owobokiri:Mention the names of the refineries and let’s go and verify. You rely on gossips and fake news and fake hopes. That’s why Kanu was able to manipulate you. Only a few of you who had and still has education did or are doing so in the west. Have you ever seen North f.ought the west politically? I repeat: this 2023 election o, Obi will lule and there’s nothing you can do about it. Even your Reverend Fathers cannot pray against it. |
owobokiri:Those countries don’t have refineries. How can you sell crude oil to countries that don’t have capacity to refine? Are you sure you are normal? I am never a politician and I don’t vote. If we choose to go tribalistic, I will serve you the hottest of it. Mind you, as your Obi has the right to contest, so also Tinubu does. So get that into your flat brain in that flat head. Ok? We saw how Obi turned Anambra to the best state in Nigeria in his 8-year (mis)rule. I assure you: his game will still cut in 2023. He won’t be president. That’s a known fact. You better start wailing from now or prepare yourself for the shock. There’s nothing all the entire Southeast can do to make Obi the president. That’s why none of your governors is following him around. The race is between Atiku and Tinubu. Please look for nearest hospital (now) that will admit you when you collapse in 2023 after the presidential election result is announced. North doesn’t forget or forgive. You easterners need the whole Nigeria to beg the North for the evil you did to them and to Nigerians. And you need to turn new leaves. Corrupt mofo from a corrupt region. |
coputa:May your years be longer. Nigerians forget easily. They keep shouting: VOTE WISELY. if you like, vote from now till the next century, nothing will change if we don’t change our ways. That’s why Obasanjo had the chance to start the correction but he didn’t. A lot of people on NL were born after 1995 when IBB and Abacha had left. They know nothing about what happened in the 80s. All the oil refining licenses issued by GEJ regime are still there. None of them built any refinery. Only Orient Oil did a few wobbling foundation blocks not of a refinery standard and he stopped. The license holders thought Jonathan would come for second term and he would give them take off grants. Others thought they would resell the license or do a joint venture. Now that they saw Dangote refinery taking shape, they started their …. BUA too has started it’s own. Let everybody who has oil refinery license go and build or forfeit it. Youths should hit the streets and start beating our representatives from counselors to senators. Go to ministries too and beat our uncles, in-laws, mentors, someone’s father, mother, friends etc who keep stealing from government and have out Nigeria in reverse. Let’s beat all governors out their offices and homes to a stupor and let’s set KPIs that we will both measure every year. |
owobokiri:Those tankers are for the oil cabals. Not NNPC. If it is from NNPC, it means it is legitimate. She has no right to stop it. It means we are selling it legitimately to those countries. We are not giving them for free. Why didn’t she say we should close down the NNPC filling stations we have in other west African countries because she sees them as illegal? I know the region where you come from. That’s how you talk on anything national. And you know you and your people are the chief smugglers and counterfeit lords. It will keep paining you till you leave this world. Keep scoring own goal. |
Kobonaire234:It shall be well with you. Just that this same sets of people will hit the streets to protest and be burning down public and private properties. This is a subsidy regime that started since 1979 and nobody cares to remove it 43 years after. Obasanjo was in the best position to start the removal, immediately Nigeria returned to civil rule, but he didn’t. If he had been removing 12.5% of it every year, he would have finished the removal at the end of his 8-year rule. He has the power and knows the North (who are the key beneficiaries from this subsidy) well and can lobby them and give them another thing in replacement for the subsidy but he didn’t. Buhari too has the influence to do but he doesn’t care. Only Nigerian presidents who have military and civilian backgrounds can get things easily from the North. |
Johnrake69:Government didn’t give Dangote any money/cash. Government’s investment (equity) of $2.whatever billion is in form of oil crude. Once the refinery is up and running, Dangote refinery will get this oil up to that amount in piecemeal. So as government is supplying him the oil, he would keep accounting for it in its records. If it doesn’t get up to that amount, it means government equity will stop at where the crude oil supply stops. For Niger-Delta poverty and underdevelopment, you and your ancestors are the architect of your problems. You see no problems in stealing and and being corrupt. So enjoy it while it lasts. You have been divided by your ‘rich’ people and no single past and present government in all ND, put together has performed at all. I see no reason why non of the ND states shouldn’t be as developed as common Botswana or Namibia. |
owobokiri:That’s why I said it’s smuggling. That’s not what they call legitimate supply. Are you that d.aft? If it is a legitimate supply, there’s nothing any custom officers can say on tv. Nigerians smuggle common eggs to those countries because the countries are pure desert. Nothing grows there. Common okirika clothes sell like water there. Things are expensive there. That’s why people prefer to smuggle our petroleum products there. I lived in the North for 2 years and I know a few things about the North and the surrounding countries. |
