Politics › Re: Nigerian Government Adopts Measures To Reduce Food Prices by menwongo(m): 4:45pm On Feb 08, 2017 |
grandstar: The primary reason why food prices are high is due to the collapse of the naira from around 200.to a $ in 2015 to 490 today. Note that also the price of diesel is set internationally.
Also, protectionist policies such as high import duties on rice and increased duties on wheat have only worsened matters.
Imported food would have helped moderate the price of local ones but that's not the case.
Also there has been massive demand for food from neighbouring francophone countries who now find our food very cheap as their currency has increased in value by at least a 100% against the naira over the last two years. You just said my mind. Those bleedin ass need to employ educated personality for policy improvement in this bleeding country. |

Tojued: At 7 weeks? Mummy please what's the rush? You're supposed to give only bm or formula till 6 months. If you don't want to wait till then, 4 months is manageable.
And even at 4 months rice, oats are preferable for their tender stomachs than corn (pap). Gerber makes these cereals for supported sitters.
Signs your baby may be ready for cereal: Can hold head up Is double birth weight Can sit up (with assistance) Leans towards a spoon Shows interest in your food Does not push food out using their tongue.
Please it's advisable you stop the pap for now. This exclusive breastfeeding for at least 6 months is it an option? |

I told one of my customers not to buy oil last 2 week at #12,000 that the price will drop this February she no agree. Well she has huge capital. The truth is if you bought oil at #12,000 or #13,000, don't panic store it buy more and keep if you have the capacity. Once rain start falling oil price will increase till next dry season. As rain will fall next month Cray fish and fish price will fall. Any Cray fish marketer in the house? |

All the local government areas in Akwa Ibom state that are close to Abia state avoid they if you want to buy oil. All oil buyers buy from there hence prices are high there. Come to Itu Market and buy. Don't buy in Uyo people buy from village to sell there. |
