PoliticsRe: Sharia Coming To S.W. by mensdept: 5:45am On Mar 27, 2011
edoyad:
A reasonable section of the populace are clamourini for sharia implementation and that simply cannot be ignored by the govt. This is not different from how a reasonable section are clamouring for resource control, these things have to addressed now.
So a "reasonable section" is clamouring. I'm sure they are bandwagon market square folks, of course those who are illiterate, beggers, and troublemakers

And what does Sharia implementation do? How does that enable us to produce quality films, highways, better hospitals with high tech machinery? How does this change our country from a backwards country (seeking to implement a backwards idea from the BC era) into a place better than the Arab region of Dubai?

The Saudis have a developed country, the Turks, the Moroccans, and it wasnt "sharia" law that did it. It was common sense. If you need to build a road from point a to b, build it. Dont embezzle funds meant for it, and then try to copy the clothings and religion of foreigners, while on foreign airlines heading to developed foreign countries.
PoliticsRe: Sharia Coming To S.W. by mensdept: 5:40am On Mar 27, 2011
While Original Islamic areas like Dubai and Turkey are developing, building great infrastructure for their children's children, Blacks in Nigeria are trippin about Sharia this and that. That's why Ghaadafi, North Africans, and the Saudis think una be monkey.
PoliticsRe: Old Buhari Versus New Buhari by mensdept: 5:33am On Mar 27, 2011

But YOU are a religious bigot and a tribalist yourself. So what makes your opinion worth anything in this?  This is like listening to a BITTER OLD MAN describe his neighbors in his retirement center as bitter and old ! Who takes any thing he says seriously? You almost wonder if senility is not a part of his many issues.
Well this "old man" is having his post read by you "the little embryo man who's brain hasnt fully developed".

Thank goodness this thread isnt about me, nor folks like you. Its about moving Naija forward and ridding ourselves of the general Naija complacent attitude, religious bigots like BUHARI, elitist members of the Old Order, doomsday prophets, and folks who cant decide how and when to feed themselves

Dayum grin

Bros. Don't you know some people's internet connections are just for downloading and watching Nigerian movies and large amounts of pr0n.

In Nigeria as well, some people's Blackberries are just for chatting on BB Messenger. Not hard to find people who will tell you they don't know about this person or that person when a simple search on their phones can yield so many results.
LOL, watching 9ja movies and por.n lol.

As for the post, Cant argue. Its 100% true.
PoliticsRe: I Love Gej, But I Dnt Like Pdp by mensdept: 6:45am On Mar 25, 2011
^^^^At least you have been reading my post. Hurray

Yes, I would label Buhari a religious bigot, Abacha a tribalist, and almost everyone supporting folks like them, that (or the other reason-Romanticized image of Buhari- the Great Warrior General from 19 credeame).

Yet I dont blame Naija people. You guys dont give yourselves real choices, and continue to stay in the box. After OBJ came, yes OBJ, now people are saying Buhari. The next thing is Gowon, then back to Buhari again for maybe 2019 election, and the same old.

Look at the state level, is it not Chikwe that's running again for Senate, and Abacha Jr. in Kano?

Its been institutionalized to not think, to not be serious.
PoliticsRe: Do Non - Northerners Support Buhari? by mensdept: 6:36am On Mar 25, 2011
9ijaMan:
Was Buhari part of the 12 years of PDP rot? Nigeria has at best remained stagnant in the last 12 years of PSP misrule, so what has Buhari got to do with Nigeria not moving forward in the last 12 years. Apparently your ego is boosted by simply taking a jab at Buhari. No qualms, you can continue to wallow in your illusions.
Ooooh. I see. We need military rule. Democracy has not done anything for Nigeria, whether you be Fashola, Chime, or Duke. Forget that Nigeria in the last 12 years has at least stabilized its economy, reduced coups and counter coups, professionalized it military, developed some of their states with good leadership, received a large amount of the loot politicians had embezzled, sacked corrupt ministers and assembly leaders, and has in part reduced the out of control armed robbery that was popular during Abacha's time.

No I'm actually not taking a jab at Buhari, because Buhari has far more better things to do than worry about Nairalanders. See, the world, especially the Muslim world, is doing 1 of 2 things. Ridding their selves of recycled leaders from the past and present or developing their land with the limited resources they have ( aka DUBAI). But in Naija, we can't seem to escape thinking like children and cowards, and showing the world that we are still from a Nigga Area.

