Oshigun:I dont write spontaneously, my ideas are well thought out before I post. Environment, community, sorrounding...are all synonymous words to describe space in relative proximity. Im going to ask you same question i posted in my last comment. When Fashola visited Ladipo Market, what did he tell them to do...and why was he there? Why did he not tell state agent, LAWMA, to clean that environment? The same reason he told the traders to "CLEAN THEIR FILTH"....im saying here it is not govt job to clean filth. People are responsible for their own cleaning of their environment, community and sorrounding. Govt removes waste.....not clean filth. Dude, im doubting your understanding....i believe you hold waste and filth to be same thing. Is that so? |
jumobi1:Let me ask you a question because looks like people are shifting goal posts here. First, did you follow the thread from beginning? Second, we talked about road maintenance and why citizens should harrass contractors, not governors. We then jumped into filth. Can you say to the world the reason Fashola was in Ladipo Market....was it about waste, or about filth? Lets keep focus at home and stop bringing japan and china into this. |
Oshigun:In those places you mentioned, people do not throw thrash all over. We are not talking about waste....we are talking about FILTH! The two are not the same. Govt is responsible for removing waste, people are responsible for cleaning their filth. Please rewind and follow the thread. The point made was on filth, not waste. |
NigeriaIsDoomed:Well, don't we already call Buhari a dictator? It's because of his high-handedness. People do not want to be bothered to demonstrate a disciplined lifestyle outwardly. When govt enforces discipline then people react by crying foul. Buhari does not know how to govern, he knows how to rule. He is lucky and smart, he sorrounded himself with people who are veterans and smarties of governance....they prop him up. For political expediency, Governors and LG Chairmen do not rule with high-handedness, typically they run a middle course and when they feel their pressure is producing an unfavourable public outcry they lean back and relax. They want to be popular so when they meet the people again in future for support they will not be abandoned for opponent. Governance is tough. Particularly in Lagos, it is not just the Governor that looses if his policy pushes the people away....the party also looses. Hence, the party rules Lagos and they put a proxy in Governor seat to execute their policies as a priority....but they also recognize the need of the individual to be a leader in his own right, so they accomodate the Governors plans for growth. In the end, a harmony between the two interests is what moves Lagos forward. In the case of Ambode, the party recognized and acknowledged his competency as a Governor and a well rounded performer. He was implementing policies out of order. For instance, the Epe development was not due for implementation but he did it. He was not listening to them. They even admitted that their Governor was not reachable, he does not respond to them. This is reason for replacing him. When you vote Governor the party name and symbol is on ballot, not name of the candidate. They wanted him out long ago but could not get him out, they did not have the power to do so. They waited for primary to defeat him, the party owns the primary and the election. They do not deny his abilities and capabilities, they just do not want a Governor that would go against the establishment. APC in Lagos is an establishment, it is different than APC in other states. APC in Lagos is fully enmeshed in Govt bureaucracy. PDP will find it difficult to Govern Lagos even if they won the race for Governor. Let me put it this way...Lagos State Secretariat in Alausa is APC Secretariat, period! |
Ambode is still a card-carrying member of APC. He is eligible to contest on that platform if he wants. |
immhotep:Some people call him Kaduna man...some call him Anioma man....some call him Iboman. Whatever he is....not a Yorubaman! Focus on 20 pounds story. ![]() |

djdutch: ![]() You are a wickedt guy, ah swear! |
immhotep:I thought he was Delta man, same kins with Nzeogwu dem. Abi Nzeogwu na Ibo? ![]() |
So this guy said these are his prayer objects, they were locked in a fire-proof safe. You dont just rip people off for 33billion naira. These objects, whatever they are, is the tool they command to bring targets and success. Whatever is in these objects Buratai should take interest since we are now in spiritual war with bokoharam. Buratai must use it to bring Shekau into surrender. If its good for raking in 33billion its more than likely good to remote control terrorists to surrender. In fact, Buhari should borrow it to remote control Kanu to return to Nigeria. Otumokpo in a fire-proof safe...mttccccheew, this is the real thing! |
