Indifferent12:Olodo ni e. In the first instance, who told you Dangote is buying fuel in Dollar from NNPC and others? So all those companies in Lagos Free Trade Zone export their products abroad? They sell none to Nigeria and they sell in foreign currencies? Ask the most knowledgeable person in your city and less see if he or she can help you out. Free trade zone is not solely set up for export. It’s set up to encourage establishment of industries, exportation, and majorly to eliminate certain trade barriers ( like tariffs, taxes etc) being meted on companies outside the free trade zone. So it’s like an incentive to organizations and companies to come and do what government cannot do. I don’t blame you sha. It’s internet, faceless forum like this and data that allow people like you to dey yarn okpata. No wonder! You better go and help him sell to Nigerians in Dollars. Omo iran ki’ran. |
Urgent1Million:Chief Assumption Officer - Dangote Refineries Ltd. See how you wrote as if you have insider info about Dangote’s pricing template. Gibberish. That’s your wish. Businesses don’t run that way. Babyish assumption.
|
coleon:Not all Dangote’s loan is denominated in foreign currencies. And not the whole $20billion investment in the refinery is on loan. The valuation was just done in $$ for economic purposes and for comparison sake. Dangote would gain more when repaying his loan due to improved Naira. Don’t forget that he won’t pay with Aboki rate. Assuming he borrowed when one USD was selling, officially, at N750 and he is paying when one USD is selling, officially, at N600 has he not gained? Once his refinery is able to help strengthen Naira, he will always be a gainer because he would need less Naira to be converted to foreign currencies to repay any of his loans denominated in foreign currencies. A lot of people here just love forming/turning to overnight economists once they hear about Dangote and his refinery. They would start propounding economic theories being used in the land of rising sun because of the 8red they have for that Northern guy called Aliko. And they like regurgitating and repacking the same theories being used in their 2 by 4 shops. Come and hear what they say all over obodo oyibo. So bitter. Once they enter any Nigerian shop or gathering like this, especially their 3ibal shops or gathering, na Tulumbu and Dangote be their topic. They love to see things fail for those two men. Instead for us to be happy that someone is trying to help us revive our economy and reduce inflation. |
Indifferent12:Are the Nigerian oil marketers that would be buying from Dangote based outside Nigeria? Please justify why they would buy in foreign currencies. Do we spend another currency other than Naira? Do you know what they call Free Trade Zone at all? May be it’s because Lagos’s Free Trade Zone is situated close to the ocean. That’s why you think every trade zone must export or sell in foreign currency. You better go back to JSS 1 and start schooling again. So if Kogi State or Plateau state could have free trade zone now with many manufacturing companies there, does it mean that anything produced there has to be sold in foreign currencies? Go and find out the meaning of free trade zone e and the reasons why governments set them up. |
ivolt:Dangote doesn’t buy solely from FG. He buys from other oil companies and they sell to him in Naira since they are all based in NIgerDelta. With increase in government’s crude oil production, FG can sell internationally, make $$$$$, and also sell to Dangote and make Naira. The refinery would, significantly, help strengthen Naira because as FG was making Dollar before, so it was dishing it out to importers and that would stop. I am sure before the end of 2025, Nigeria’s oil production would reach 1.8million bpd, at least. |
matify83:May you live longer. It’s just a waste of money. Must we plate SHUKU on every building? Let heavy cyclone hit it. It will cart it way. It can even make the building to get weaker and age quickly, because of the heavy load the building is carrying and especially because of those bricks that are not strong. Na copy and paste dey worry our people jare. I better pass my neighbor. |
Are you sure you are dealing with a real company or some sets of fr.audsters? |
