he played you , he also successfully shot himself in the foot.

If this story is true, Op, kindly tell your husband to park well. Why is he trying to drag you down because he lost his job? If the marriage will end, so be it. How can a husband be so blind and uncaring to even suggest what he is suggesting ?

You have responsibilities, so face reality.
FamilyRe: Why Do Married Men Cheat On Their Wives? by megareal: 11:31am On Jan 16, 2017
They will give all sorts of reasons to justify adultery but truth is that those criticisms on the wife are also those things that the wife sees in the husband and still goes ahead to accept him and be faithful.

I hate cheats. Whether you are wired to do it, or pushed to do it. If I can be faithful, I expect same from my spouse. Period.

I've seen older women give birth without all the stress and fuss we the younger ones go through. African women are naturally gifted sef. But I expect to be looking forward to a new generation at fifty not still making my own.

I am just told that I lost the baby by the doctor.

He was incubated since yesterday.

To God be the glory.

Thanks friends.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know its painful, but it is well. Please do well to console your wife, another baby will come soon.

Btw, don't ever think for one minute that it's a punishment from God. Take care.

I just read your last post before my reply. Ensure to get the fibroids operated on after she recovers to give her a better chance at another pregnancy. Choose an expert on that field to avoid complications. Six months to a year after the operation is ideal to try for another pregnancy. My prayers are with you.

I learned nobody cares since I was little. Its a lesson that stares me in the face everytime. It's a hard knock life, but the best is we can make it even when nobody cares cos God cares enough to make you succeed when you try to do the little you can.

It's an advice...grow some sense. smiley
Too late to play nice.

Even men have issues with their fellow men in hostels. There was a thread on bad room-mate experiences long time ago...every gender was represented.

Men are also jealous of their fellow men, don't you see them on NL asking where E-money got his money? grin
The only difference is, women are more vocal. That's why a husband would be considered nice, while the wife would be called the evil one, because she speaks out...not knowing it's her husband's mind she is speaking.
Agreed, jealousy cuts across all genders. But it isnt about jealousy alone. A host of other factors are there. Unnecessary suspicion, revenge on petty reasons, backstabbing, competition etc. Suffice it to say, we are our worst enemy.

Btw, I still maintain , we have the good ones.

Very much expected. I am sure other females will say same...I still want to know who the jealous troublesome ones are...maybe not from, from someone else.
Maybe this whole women hate themselves is all in their head. I've seen more male insulting females on NL, than female to female.
My dear, I'm typing from experience. I've lived in the hostel all through my school years and I can say some stuff are best left in horror stories.

You that is harping on this matter may well be one of them. grin

Who are these jealous and suspicious women with plenty wahala? smiley
I get wahala but its targeted at the men folk. But am never jealous. I'm always content. That's the first lesson I learned from my mum as a child. Satisfied?

Oya start asking yourself, Am I jealous or suspicious of another female?
FamilyRe: Why Is It Difficult For Two Females To Live Together Peacefully? by megareal: 8:45pm On Jan 07, 2017
I'm a woman, but I know our wahala too much, reason I don't have female friends

The reasons vary, from jealousy to suspicion to competition. It's an unending list.

FamilyRe: Women In Ancient Nigeria by megareal: 8:33pm On Jan 07, 2017
In Ibibio culture, from what I can gather, women were not second class citizens but they weren't too influential though except in family settings.

Marriage was mostly prearranged. And most married wives had s3x for the first time on their wedding night.

Premarital sex was frowned upon and a child out of wedlock was a shame to the family. If a man happened to get any girl pregnant before marriage, he was quickly forced to marry her by both families to avert shame as shaming was not limited to the girl's family alone.

I also heard their dressing was special. Maidens went topless with a little bead or wrapper covering their privates while the married ones covered up and down. (And there was nothing like rape o)

A woman at childbirth (esp the first baby) was tended to like a queen. After delivery, she will not be made to do anything. She was waited on hands and feet, bathed and ministered to by a special midwife whose duty it was to get her female parts back to her pre pregnancy state, restore her complexion and mould her through massage to be appealing once more to her husband.

Someone else will bathe and massage her baby, and she will only touch the child during breastfeeding. It was believed she had come back from a tedious journey and needed to rest (No be today where we come back from hospital and start scrubbing the floor angry)

And after omugwo, the mum or MI will find her a hsehelp to help around the house. Some used to have up to four and sometimes the husband will later marry the househelp sef.

Pls note that some of this practices also varied. Like circumcision and the use of fattening rooms.

How is this kegel exercise being done?
Since I can't really explain in my own words, I got this from Mayo website.

How to do Kegel exercises

To get started:

Find the right muscles. To identify your pelvic floor muscles, stop urination in midstream. If you succeed, you've got the right muscles. Once you've identified your pelvic floor muscles you can do the exercises in any position, although you might find it easiest to do them lying down at first.

Perfect your technique. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles, hold the contraction for five seconds, and then relax for five seconds. Try it four or five times in a row. Work up to keeping the muscles contracted for 10 seconds at a time, relaxing for 10 seconds between contractions.

Maintain your focus. For best results, focus on tightening only your pelvic floor muscles. Be careful not to flex the muscles in your abdomen, thighs or buttocks. Avoid holding your breath. Instead, breathe freely during the exercises.

Repeat three times a day. Aim for at least three sets of 10 repetitions a day.

Don't make a habit of using Kegel exercises to start and stop your urine stream. Doing Kegel exercises while emptying your bladder can actually lead to incomplete emptying of the bladder — which increases the risk of a urinary tract infection.

It was mainly through the use of herbs. She say she and even her mum no sabi half the herbs used on her.

Some were for massage, some in warm water for her to sit on, some in peppersoup, some placed at the entance to her vag.

Yea, sure. I perform kegels daily, whether preggers or not and it sure works. Most ladies are not aware of it or perform it wrongly.