Kaabiesi o! Congrats to the Throne of Oduduwa!! |
NGpatriot:Again, a blunder from you! It matters a great deal. I will repeat myself....citizens owe it to themselves to have a clean community. A governor or commissioner or LG chairman should never be chasing after people to clean their own sorrounding. Bro, where are you from? Please share what state your origin is. I feel like Im talking to a pig. Why does governor have to tell you to clean your sorrounding? |
kayusely70:Stop reading meaning into that article. Its fake |
Biafran currency were worth less than tissue paper to clean yansh. They had zero value in market. Central Bank of Nigeria took mercy and gave each person 20pounds, whether they brought 1 biafran pound or 1million biafran pound.....each had zero value anyway, so just donate 20 pound to each Biafran and get it over with. In reality, Biafrans should have been the ones paying Central Bank reparation. Instead CB gave them gift. Amazing world!! ![]() |
Ahh, Biafran notes. Interesting topic. ![]() Although Biafra had made a concerted effort to produce the second series of higher quality bank notes, it would appear that their circulation was limited. By the time the notes were introduced in 1969, the country controlled by the Biafran forces had been reduced to a circular area approximately 85 miles across (roughly 5,000 square miles) and all consumables had long been sold. When a foreign journalist, Michael Mok of ‘Life’ magazine, asked a nun working with the Biafrans whether he could make a cash donation to help the starving children, he was told that cash would be useless, as there was nothing left to buy in Biafra. This may have been one of the reasons why so many Biafran notes remained in Europe undelivered – they were a cargo that could bring little practical purpose. |
chriskosherbal:Dont mind these bad belle people jare! Even those who hold the helms of Lagos politics in their hands confessed that Ambode was not removed for performance but that he is distant and they are unable to reach Governor. I don't know how his inaccessibility now has turned to bashing about performance. ![]() |
ZZ22: ![]() Kwenu! Kwenu!! 80 Ibos deported from Malaysia. Did you get news ![]() |
NGpatriot:You have a warped understanding of a Governor's role. This is possible because these Governors fail to stay within boundary of their roles and always step-over into roles reserved for Commissioners and Council Chairmen. This ego-trip, common amongst Governors, have turned out to inform the public wrongly on the expectations of Government and its Chief Executive. No Governor should be executing road inspection and commissioning. Never, ever! We are grossly in a retrograde society. Let me coach you a little my brother... Under military administrations, Governors were usually in rank of Lt. Colonels. In military formations, Lt. Colonel is Commander of a Batallion. A batallion is less than the population of a city. In military structure he is a task master. In other words, a field officer. The civilian administrations we have had since 1999 are still observing Military Governor traditions of acting as Field Officers. A civilian Governor is executive, the equivalent of a General in Army. Generals command multiple batallions and are political administrators, not field officers like Lt. Colonels. Our civilian Governors need to transition away from being Field Officers and become true EXECUTIVES. Jobs such as inspecting roads and making sure roads are done belong to Commissioners, LG Chairmen. You have the liberty to misunderstand the role of an Executive Governor because you lack understanding in the root of the issue or how and why our Governors became project managers....like Fashola for instance visiting Ladipo Market to force them to clean the environment they are in and make money in. Very stewpid move on the Governors part. Were there no space in Jails around Lagos? |
OP, abeg change this topic to read " Terrorist Pictured infront of White House" ![]() |
NGpatriot: ![]() I am dealing with some of them already. They want Ambode to attack Tinubu and reveal what he knows so they can derail Tinubu's 2023 ambition for an Ibo opportunity. Well, since Ambode is not talking....they want to talk for him and provoke his opponents...thus start a Tinubu-Ambode war. Ibo agenda is a dumb agenda. We are here to shut it down! |