Agbegbaorogboye:Thanks jare my brother. I can go in to like your comments 100 times. Sebi Saudi Aramco offered to buy it later, GEJ too didn’t sell. We don’t need government hands in anything services and infrastructure in Nigeria because we are too corrupt. Privatize so many things and Nigeria will be good. OMV and Borealis have refineries side-by-side in Schwechat beside Vienna, Austria and the two function perfectly well. One is fully owned by the UAE government and the other is partly owned the same UAE government. In Austria o. They allow it to be run by private people. Go their and see tanker trains coming to evacuate fuel to the city every night and to neighboring countries. Nothing like subsidy in Austria; nothing like queue; all their filling stations are automated. No single fuel attendants; you just drive in, slot your card, press number of liters you want to buy and dispense, hang the nozzle and go. Nobody is adulterating fuel or attendants recalibrating pumps. Reverse is the case in Nigeria. That’s why I said everybody in that value chain is corrupt - not only our petroleum ministry and NNPC. |
owobokiri:That’s your own imagination. Nigeria is not supplying those countries. You could have said Nigerians are smuggling petrol to those countries. We ordinary Nigerians are part of the chaos in the petroleum sector value chain. Right from exploration to distribution. Everybody believes its parts of hustling. Na sone go dey go until all the refineries are fully privatized, NNPC dismantled, and subsidy fully removed. I only know Nigerians would be on the street to protest, immediately any of these is about to be implemented. Nigerians want to go to paradise but they don’t want to die before going there. |
Phantom233:Jonathan didn’t try anything. He only went there to build his empire, worship and pacify the North. Jonathan was as worthless as a local government councilor as Nigerian president. He was just running from pillar to post. The Nigerian oligarchy feeding fat on petrol subsidy and our refineries are monsters that 1million Jonathan can never tame. That’s why he joined them. He too has oil blocks and he is lifting fuel for export to refine. So look for another thing to say. |
Is such debate constitutionally mandatory? Any contestant can choose to attend or not attend, after all, there are other means of reaching out to electorates. May be Tinubu feels he is bigger than all those types of arrangements with Obi (that cannot beat common Fasoye or even Dino Melaye in any election) Even on his TVC, he hasn’t granted any interview. Same thing for Atiku. W expulsion See he sent Okowa. If we say Tinubu will commit blunders, do we expect Atiku too to commit blunders? |
wolesmile:Na Ipobic, Isrealio-descendants regional politics dem dey play. Dem go still chop am wotowoto in February 2023 then go and queue for another 8 years after which they can come and try their luck again. |
Switruth:Go and carry out the assignments you are given. Obi is a political b.igot. But mind you, I have no preferred presidential candidate among any of them. |
Switruth:Before flooding nko? Check his Twitter postings and analyze how many condolences he sent to an unknown family from all corners of Nigeria other than those in the public domain because of clout chasing, you will realize he did them for clout. How many people have died in your family that Obi went on Twitter to condole with your extended family? |
ganisucks:Is this a state or national disaster that he is trying to be on top? You are all d.aft and I dont think you can be cured. This is a personal matter but politicians know that's what you dunc.es want. That's why they are doing it for you. It doesn't make Obi/Tinubu/Atiku/Okowa etc a good person. |
Switruth:How many people who lost their families he don send condolences to in Anambra today? Una never talk wetin dey do you. |
Clout chasing. How many families will Okowa, Obi, and even Tinubu or other politicians send condolences to because they lost their families? You don't know how many people have died today that these yeye politicians (and their handlers) don't send condolences to. Just because the bereaved is a notable figure and politicians want the public to know they care so that they can win sympathy votes too, all of them are rushing to social media to send condolences awon weerey gbogbo. |
onuman:That's why for over 60 years Niger Delta still remains polluted and inside roforofo. Pele o stakeholder. Your position on Stakeholder Analysis/Matrix/mapping is what is called: LOW POWER, LOW INTEREST. So you can completely be ignored or minimum efforts can be expended on you. That's the strategy Nigerian government has been using to rule you. Your region will remain like that till this world stops existing. You better jump out. Go and see what Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain etc are using their oil and gas money for. Your demi gods like Ibori, Alamieyeseigha , Timipri, Silva etc have used your destiny and they will keep using it. Awon werey. Always looking for pipes to burst. Hundreds of you were killed at my backyard in Arepo some years back by Nigerian soldiers and they would keep killing you. Omo eleran to n je eegun. |
Obi has done the 10th Wonder of The World. He converted Nasarawa to a Country in Africa. Efulefu. He is always absent-minded. That's why he joins lies with lies whenever he misses some of what he has memorized to say. Product of 3rd-class Pass. |
SIMONEKPA7:Leave them. Dem go hear am. Na all those underage Nasarawa children go meet Ipob presido. Obi sef go dey feel ashamed within himself of the low level of organization and the turnout, including how immature the whole thing is. Na try your luck Obi dey do and im know. |