freedomtours:I don’t know why those ministries can’t have a central secured database where all polytechnic, unis, NCEs and other tertiary will always deposit students’ transcripts and build a website where students can apply for this and pay online and the ministry gets the transcripts sent to the appropriate authorities either in soft or hard copies. They would only need to agree on % of sharing the revenue from this application and the concerned institution and the ministry gets credited, automatically and instantly, with their own portion of the cash. With this, MoE will find it easy to verify this document because they can also probe it from their database upon payment. By the way guys, I just wrote a short mail to Austrian embassy, on behalf of applicants for residence permit process, on the need to have separate portal for those verifying and those legalizing. I have my reason to the best of my ability but I would suggest if students can be coordinated on this and send more dignifying mails to the embassy on the same matter. Better still, students may approach MoE and MoFA on this for the two ministries to appeal to the embassy on this because those verifying tend to me more than those legalizing. I assume the embassy has canceled legalization requests by applicants by way of sending emails, as it was being done in the past. That was what warranted the mail I sent to the embassy. If the embassy still gives legalization dates my emails but not my online appointment as portrayed on its current appointment portal system, it means my letter was needless. I wish all applicants all the best. |
First of all, start counseling her and show her evidences of those affected by her habit. There are lots of YouTube and documentary videos to show to her. If you have cable tv at home, always tune-in to those channels where obese people go through surgeries and various health exercises to have their life back. If she doesn’t yield, wake up one night around 1:30am and start crying. When she comes to ask you what happened, don’t tell her. Let her call everybody on you. Increase the intensity of your cry while they are praying or speaking in tongues. When it is about 3::30am, tell her either in a simple language that she should stop consuming those things and promise you she would stop forever or tell her that you had a dream she died of heart attack due to consumption of those junks and she was being buried. Chose the most weighty reason. It may be different from those I just gave. |
lextube:You could be right. Adecco just stopped it. But let me give you are trick to getting there job. If you are closer to graduating and you are able to convince them, Adecco will wait for you once you show your renewed residence card (job-search). |
alfredilly:The only way they could fight those lowly-rated brand is to create a lowly-rated brand that can be used to fight all those Kasmo soap and co. See what DSTv did to Star Times by creating GoTv just to fight StartTimes. DSTv just took out most of its Free-to-Air channels and added a few C-list channels from DSTv and configured it GoTv decoder and boom! DSTv made sure it out sports channels that would attract Nigerian youths and sports bet lovers. A lot of multinational companies don’t have Business Planners in their team but they have Business Analysts. Those that recruited people as Business Planners don’t allow such staff to function as planners but as analysts and they don’t know. Studying Strategic Clock (Matix) could have helped Unilever to identify where Omo and Lux are and also identify where all those Kasmo soaps are on Strategic Clock. Instead of using Strategic Clock most companies end up using SWOT and this analysis has mostly been used in wrong situations. You only use SWOT before you lunch (that’s at planning stage). Unilever should have downgraded Omo and Lux to the region where all those lowly-rated brands are and spend less on ads campaign. Where those lowly-rated brands are is called. No Frills, No grills. They don’t have any special value to add than to give foamy effect for you to bath and go out. No special ako protection agents as being found in brands like Lux. We still can’t blame Unilever because those Market Leaders sitting at regional hubs and at headquarters see the numbers everyday and have concluded it ain’t worth the headache. That’s why the decision was made. Unilever Nigeria has nothing to do than to obey the last command. Selling the brands to other interested buyer would have been considered through but since the brand is still doing well in other markets, Inilever could have felt it ain’t going to be a better business decision to divest from the brands worldwide and sell them outrightly. I am sure their CFO has to report this as part of its Discontinued Operations, when releasing its next financial statement, in line with IFRS 5. |
atiku4President:It’s not a matter of harsh economy. Those brands have already reached their decline stage on product life cycle. They ought to have ‘di.ed’ since but Unilever Nigeria kept rebranding them. No thanks to Malaysian and Indonesian caustic soda soaps sha and the Indian and Lebanese cheap detergents. Lowly-rated brands are cheap and Nigerians are poor. Since these low brands don’t need much in ads and campaign budgets, they are able to give Omo and Lux a run for their life because those ones needed huge budget to run their marketing campaigns. In this region, until standard of living improves, old brands will always struggle to remain longer than usual. Watch out for the d.eath of Premier soap too and Imperial Leather from PZ. |
