It was the letter received from the AIT that ststed that witness statement should be submitted. That same letter gave us the hearing date to be April 30th.

Basically, it was my wife that was refused a visa in october 2007. her refusal note stated that she did not have available accomodation and that the documents in support of her application do not originate from the U.K

Issues; My wife was to stay with my aunty who lives in croydon, and she wrote an invitation letter, and supported it with her gas and electricity bill.

Secondly, the said documents that they are tagging not genuine, i brough them personally from london when i went to visit my aunty.

I wrote a letter of reconsideration to the ECO, and even included a mortgage statement which i asked my aunty to send to me. The original gas and light bill was suppose to be evidence that the accommodation was available.

When the Entry Clearance Manager did not come up with a favourable response, i decided to appeal.

I filled as my wife's representative, as i wanted to go to U.K myself, but my aunty says all the issues were raised against her. So she would be attending the hearing date as her sponsor and representative. We have informed the AIT of this.

I really attacked all the grounds of refusal, with enough exhibits. My wife had enough money, a good job, so i do not know why they still refused her.

I do not know what form the witness statement should be.