onuman:House dey burn, mad man dey dig gutter. What we are saying, what are you saying? I say dem go beat Obi/Yesufu blue-black you dey talk of oil revenue. You sure say your drug never finish? |
PDP and APC will beat Obi/Yesufu like aso-ofi at the coming election so tey the trauma will live with them for life. |
GoodLife4live:They are rented igbo crowds from Iyanya, Jabi, Area 4, and those satellite towns closer to Keffi. |
Okealaaye: . He goes by trekking. Awon werey. Dem wan use format take enter chair. |
Blessedmercy8:Say another thing! Tribal and religious bigot. I know where you are heading. You should have asked the FG to come and help you impregnate your wife since she she no fit get belle all this while because it has turned national emergency. You and your cohorts know the evil you perpetrate in your states. Many contracts awarded, with fund disbursed but work left undone. Many were stolen out rightly. Many shortcuts taken that led to nowhere. Mediocre works here and there. You impoverish your states right from when the colonial masters left you now you are crying wolves. Live with your corrupt civil service/politician and greedy private citizen's characters. Allow your governors and politicians to keep using you to pass all bulks to FG. Na you citizens go suffer most. |
Blessedmercy8:What have all state governors done to improve living standards of their people? You don't push everything to FG. Anything that is on EXCLUSIVE LIST (as stated by our constitution) is what you should blame the FG for if such thing is left undone or not done well. Is is the FG that would provide good roads and better drainage systems for all states? Or abi you want make FG dey build houses for every individual? Common public toilets, states don't build let alone recreational park. Their signature project is overhead bridge where there no need for one. Apart from state capitals where governors spend a dime from billions they get from federal allocation, which other towns or cities in every state do you see signs that their is government in such state? They loot their treasuries and leave debt or token for incoming governor and the incoming governor does the same thing for another incoming governor. So, don't expect funds meant for monetary policies (e.g. printing of new notes) to be spent on states. A country is not run like that. Stop thinking like a good Samaritan because you none and you are worst in your own little space. |
Give us statistics of the damage nah so that we can go and verify. Sebi the level of damage in 2022 far exceeds that of 2012? Statistician General of Biafla, give us comparative figures. Just dey monoyarn |
fkj950ax:They need private investors, otherwise, they will only use it to campaign and win elections. Without involvement of private sectors, no state or federal government is going to develop the country except if we are f00.ling our selves. Go and see rolling stocks of trains and sleepers trains across Europe which are owned by private companies. You will be shocked. |
TheExclusive:No matter how lofty Obi's ideas are, they can't fly. The cabals wont let it fly. Obi can only dismantle what he builds. He cannot dismantle that bad foundation Nieria is buiding on. Not even Tinubu can dismantle it. It is not a one-man show and he cant override anything done by the Houses. He would rather not sign it and they will maintain status quo. For Obansanjo and Jonathan to waste our time and money on confab showed Nigeria's power brokers don't want the country to grow than this. It is the masses (not only a few supporters of Obi o; everybody - like they did in 1993 for MKO Abiola.) that can effect the change. We need total change of all members of State and Federal Houses of Assemblies/ House of Senates. But there is not way we can overhaul the legislative without reconstructing our executive arms of government, the almighty civil servants! They are the major stumbling block to Nigeria's progress. What of the judiciary? Before we now think of you and I that are corrupt beyond all reasonable level? But where are the masses? They have been decimated by these cabals and the ruling class. They have been beaten by hunger, poverty and hopelessness. That's why they take sides on where they can feed or their tribes/religious men and women. I have never seen where Nigerian masses successfully recall a common ward councilor, let alone members of states and federal House of Assemblies. Where the Kogi masses able to recall Dino Melaye when they tried it? Because the constitution will make it tough to do. More so, who you are trying to recall will divide you the masses with his/her means. You can imagine how much the government would still have to spend conducting fresh election when a political office holder is recalled - from sensitization, to ballot printing, to logistics etc. Try and say you want to reform common Ministry of Chieftaincy (that's if it exists o), for example, and see the restriction you would meet as a president. It is complicated. Nigerians love to be lawless, free, and they expect magician leaders who would make the country great overnight without them suffering or being affected. We are not sincere to ourselves. We are 'tribalistic' in nature and too religious. We don't allow for things to be done on merit. We indulge in favoritism. We are deceptive. Everything bad is in us. The same people who are trying to vote Obi would be the first to castigate him when he starts failing in delivering on his promises. And I dont see him using angels to run all sectors of the company. Nigeria that has a journey of 500 years to go just to develop up to common Switzerland is seen strolling on development