saydfact:I don’t say anything is wrong, bro. You have buttressed my point. Lots of people don’t know it’s not strong because they don’t see what’s inside. So then end up using it at wrong places. Mod you live in towns and cities where crime rate is tend to be higher, these types of doors are not even suitable as inner doors, let alone entrance doors. Come to think of it, you will only find this type of doors in poverty-stricken counties. |
BennyDGreat:Government didn’t fail. We are the ones that failed the government. We are the government. We only have a few people to represent us as leaders. We are saboteurs. We are greedy. We are selfish. We are impatient. We don’t love our country. We are not ready to sacrifice. Check your heart well. How many good deeds have you done today towards your country and your fellow human beings? Any country where you see things work, it is not the ‘government’ you are talking about that made it ok. It’s the citizen that resolved to make things work. Along Okokomaiko or anywhere around Nigeria where, for instance, container-laden truck falls on a fellow citizen, instead of fellow standbys and passerby to help, they would bring out there phones and be recording and shouting ‘ IT IS HAPPENING LIFE NOW ALONG OKOKO…. HELP US SHARE AND LIKE … If the injured is lucky to get to hospital, fellow bad citizens would insist on getting some deposits before their fellow citizens could be attended to. Come over here and see where a common rabbit is crossing the road. All vehicles will wait until it has successfully entered bush. We’re those people instructed by government to have good deeds? We have people who have passed through some areas today and saw some dangerous things that could injure other road users. What effort have they made to inform passerby or try to remove that danger? If you do 15 goods in a day and I do 15 goods in a day and everybody does 15 goods everyday without doing any bad, give us 10 years and Nigeria would be like paradise. |
All those TransferGo, TransferWise (Wise) etc are responsible. The dollar didn’t come. Government should ban them. Only companies like Moneygram, Western Union, Ria etc really remit dollars to Nigeria. Greed too is k..1lling our people. They want to get money at black market rate and they are complaining Nigerian Naira is not better. Eating your cake and still trying to have it. |
lilytender:Yes. They can privatize CBN. American Federal Reserves (American’s CBN) is a public-private company, being run solely by private individuals. Check ‘CBN’ of Switzerland too. It’s a private company. They are more effective than government-run CBN. No nepotism. No corrupt officials. No parapoisim, paddy-paddy, man-knows-man. It is in our bank that you will see someone who read Forestry or Literature working as bank staff. I can’t lay my hands on the most up-to-date source of that of the US and I didn’t want to give you what looks like outdated proof. You can read more about it. But check that of Switzerland here: https://www.snb.ch/en/services-events/digital-services/faq-overview/qas/qas_unternehmen#t03

After closure of portal, serious lobbying would start. All sorts of lists would be flying around. Sulu Gambari list. Saraki family list. league of Imam list. Kwara CAN list. Governors list. Olofa list SSG list. Speaker’s and House of Assembly members’ list. Idiagbon family’s list APC Kwara chapter’s list. NULGE list Tapa list. The list is endless, after which supplementary list will come out. Common man’s children would now be left out. |
janda1:Ok. Will try and get back to you soon |
Joboffer24:Looks like the current hybrid work you are doing has turned you to a lazy man. Take the new job first since you can still survive on what is to be paid. Don’t forget your current job is expiring. While on the new job, start searching for another one. To work in audit firm may not be easy if you are above a certain age but it is still possible. Go for the low-hanging fruits first by searching for jobs in firms like Grant Thornton, PKF, BDO, Pedabo etc. Be checking myjobmag.com at least 4 times in a day for auditing and accounting jobs. Make sure you send out minimum of 10 job applications in a week. Do not forward already sent email in any new application. Always make sure you send fresh email on every new job you apply for. You can adjust your cv to suit a particular application and make sure you save a copy of that CV in a secure place or you can blind-copy yourself in every job application, to be able to have a copy of any modified CV you could have used. Update your LinkedIn profile and add a lot of HR personnel to your network. This will help you know when they post jobs or looking for referrals. Also, they will be checking your profile, mostly, in stealth mode, whenever they need candidate to fill a particular role. Make sure you pass your ICAN on time because lots of big audit firms prefer to hire brilliant chartered accountants. All the best, bro. |
