well in my own case, i maximise d 2 packages; i am on xtra connect while my call partner is on xtra cool

so if we wish 2 make nite calls, she calls me. on the other hand, i call her thru my FAF package whenevr we wish 2 talk during d day

yeah, i agree. i culd b frustratin. in my own case, while i was datin my luv, i saw her only once in a mth. initially there was no luxury of gsm, later wit gsm there wer no free calls at nite. funny though we'v now been married for over 5 yrs & we still see averagely ONCE A MTH. fortunately though, we get either holidays or sum special cases were we actually get 2 live 2gether as a couple for a few wks or days.

long & short, u could jump into marrying d person to bridge d long distance thingy. its d surest way, even though marriage doesnt alwys bring d person home completely

pls read my statement carefully, i wasnt referring 2 only d leader, i said evryone shuld hav a day in court. y shuld a man that has already surrendered or is unarmed b killed. that is totally wrong. so a man whatever his status or stature shuld not b killed without due process

well as for me, i believe u cant stop pple frm expressin their views of whether they ar happy or sad of Mohammed yusuf's death. but the direction of discussion we shuld look at is the issue of an extra judicial killing.

i was SHOCKED yesterday when the minister of information appeared on CNN and was saying that "the way the man died wasnt improtant , but the fact that he is dead" she even went further to say "the security agencies should be commended".

so what has happened to all her REBRANDING nigeria campaign.

atleast, we should exercise patience whatever a man has done, he should be given a day in court. afterall, US troops did not decide to execute SADAM HUSSEIN when he was caught, morever 2day wit all the charges against CHARLES TAYLOR & other war criminals, we see dem facin charges in court. the duty of d security forces is to ensure minimum casualty in whatever situation they are tryin 2 control.

so the point is not WHO was killed as a person, but WHY a human being shuld b killed witout trial. 2day it may b d leader of a sect, but who knows how many other petty criminals hav been killed, either to protect a certain interest or ,

this has been d un4tunate trend in dis country, killin pple in custody mysteriously & no explanatn is rendered. or who can explain d reason y ppl like yaradua (snr) or abiola just died while in custody. if whoever is in charge of d security of another man, lets such a man 2 lose his life & is prosecuted or much noise is made about it, pple wouldnt be ordering such actions. so we shuld rally round against this age long menace in Nigeria

i hav concluded a long tym ago dat women survive on shopping, competition & Gossip!

d issue is not whether we hav bcum a laughin stock, d issue is dat he asked 4 an advice whic we ar more than willing 2 giv. what he does wit it therafter is non of our business. we bliev dat guidance is not frm us but frm God. so we cant force any1 2 accept

meanwhile, in our FAITH we hav been informd dat sum past generatns hav been destroyd because they refused to prevent others frm acts of wrongdoing

interestin thread. interesting 2 note sum of d intelligent posts. for eg. d soldiers could still hav their say at d court of appeal & d fact dat there could b more appropriate ways 4 d soldiers 2 hav channeld their grievances. it seems we keep learnin evryday!

@poster, i hav noticed d poster has not posted in a while, though i blieve we hav grately deviated frm our discussion in dis thread. notwithstandin, my contributn is dat ur job describtn constitutes GAMBLING

reason been dat, GAMBLIN in islam culd also b defined by different ppl gatherin money then 1 person or a grp of ppl takin/earnin d money based on CHANCE. hence, d contribution frm various ppl is comin frm d txt msgs sent, because these txt msgs usually constitute d capital or money 2 b gambld. for eg. a txt may cost N100, part goes 2 d n/wk career, part 2 d organisers 2 giv out 2 ur winners. my sincere advice here is 2 desist frm dis SO CALLED game. d gamblin prohibitn is in Sura Maida V 90

guys, i keep gettin dis 16xx error messages wit itunes 8.2, wen tryin 2 restore frm 2.2 to 3.0, i'v even tried to restore bak to 2.2 i stil keep gettin d errors. now i'm almost at wits end wit my fone permanently in recovery mode.

i even tried DFU mode & nothin, no show. d thing is dat i know d 2.2 OS i hav is gud since i used it 2 restore frm 1.x in d 1st place, anyway i'm short of ideas pls help!

i seem to hav bricked my fone sum how, i hav d original ifone but it s runnin 2.2 software. now i wish to update to 3.0, but i keep gettin error 1601, 1604 bla bla!
culd it be dat i downloaded d wrong OS. its iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.
i'm also runnin itunes 8.2, i even tried d process on xp, thinkin d prob was vista.

any ideas guys?

pls do u need 2b in DFU mode b4 u can update to 3.0, or not? i noticed d update to 2.2 required i was in DFU

ok, thanx. its true i hav other download managers installed. i'll try dat later cos right now i hav gone like 40+% already downloadin OS3.0,
as for d edge icon, it was d same 'E' icon i used 2 receiv wen using 1.x.x, so do u think they'll switch d edge icon just for 2.x firmwares? anyway dat doesnt really matter, will do all u adviced. thanx

P.S; sumthin i noticed wit dat blue/white circle icon. wen i dial a number it disappears til afta d call, is dat d same for d edge E icon? just a thot sha

i updated to 2.2.1 frm 1.x abt 2 wks ago. but i just realised dat for d past 3days my ifone has not really been detectin wifi n/wks even though my laptop has. and after i completed d jailbrk & unlock, i knew i culd stil use my wifi.

sumthin i noticed though since afta d update (which wasnt displayin b4) is a "small round blue/white" icon beside my carrier n/wk (glo) & i dont know wat dat is.
so pls any idea wat went wrong wit my wifi? thanx guys

@ex, i know dis may not b d right forum, but i remember in one of ur earlier posts u mentioned sumthin abt d use of orbitdownloader. i installed orbit yesterday tryin 2 initiate my 3.0 OS download & i noticed anytym i switch off my sys, it looses memory of all it has downloaded previously, even though i ha checked automtic resume. any ideas?

as at last 2 wks wen i did it, i was a happy man. but now wit all dis commotion on os3.0, i suddenly realize i'm behind again. phew!

i am using an iphone 1.x, & i really need 2 upgrade 2 d 2.x. pls, culd u assist me 2 do dis (as in physically), my prob is iv seen d whole procedure but downloading d software i need is really very taskin almost impossible for me. i dont really know where u are residing, though i enter lagos once in a while. alternatively, if u can help me or willin 2 talk, i'l just get across 2u (or drop my number), thanx a million! u'v really been helpful since ur last reply 2 me. it actually made me realise i'v not been utilising d fone.