path like someone who is going from sitting room to bathroom. As a president of Nigeria, you cannot veto anything. Most of all you want to do must past through the two Houses and have to align with that rigid constitution. The key things that can liberate Nigeria and Nigerians are not amendable at all in that constitution. The rigors of amending any of it alone can take up to 15 years. You can ask any sound lawyer who knows about that constitution. Abacha and his goons made it tough in such a way that, to change the constitution, the deliberation time would consume 3 different tenures of legislators. It means those who start it cannot finish it. You cannot even discuss separation of Nigeria at all because the constitution has said it is a no go area and this can NEVER be amended by any means. Only few sections of it that wont majorly affect the core North are left for amendment. That's why you will see one leader or rep shouting before they get there that he will go in and do wonders. But once he or she gets there, he/she realizes it is deeper than it is thought and he/she then joins them in 'eating'. Long ago, I have given up on the country and I repeat it: it can never be better. May be the 'better' I am thinking of is different from the kind of 'better' you are thinking of sha. |
fkj950ax:People want to fly from airports where there is improved efficiency and state-of-the-heart facilities, no extortion etc. More so, travelers from Lagos alone cover more than 50% of travelers using MMA and bulk of these travelers who are FREQUENT travelers are from notable neighborhoods like, Ikoyi, Lekki and its environs, Eko, Surulere-Ojuelegba, Ikeja, Anthony/Gbagada/Magodo/Omole/Festac/Apapa/Akoka/Yaba. If Lagos is able to finish 4th Mainland Bridge and construct more access and inner roads within that axis, there would be less congestion on the road. They need private investors to invest in light electric trains and trams in that area, although it may be a bit expensive to construct due to the nature on the land in that area. They may need to raise the rails over the ground majorly in flood-prone and water-lodge areas. The investor must also have its own independent power source. It is good Lagos State Government includes rail roads for trains and trams in the design of its 4th Mainland Bridge to that Ikorodu and Epe can be linked up with easily. |
TheExclusive:Obi cannot even solve one problem; not all. He would only increase minimum wage and award a few contracts which would not be executed. Which experience does have to tame our corrupt civil service? What of our dead electricity sector? Who does he know he can lobby across Nigeria and among the cabals that hold Nigeria by the jugular to leave Nigeria's jugular? Go to Angwai-Rimi in Kaduna alone and go and see power brokers who are parts of who decide where Nigeria goes. Go to Kano, Zamfara, Kebbi, Jigawa, Katsina, Niger, Borno, Yobe, Abuja etc and find out powerful past and present politicians who Obi cannot dare look directly in the face. Obi? Who's Obi where late Maitama Sule was? Who does Obi know in any of those powerful states to run to if he wants to implement anything that affects the Hausa/Fulani hegemony? Where is the House majority that would give him the support? How many labor party governorship candidates have the chances of being elected? I have watched most of his interviews. He was just blabbing. Those interviews were for people like you who cannot distinguish their left hands from their right hands. He was just spewing rub.ish that defy economic sense. The data he is giving lack integrity. Only Igbos and few Yoruba religious bigots can be fo_oled. Not me. I last voted in 1993. That was the last time I trusted Nigeria's electoral process. I don't know where you were in 1979 during Shagari/Awolowo saga because we have been hearing all Obi was saying since then. |
TheExclusive:Your comment has shown how hollow your sense of reasoning is. So for someone to become a chairman of a company, he doesn’t need work experience to perform better. See how you rope yourself. No wonder he was attending one-one week online courses just to brush up his Alaba mentality. Sebi you saw how he was able to think strategically for Fidelity Bank to be among the top 10 banks during his tenure and now? And he was able to think strategically for other companies he chaired like Chams to become a unicorn like Flutterwave and co who came lately. We can, as well, see that the insurance company he chaired is now ahead of Mutual Benefits, Lasaco, NEMS, AIICO, Old Mutual, Leadway etc. The ketchup company he led has downsized and ran to Dubai after it was bought by Fareast Merchantile. Go and find out. We can also see how he led, strategically, in Anambra for 8 years and the state is now developed like common Seychelles and Botswana. Eyin weere gbogbo ti hypocrisy ti fo lori. Tell me you feel it’s time for Igbo to rule Nigeria because they have never ruled in this democratic dispensation and I will understand your argument. But don’t tell me that Obi has the antidote to cure Nigeria of corruption, mediocrities, nepotism, favoritism, tribalism, and other economic woe that are incurable. As a drunkard, Obiano will perform better in Aso Rock than your Obioma (shoulder tailor) you are parading as a president material. He is just being packaged to look like one. He is none. It’s only the frustrated youths that are at the forefront of the packaging. Till tomorrow, none of the 3 foremost candidates can lead Nigeria out of the mes.s the country is. It will take concerted efforts of every Nigerians to get out of the mess. Come over to Europe and see things for yourself. So stop thinking Obi is the Joker card. |