Opè o. Oyo State don get emergency number o. I hope the number goes always and somebody responsible for the line is able to help when called. One line is not enough. Seyi, with your level of exposure, you are under performing. There should be different line for Ambulance Fire emergencies Police These lines don’t cost a leg and a arm. Can all our other states too have, especially our. Or there states where there are insurgences? This will help the people to quickly reach out to security agencies when there’s need. Abeg our governors and security ogas; no use this to dey pack money o. |
janda1:A better part-time warehouse job can pay you like €1600 net or more but be ready to work like a machine and be ready to have low grades in your studies. That’s why I said it’s your spending pattern, back in Nigeria especially, that would not make €850 to be enough for you. For your sustenance, I repeat: 850 Euro is not bad. So drop all commitments that are not necessary back home. Rise first before you start pulling others. Tell them to be patient with you. I may not see your DM. I don’t know what’s happening to my NL and my email. They don’t synchronize well. More so, a lot of people are trying to h.ack me these days. Even someone attempted to takeover one of my social media accounts from Abuja this early morning. Same thing on my emails and WhatsApp. You can drop your number here or an email address. |
Write this down: the moment an accountant doesn’t start his or her career from a reputable multinational company or any of the Big 4 audit firms, such accountant shouldn’t stay more than 3 years, max in any local company. Otherwise, the accountant is on a looooonnnnnng thing. Those stea1ing in a company would still stay I. Such companies sha and weather all the insults and abuses. Brotherly, jé kí awó lo. |
janda1:As a student, you are not allowed (officially) to work more than 20 hrs. Where you are lucky, your employers can allow you to work overtime, at times. After your graduation and even if you haven’t gotten to job-search visa, your employer may apply for up to 32 hours per week for you and it’s usually granted. I am sorry to say this: 20 hrs can pay bills. Just learn how to live within your means. If you get a job of € 850 (net) like in fast food restaurants, and your monthly accommodation is not more than €400, your monthly transport card (buy 1-year pass) is €33, your internet is €10 max because you will always have access to WiFi at home, what’s next is for your upkeep for the month which shouldn’t be more than €150-200 Euro. I assume your employer will pay for your insurance monthly. You can conveniently save €200 except if you have debts that you are paying back home or you have other areas you are spending on. 😜😜 you and I know. For extra work, people do it in an under-arm way but I don’t advise it because if you are caught, you would pay heavily for it. More so, it would affect your studies. You can utilize your holiday period to work full-time and still make some bucks. You could also be lucky go get jobs that would pay you €1k to €1.2k net in a month. Check Adecco. They recruit for Amazon but be ready to work even though they well above €12 per hour. Check at Der Mann Bakery, Anker, Billa, BIPA, Enny etc. One tip I will give you is that the companies that pay well are usually far from the cities. If you can be commuting long distance, lots of companies are waiting to may more, even up to 1.4k net per month. It would be advantageous for you if you can drive and you have converted your Nigerian driver’s license to that of Austria. You can get a small vehicle and be using it to move to the outskirt of the city where lots of companies are there looking for people to work. Pay per hour is not static. Some companies can pay than others but expect from €8 to €15 per hour. Check clevylinks.com. They are taking applicants on full and part time basis. They are just building their warehouse in 21st District in Vienna. They are from China. Be ready to work and be on your feet for longer hours in a colder warehouse. Check fiveguys restaurant’s website. They accept application on a daily basis. They are like McDonald’s. There are lots of them out there. If you can’t work full time at your company during summer holidays, look for event companies during that period. A lot of them have plenty jobs because there are concerts everywhere and you would make money and travel round Austria and beyond with the company. |