unbitchable:Lagos was not cleaner under Fashola. Was Fashola not the one that shut down Ladipo Market? Why does a Governor need to take such action to get a community in his State clean? Cleaniliness is the responsibility of individual communities, not the role of a Governor to start going to a community and threatening them before they would clean their own environment. Ambode does not owe you a clean environment, you owe yourself a clean environment. Ambode owes you a mandate to punish those who violate the Keep Lagos Clean Edict. If he did, you would still crucify him, even worse. |
See Larubawa rushing my President. ![]() They love him! God Bless you Baba! |
unbitchable:Thats not true! There is a video on internet done about filth in Lagos. It was done prior to Ambode. Lagos has more demand on it than it can manage in sanitation, road safety, fire safety, health and wellness, community planning. This is the truth. It is possible to keep Lagos spotless and well sanitized. Many people will go to jail and serve as lessons for other violators before we can get to that point. Lagos State has sanitation law that dates back to 1940s, and they are still very valid. If govt executes and enforces them the jails will fill up in one day of operation alone. Many houses and shops will also stand to be condemned and demolished. Govt can do that. Can citizens accept that outcome? |
It is probably a good thing that Saraki never went into practice, even though he qualified as a Medical Doctor. Given his antics in politics and his role as mentor and character model to a class of Kwarans with crude and uncivil approach to society, it would not be far fetched to project a similar outcome in the medical field for staffs that undergo training and mentorship as his protege....a deadly crew that subtract value from quality of life for patients under their care. |
I will say this to all people in Lagos that expect Governor to fix roads. Infrastructures in Lagos is awarded to contractors. It is not Governor that fix your roads, it is contractors that fix your roads. These contractors post their company name and sign on a board when they start work. Take a picture of it. When your road start to go bad these are the people you should responsible. If they collected 10million for a road but spend 1million and the road does not last, it is not the Governor's responsibility. The contractor is liable. So come online, and instead of bashing Governor, start posting the contractor name and bash them. In fact, ask for contractors that do bad job to be blacklisted from Government contract. This is how you improve your community and its roads, if you are serious! |
festacman:Shut up and stop repeating rumour mill you picked up on internet. Lagos roads are always in need of maintenance. If you repair a road completely today by next morning, 24hrs after, it is already showing sign of degradation. Why? The number of roads that ply Lagos roads in a day, roads in some States in Nigeria do not get that much traffic in a year. The material we use for road that support 1 million traffic a day is the same we have used back when traffic was only 20,000 a day, and even back then they needed continous maintenance. So it;'s like demand on the road has surged but we kept using the same material to surface the road. We need a change in material and better traffic routing and management. Dont let me hear you repeat that nonsense about a Governor in Lagos doing bad job about roads. No Governor of Lagos, beside General Mobolaji Johnson, has ever or will ever contain bad road problem adequately. Never....unless we come up with a different design and strategy for road usage. Road condition should be excluded from a Governor's performance in Lagos. |
Computer Village is not just Ibo. There are Yoruba sections as well. The Yoruba section is under protection of Iyaloja of Lagos. The Ibo section set up their own independent autjority and refused to be under Iyaloja authority. When this kind of issue comes up, it is often resolved with political diplomacy and behind the scenes. I will advise the Ibos in computer village to approach Iyaloja and see if she can assist them. Internet cannot solve your everyday wailing and problems across Nigeria. Today its Benue, tomorrow its PortHarcourt, day after that its Kano, then Jos, Akure, Yenogoa, Ibadan,....now its Lagos. Una get serious problem! |
NaijaCelebrity:Igbo kwenu!! Kwenu!! Kwenu!!! 80 Ibo deportees about to storm Lagos speaking Malaysian phonetics mixed with Ibo accent. ![]() |

Its making sense now. I can connect that Ife ritual back to when Ooni said Ibos were in Ife and prospered. You traded your prosperity (head) to Yoruba. Bring more pics for interpretation. ![]() |
meccuno:I have that already. Heres the caption... Symbolic - Even in weakness, Yoruba bows to no one! Awo coming out of political imprisonment with his head held high with pride! |
