Clinton9000:Yeye, I'm not Yoruba. |
BlackMbakara1:Dont mind them. They are claiming South South as Biafra, meanwhile Akwa Ibom and Cross River want no part with them. I'm not against their agitations, but they shouldn't try to rope in regions that are not interested. |
Sensible post. Thanks OP. |

Finally! Good news from Kenya ![]() |

The truth is there. The man is looking for a cashcow, he is not even ashamed to demand his wife take care of him. That's what you get when a woman decides to shoulder the responsibilities of an irresponsible husband. People making marriage a laughingstock since God knows when. |
oloyede252:People like you are reasons I prefer to read , not comment. I dnt have time to bandy words to and fro. You are obviously too narrow minded to reason that you don't need personal experiences to draw conclusions. You only need to be apt and observant to notice the craziness going on around you. Since you are quick to jump to conclusions, na you sabi. I never said I have sisters, but its there in ur mention . Goes to show just how you interprete words. Now if you are done being a nuisance, go concentrate on something else like I'm doing. And keep your myopic interpretations to yourselves. |
oloyede252:Deduce what you like, but the generality of older people I have met live this lie. They are the ones quick to advise young women to endure whatever their husbands do. To be quiet and submissive even when they are dying. They are quick to remind you that it is a man's world and there is nothing you can do to change it except pray. I grew up hating the concept of marriage because of their rubbish outlook on life. You find them in church, communities and families. Incidentally, my mum and grandma were the ones I drew positive inspirations from. Too busy. Im out. |
MIL calls every two days. I usually see the missed calls. I call once in two, three weeks. FIL, never. My mum, once a week or so. She calls me everyday and only calls hubby when she has an important message to pass across. |
Others have five minutes madness per day, this man combined one year madness in one day. |
Everly, my Mum. I have never see a woman like her. She is a reed that refuses to bend in any wind of adversity. She taught me to be strong and pave my way in life. |
Typical. In other words, wife your place is not even in the other room. You are nothing but an appendage of your husband. You are not permitted to be human but a robot. Sebi na you go find marriage? Rubbish! |
Nail on the head. The typical African man operates on double standard. He Sees the woman as inferior and weak while saddling her with major responsibilities that should mainly be executed by the stronger person (the man). Now the women are waking up from their slumber after having seen their mothers and grandmothers live miserable lives and aged overnight while the men continued to flourish and procreate. They called them successful marriages but it was all a farce. I like women who place value on themselves and take steps to be happy in their marriages. Who refuse the age long traditions of enduring and sighing till death. Call it feminism or what you like. A woman deserves to be happy and valued too.. |
Its sad to read people abusing the 18 year old girl worse than the 28 year old irresponsible man. Goes to show that in Nigeria, the female is always at fault. Op, first determine that the foetus is sound through tests and scan. The sniper may have damaged the child. If so, opt for abortion. But, no matter what you do, don't leave the man for posterity. Your family has to make him take responsibility one way or another. His actions show a lot of disrespect and until he is taught a lesson in humility, he will continue this with other girls. There are ways, but find yours. Also realise, this is not the time to blame your niece. Her attempt to snuff her live shows she really was had by the guy. He may have sworn undying love and made lots of promises which in her youth and gullibility she took as gospel. Her suicide attempt is a reaction to her feeling of betrayal and abandonment. Watch her and get her living again. Also reread what Onegai said. There are plausible suggestions there. |
What's Halloween gat to do with us? |
. |
Depends on body type of the woman. |
People are saying cute father, cute son. Hmmmm, maybe I'm not seeing well. |
If you are complaining, it means you see something wrong, and if you can't conform, quit. Don't be a slave in this era. |
I doubt anything natural works. |
Chai, see madness International. |
[quote author=Excuzeme post=50283879] And how come we have never read of one of your CRITICISMS of your husband, here on Nairaland? Okay, you do it inside your house but you support Aisha doing her own on BBC? SMH.sssh All these fake girls sef, married indeed. [/quot oppe]Unfortunately for your myopic opinion, I am married and have kids. Calling me fake will not change that. Now shush... |
madjnr:Are you sure you watched the campaigns? Tell me how Buhari could have gotten the women's vote if his wife didn't go along during campaigns. Or your angst is simply that a woman dared to criticize your almighty President? Btw, I am married and I do advise my husband on workplace issues and he listens because he is enlightened and values women. Now get out of here and stop quoting me. |
lanreni:Your opinion, hold unto it. |
At least they were nominated. |
Truly, it was this interview that really gave me an indepth look into Aisha Buhari. I always thought of her as just another muzzled, subservient Muslim wife. But the contrast to what I had believed is that she is smart and understands what goes on about her. I think she may have raised those issues with her husband, probably offered suggestions on how to tackle them and may have been rebuffed or chided. That interview was her way of letting those hijackers know she is aware of them and their agenda, it was also a call to her husband to sit up and do something. |
Wetin sweet man for mouth, na him hin dey chop die. Kwantinu your business in the other room. ![]() |
Chai! Wicked comments everywhere. But OP, which weed you smoke wey come increase your self esteem negatively. ![]() |
This should be a movie mbok. |
Ok, now we know. But that doesn't justify Aisha belonging to 'the other room'. This is an era where women count for something. |