Souzin:There are lots of hostels for students in Vienna. I have sent some to people in the past. I would try and search and share them here. I do not promise o but I would try and search again. Someone can tag me later in case I am not responding on time. |
Maybbe Shell will use the proceed to build filling stations across Nigeria, now that Dangote refinery is up and running. 😜😜 Any country where you can’t find, at least, 3 of these filling stations, my brother and sister don’t go there to stay for long. Only use such country to quickly step up to another country or else one would su.ffer or be forced to do illegal things to survive. The filling stations are: Shell. Mobil BP ChevronTexaco. Aral. And any country you see them using keke NAPEP (Marwa) as part of their mainstream means of transportation, my brother run o. |
Godwin Obaseki pro max. Nothing dey Shuaibu head. He just wan go l00t and put his name in that register that he ruled Edo State. Edo State has everything to be a fine and better state but from Lucky Igbinedion, na soso misrule. It’s only Oshiomole that tried like 10%. I miss Edo State o. |
oluking:Mod wants people to argue over it or may be there is no suitable headline to move to fp since morning under that category being supervised by the moderator. |
N500m too small. E suppose be N2billion make glo con negotiate am to N1.5billion 😁. From 2013 fa! Legal fees alone don chop 1/3 of the fine before the guy go settle other bills and relocate his family from where he is, what of income the guy would have lost over that 10 years the case has been in court, the inconveniences etc. I know say glo go appeal for Supreme Court. Na money the guy go still spend. Make Supreme Court bill glo wella o. Like N5b. |
Dem don steal Nigeria bend. Are those people sponsoring them ghosts? They have never been named. |
saintopus:. GEJ didn’t have the balls to remove subsidy. That’s why it was not removed. It’s not protest that stopped him from removing it. If anybody had protested that subsidy shouldn’t be removed by Tinubu, he would still have removed it. The president has the power to veto subsidy removal. Why GEJ was paying lip service to subsidy removal was that: he was eyeing second (abi third) term of being president of your country and he was worshiping the Northern oligarchy because they put him there with the help of Obasanjo. Don’t forget that those that benefited most from subsidy ers are from the North. GEJ wanted northern endorsement and the northern votes, forgetting that he had signed a confidential agreement where he stated that he won’t serve more than one-term after the death of Ya’r Adua. Why didn’t he implement the CONFAB report too? That’s the committee he set up by himself o. Were people protesting too that he shouldn’t implement the report? That’s to tell you that he only used the confab to buy time, distract people, buy people by paying them heavily for coming from all parts of Nigeria to sit and eat bouvet 4 times everyday and sleeep and snore and still go home with plenty cash after the confab. Obasanjo did the same thing. All the reports are there gathering dust. There are some powerful people who have political and business interests across Nigeria. They dictate the tune of things to this country. They are present in states and local governments as well. Pray that we have representatives that will come and step on toes of those people. In conclusion, GEJ was just a dummy president, though he was allowed to make his own money too. |
beevalley:It’s per page because they will put sticker at the back of every page to show it is a legal document. It means it can be accepted or tendered as evidence in court of law and it has become admissible by Austrian government to be used to process your RP or for any other thing. Any document that does not have the sticker at the back is not a legal doc because people can be fraudulent and attach extra document which the embassy didn’t legalize (by putting sticker) and then add it to the ones the embassy has legalized. |
It’s good the Mod of this thread deletes all comments that are talking about WhatsApp group for Austrian study visa here. Creating WhatsApp group outside this thread does not allow up to date info and experience sharing. They have taken more than half of the info to their private discussions, which looks being selfish. Let everybody be here and rub minds together and co-learn. It would even be more fun and interesting. A lot of people who have benefited from this thread too and are in Austria or have moved on to another country can be coming here to share some tips for those that are coming. That’s how we can grow. All I have been lucky to meet from here can bear me witness, I don’t charge them kobo for any info or any assistance and I do it to the best of my ability. Please let’s be our brother’s keepers. That’s what they did to Estonian study thread and they run it moribund. |
