If u have a trusted person he could help out, maybe for a small fee. Also you can land and take care of all in one day. Its not so much to furnish an apartment in Canada as it comes already equipped with stove and fridge. JIREN01: Hello @Megastu @Ednut And any other helpful contributors. I’ve been able to get an apartment in Hamilton and will be moving to Canada next month. However, since I’ll like to make landing as soft as possible. I’ll like to ask if there’s a way I can start the furnishing of my apartment from outside Canada, such that I can arrive Canada to a finished or almost finished apartment. |

The thing really baffles me. I have argued so much with many at different forums. Dont come to Canada without money and depend on miracle. When you talk, they will say you don't want their progress. With all my qualifications, network and smartness, e no easy for me sef, i had to come back to Nigeria. I might go back again, just maybe. I am even advising one guy now that his wife left because they couldn't pay the $8k balance school fees and another man deceived her with fake account balance. They arrived Canada as student and dependent only August 2023 as student and dependant, now both are asylum claimants, potentially failed claimants. I have advised him to tell immigration to send them back to Naija cos now he has sold all his properties, relocated to Canada and within 10 months, lost his wife and kids, broke and depressed. uchennay: So, you are a student and arrive Canada with less than $1000 in a new country, despite the abundance of information online about the current job situation in Canada and the cost of living. It is impossible to depend on working to pay your bills with the current 20-hour work rule and lack of jobs . Now you urgently need work. I think you should have applied for a job at the airport when you arrived because many of you are leaving Nigeria without common sense, and agents are deceiving you. If you're not careful, you might end up seeking asylum and deportation await many of you..hope you hold mat becos no space for their shelter and you go sleep for floor or park for few days! hope you never sell your ancestor land and property in Nigeria before you relocate to Canada as a student where you go pick money on the tree in your dream.you go learn the hard way! |

Then you beat soldier like a thief even pouring water on them. Haba. Why are they now running? The soldier beaten was an MP. Go figure what an MP is in the military. SafariHunter: Naive way of reasoning
Do you know what happened there? People have a right to defend themselves, the soldiers weren't there on official duty. Na so so oppression them Sabi. What's wrong with a soldier bringing the police to settle a civil matter, anything Na to begin do gra gra. No worry yourself, every dog has he or her day, Weds you be soldier or civilian. |

As you are thinking this so hundreds are thinking too. They already know the format. They will delay you and either deport you back or you spend all your income on lawyers. Kingzizu: Please my people, I have never been this confused and bothered in my life.
I have a Canadian VV, I couldn't use it for the purpose I needed it as the visa came out some months later. I have relatives in Canada who are convincing me to come over and seek Asylum. It's new to me but I'm still trying to make some research about asylum seeking.
I graduated 2015 with a CGPA of 4.3 and since then I've not been able to get a good job.
Please, is it worth it considering the fact that Nigeria is getting worse by the day? |

sometimes you could have the money but not cash. That hospital in Festac town, The Hosannah Hospital or so, on 4th avenue allowed my only sister die because of N350k deposit cash. It's not as if the money was not there. My mother was only going to get it from ATM as it was during that emefiele cash crunch of 2023. The medical director didn't even offer her a bed. Left her on the chair in the reception. This is a hospital that she did CS and an earlier operation some years ago. E no go better for some of these doctors. |

If you try it!!! just remember after 6 months that I made this post. Kaymanz: Good day everyone,
I need your input here. I recently lost my elder sister, who was a permanent resident in Canada, and we are planning to lay her to rest soon.
I have applied for and received a visitor's visa to attend the burial in Canada. Currently, I work as an accountant and earn relatively well as an entry-level staff.
Would it be a good idea for me to leave my job here in Nigeria and use this as an opportunity to relocate, considering that I only have 6 months to secure a job in Canada that could sponsor my work permit?
I would like to know my chances of securing a job or converting my visitor's visa to either a work permit or a study visa.
Please, I need your input, as I am very confused at the moment. |

Most newcomers like Scaborough or York due to its transport assessibility. For families you can do Mississauga, Brampton or Hamilton. They are between 35-55mins from Toronto and ideal for families. JIREN01: Hello everyone. I recently got the “request for visa” mail from IRCC and have sent my passport across. I currently stay in the UK and plan to travel to Canada with my wife by July. I’ll be moving to Ontario, as I got in through PNP. However, Ontario is really big, and it has been very difficult figuring out the precise city to stay. I don’t know if anyone can provide robust insights as to the following: a) The best city with the right balance of affordability-employment-Nigerian community. b) Can I drive with my Nigeria license pending the time I take the Canadian driving test? c) Regarding cars, I’ve been checking auto trader and Facebook marketplace, and I was surprised at how expensive cars are, even with very high mileage. What’s the advisable upper limit for mileage when purchasing cars (e.g. Mercedes Benz GLA or Jaguar F-pace)? Also, what are the red flags to look out for? d) While I know this is relative, please indulge me, where’s the best city to stay of the GTAs? All inputs are welcome. @salford1 @megastu @Homguy @ednut1 |

Why would you want to change it back to Naira? Address the reasons for refusal and reapply. adebenson155: Good day guys.
I got denied canada study visa in January.
I have just gotten back my 10,000 CAD tuition deposit and I don't wish to re apply until after one year
Will you advice I change the CAD to naira due to this fluctuation of naira and dollar, or I leave in CAD.
I am scared if I leave it in dollars in my account it might depreciate badly before the time I want to re apply.
I also need advice from people . I am an Auditor. Which country outside Africa can I migrate to with 10,000 USD. |

I have two comments. 1. where does the man work? It goes a long way aside the Florida/Orlando Beep. 2. VOS know now that men abandon their wives in Naija and do arrangee in yankee. Not 1, not 10 not even 20 post covid. It is going to be a tough call. If I were him I will leave US embassy to rest for now. Visit other countries and then you can apply again , traveling with your family, who have visas already/ OyoTunjiUSA: Hey 🤠
1. I got the hindsight .
2. I will liken your state to 2 ladies (twins) i knew who were married to American citizens . Non of them was granted tourist visa (they tried thrice) in order to visit their spouses until they yield to my advise and applied for spousal visas which ended their ordeal.
3. Just as you have reasoned (with my opinion). Wait till the next time your family are in the USA (perhaps during Xmas or any long holidays) and apply for a B2 visa to visit them. Indicate in your DS 160 your intention to visit your family and that you have the financial and travel experience capability to do so.
4. Another route i can vote for is business travel which can come in the form of conferences , seminars or short professional trainings .
Best Wishes 🙏 |

This is the attitude that made the country where it is today. Fela don talk am since. If not for the remaining people who still have a moral obligation (e.g the soldiers you see in this video) the country would have been completely run down. If you cant hail them why don't you keep mute. WhiteNRed: They should continue deceiving themselves. There was serious fire fighting and someone has the chance and freedom to do vidoes and snap pictures.

It was insult left, right and centre. so so sad. lulufaj: and how has the way it is done here made the country progress? How has it made Nigeria a good place for business? How has it made investors come to Nigeria. 2023 alone, do you know how many global brands have left Nigeria?
Young people complain everytime but support anti-business behaviour and yet blame the government for everything. Steve Varsano is an higlhly respected global business leader when it comes to Business Jets. If someone like that correct you, you take it and learn from it.