Yes, it that what you want to continue on with Mr. Retrace your steps?

You could still have made your point without resorting to religious bigotry. How many churches were burnt or locked down during Buhari's regime? How many christians were denied their right of religious association/affiliation?
I also cannot recall Buhari speaking in Arabic during his inaugural speech when he took over in 1983. So where is this your unfounded hatred for "islamic coupist" labeling of Buhari coming from?

My advice for you would be to always engage in discussion like an intellectual that you seem to be, instead of engaging in bear palour rumour mongering.
Did I hurt your feelings? If so then deal with it. Dont expect sugar coating of the obvious

Let me repeat that silly greedy ISLAMIC coupist ( from Buhari to IBB to ABACHA) were and are still part of the problem. They dont have to speak ARABIC for inaugural address lol. See, you are thinking local, and engaging in petty theft. Now these men were big time thieves and politicians. Smuggling the nation and pretending that the nation is Arab (OIC), making sure that government positions are given based on religion and ethnicity (11 of the 18 members of the then 1983 illegal REGIME were Northern/Muslim), looting the treasury and promoting Sharia, and systematically destroying the nation, uh, I know, its too much reading eh?

Bros you get ear, eye or brain problem. Ok, try this one.

"For Nigerians who will be voting for the Peoples Democratic Party my prayer is, may all your lives be run the way the PDP has been running Nigeria in the past 12 to 13 years, Amen!!!!"
Chei, Local boy. "My prayer is may all your lives, " sounds like one of those doomsday prophets in Oshodi.

Your solution is simple, vote Buhari. My response equally simple- Buhari is from, for, and of the last century. And you wonder why the country cant move forward.
PoliticsRe: North, South-east Leaders Reject Jonathan by mensdept: 6:01am On Mar 25, 2011
^^^^^^ Well of course those that are supporting Buhari are doing it out of ETHNIC/ISLAMIC BIGOTRY, or the romanticized view of Buhari- The Major General

Yet, the only thing that made sense in the latest Buhari episode is that he ignored the SE. I mean, where was that gonna take him. Is it Theo Orji that he would have made as his VP?
PoliticsRe: Goodluck Jonathan's Secrets by mensdept: 5:55am On Mar 25, 2011
The fact that you put Buhari and Abdulsalami Abubukar on the same level as a true freedom fighter (NELSON MANDELA) shows that you arent serious, and in short, an EJOT!!!

Nonsense
PoliticsRe: Do Non - Northerners Support Buhari? by mensdept: 5:51am On Mar 25, 2011
9ijaMan:
It's simple, in case you failed to understand. Here's another example.
If you fail in your first sitting for JAMB or WAEC (and now NECO) exams, you need will surely need to go through past and example questions in your renewed bid to sit for the same exams.
In fact you would have gone through sample and past questions while preparing for the first sitting. You cannot wish away the past. If you have consistently failed to move forward, the best any sane mind would do is to retrace his steps back to where he started to get it wrong.
Aboy wetin u talk? I mean, what are you saying or typing? The only thing that's clearly presented is "retrace his steps back to where he started to get it wrong". If this applies to Naija and this election, then the 1914, 1960, and 1966 are the dates that "Nigeria" got it wrong. Buhari and Abacha (they are two of the same) are products of Naija getting it wrong.

Now you say we should get it wrong in 2011 because of what? Sai Buhari? Is that your answer? Sounds like US Republicans shouting "drill baby drill" at their convention in 2008. Just bullshyt answers that answer nothing.
PoliticsRe: Buhari In Zaria - See Crowd by mensdept: 5:44am On Mar 25, 2011
This is pretty funny. Post pics of local people who dont have jobs, no light, and nothing better to do with Buhari. Even I can go to the market square and pull thousands if I were a middle level Naija politician.

See the pixs of Buhari sitting among some Old-Skool Al-Queda looking folks who dont belong in leadership.

Cmon everybody, everywhere, SAI BUHARI because we are local Niggas that Ghaddaffi can pay 5 naira to go and die. Blacks na'wah
PoliticsRe: Seems Nigerians Just Never Learn. . . . by mensdept: 5:31am On Mar 25, 2011
The problem in Naija is not education. In fact looking at the post on this thread, you can see what the problem really is. Twofold: Complacency and a culture that's been sidelined to fake imitations of the West and more importantly Arab.

pleep:
who is that? Buhari? i dont know anything about nigerian politics. So im interested in his platform.
Are you 13? If so, Sen Yerima can teach you about Naija politics. I mean, try to be more serious
PoliticsRe: Do Non - Northerners Support Buhari? by mensdept: 5:26am On Mar 25, 2011

When you are traveling into the future and realize you missed your way, what will you do? You can take either of the following steps:
[li]Go back (or trace your steps back) to the point where you are sure of being on the right path and then continue your journey towards your planned destination[/li]
[li]Continue to be foolhardy roaming around in circles and stubbornly refuse to retrace your steps.[/li]
The choice is yours to make!
Sorry, but those choices are for local people.

Are you saying that the greatest day in Nigeria's history was on Dec 31, 1983, when another set of vagabonds overthrew the government and stayed in power until 1999? And we should retrace our steps from what?

You see, people always assume that you can go back to the "glory days" (according to them), or bring the past back. But you can't. That's why it's the past. You can only reference it.

We cant dig up Zik or Hebert MAC, and we cant go back to 1983. Period.
PoliticsRe: If Gej Rigs This Election by mensdept: 5:14am On Mar 25, 2011
You guys are all high on GEJ this and Buhari that. This is exactly how monkeys will enter state house and national assembly under the radar. These men will be marrying Egyptian pikins, the woman getting their groove back at Lagos clubs, and N500 billion will be released and re-released for bullshyt projects that wont be completed on time.

The only point that some are making is that there should be no rigging. If all the folks stuck in 1983 fantasy want to bring back Buhari from the history pages unto ASO Rock (which is mad ) then so be it, as long as the election was free and not rigged.  IF GEJ wins freely, then so be it. Ribadu, the same.
PoliticsRe: I Love Gej, But I Dnt Like Pdp by mensdept: 5:06am On Mar 25, 2011
In many real nations that operate real democracy and have done so for many years (without stupid greedy islamic coupist interrupting) it's very difficult to seperate the individual from the party. So, since PDP is generally in the eyes of most Nigerians a failure, and currently returning and recycling a bunch of baboons as their candidates at the state/regional/ federal levels, then it pretty much says alot about GEJ and his administration.

Look at Anambra state-a APGA gov with PDP thieves in the state house and nat'l represententatives. So you see, we have to vote out the party, at all levels, unless theirs some type of incredible coalition.
PoliticsRe: April Polls: First Lady Gives Fund To Female Candidates by mensdept: 4:34am On Mar 25, 2011
Must every first lady have some type of bull.poo initiative? Have we not learnt from the silly military wives and their money laundering aka Better Life for--- nonsense? Even those 800 women self? Wetin catch them?

Too bad those women in Aba from 1929 wasted their strength for these greedy BIA----

Nigeria will be set ablaze. the level of passion for Buhari is too high, i hope the PDP can be mature.

what's scarier is if the PDP ACTUALLY wins there will still be fire and brimestone.
LOL, the level of passion for Buhari!!! This is NAIJA, where many of the people remain and shall forever remain in the past, unable to think progressively, and are indeed, from the Nigga Area.
PoliticsRe: N7.65bn Presidential Jet Arrives by mensdept: 4:22am On Mar 25, 2011
Wow, fantastic. At least the HOS and govt people flying with him can fly around the world in style, and give foreigners a sense that Naija is afterall, a real nation, developed, peaeful, and serious.

By the way, its great the rest of Naija folks have to use Air France, KLM, and even Emirates to fly, meaning that perhaps there's something inherantly inferior about our people
PoliticsRe: Ciroma Group To Jonathan: You Are On Your Own by mensdept: 4:19am On Mar 25, 2011

The poster writes as if this is news. This is how its always been. Just go back to memory lane----1967. We know who side the Arab League, OIC, and those African nations that had large muslim populations (like Senegal) took.

Its the same old same old, and even those Arabs and Moslems from the Middle East are rioting for a better country, but not 4 Naija. People are instead wanting to vacation in London, go to the next Owambe party in Lekki, or find Aristo chics from the Polytechs.
