Awka, Anambra State is the most backward.

Does any one know how long Awka in Anambra has gained independent town status?

Yet all SE billionaires are from Anambra we are told.

Awka should have its own Banana Island by now if that was true.

The SE also needs a large sole manufacturing factory in our region.our shoe makers have to travel to Lagoswith their designs to get sole for shoes
Aba has sole factory.
What you are talking about is industrial standard shoes that have build specs....example steel toe shoes and orthopaedic shoes. Those they go to Lagos.

If you dont have sole factory in Anambra to produce non-spec shoes, you know you can always go to Ngwa land and get. grin

They are nothing but touts and hooligans, u will only see them ontop of busses chasing commuters anything higher than this u won't see them, Aba is what is it today , is courtesies of ndi ohuhu properly from other States and other none Ngwa in Abia, don't be jealous Anambra is miles ahead from Abia, even ebonyi state of yesterday has dwarfed ur ngwaland, u should be ashamed of urself, what a sitting governor that controls billions as security votes every month could boast of after nearly 6yrs in office is 100/50 warehouse stocked with Chinese second hand 3rd grade industrial machines, how many ngwa people own shop in that Ariaria market huh
Nonsense! Ndi ohuhu my @$$!
Can you repeat this statement in the open in Ariaria? You will be brought to your knees and dealt with.

Why didnt Ndi ohubu create an Ariaria in their autonomous villages, why in Aba if they had the resource in the first place.

Anambra is a small pikin where Aba is concerned.

Aba lead in production and manpower Anambra follows....behind Imo. Fact!

MelesZenawi:
Young man listen and listen good. We have established the facts here, laid it bare and made it accepted.

Don't Just swoop into this thread to take us back to square one.

History of Ikwerres briefly::: Before their Ancestors left Ife on a sojourn to Edo till their present location...it was captured.

Ikwerres are Bini/Edos and by extension belongs to expansive Yorubaland...also proved.

Since binis themselves draws their breathing and sojourn from Yorubas and Ikwerres left Bini after that then it is safe to say that Ikwerres were originally Yorubas.

Your brother lawani once proved it. Look up for the research.
What a disconnect!

In Ugbodu, North Delta, smack in middle of Anioma, and a direct Yoruba ancestry rooted to Akure/Owo, they have Yoruba name and Ibo name. Anyone and everyone acknowledge they are Yoruba. Even their language is proto-Yoruba.

It is only in dressing they appear to be Ibo.

In Ikwere, they speak pure Ibo, names are Ibo, dress like Ibo and even have eat Ibo food.

Ikwerre must drop Ibo name before I will be convinced they are not Ibo.

On this topic I stand with my in-laws. grin

MelesZenawi:
Well, BRACED is right because Amaechi is on a self deceit and can only deceive those willing to be swayed.

We have established without doubt here that ikwerres are bini migrants and not igbos...

it is only foolish remnants trained and recruited by Nnamdi kanu that goes about pushing a propaganda that Ikwerres are Igbos whereas they are not...

Repeating same phrase over and over again makes the whole thing stale when we knows the truth. Ikwerre is an ethnic group on its own.

How can someone be telling you that he is an ethnic nationality and you that is not from there is telling him that he is igbo. Is that not the height of stupidity and foolishness.....

Excerpts

“ And that was the beginning of the Igbo man's adventure in Ikwerre land. However, the administrative arrangements of the white man wrongly posited the Ikwerre in Nigeria into the Eastern region , largely dominated by the Igbos .”
Any Ikwerre denying Ibo need to drop Ibo name and take on Bini name.
Politics › 2023: Babachir Says No APC Member Has The Right To Stop Tinubu From Contesting by MetaPhysical(op): 1:34am On Aug 02, 2020
A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has said nobody in the All Progressives Congress has the right to prevent the party’s national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, from contesting the 2023 Presidency.

Lawal, in an interview with Sunday PUNCH, also canvassed power shift to the South, particularly the South-West. He expressed dismay at some notable northerners desiring Presidency to be retained in their region.

He accused some APC governors of fuelling the crisis in the party so they could take control for their own selfish political purposes. He said the overall goal of the politicians was to undo the current structure under the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

He said it was laughable if the objective of the politicians, who he alleged to have masterminded the removal of the former party chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, was to oppose the alleged Tinubu’s presidential aspirations.

Lawal said, “Those who wanted Adams Oshiohmole out are more desperate because of 2023 because as a national chairman of a party, from my our own observation, there’s very little he could do to favour or impose a presidential candidate in his party.

Except we want to bring the wrath of God on our heads, because of his role in building the party, equity and a sense of justice demand that he be given a chance in a free and fair system and let his luck prevail.

“Nobody with a clear conscience in the APC will deny Tinubu the opportunity to contest the Presidency. Nobody within the party has the moral right to even put a stumbling block on his path. The party must create an environment that is free and fair for anybody who wants to contest, including Bola Tinubu. Let the delegates, who must have emerged through a similarly free and fair process, decide who they want to vote for.”

Lawal also urged Buhari to support power rotation to the South to enable the emergence of his successor from the region.

“A just and equitable way of doing things is to agree, as gentlemen, that since the North has had its President for the second tenure, the opportunity should be given to the South to produce the next President,” he said.

Lawal added that the northern region’s hold onto power had been an albatross.

He said, “By the way, what did we get from several years of governance with the Presidency being from the North? Since the demise of General Sani Abacha, the country has been into crises of insecurity and poor economy.

“Along the line, we have also had vice-presidents who were northerners. We have had presidents who were northerners but for whatever reason, the system is not improving. Presidency from the North is like an albatross around our neck.”

How many people do you know who registered their marriage in the registry in Yoruba land?

Instead they do Nikah marriage because the man knows his wife is a slut, and will definitely leave her for someone else.
I believe you don't know who your father is

You need to read this thread

https://www.nairaland.com/3776117/funmi-iyanda-yoruba-men-dont

That link tells us that Yoruba men don't mind if their wives cheat on them.

I know my parents up to the fifth generation can you say that about yourself?
When children of same family deliver machette cuts and kill each other over mango.

When cousins machette each other and loose life over a bottle of coke.

When a son kills his mother because she boiled yam for him but he wants it roasted.

When a father kills his daughter because she turned down marriage offer from his friend.

When parents poison and kill their pregnant daughter because the child in her belongs to Kamoru, a Yoruba muslim.

When all these incestual killings and many more of their varieties happen everyday amongst the Ibo stock.....do you need someone to say you are dysfunctional families before you know it?

Actual that is why it take time to comput them
Ok. If they are actuals, then they are result of what took place in 2013 to 2017.

The next scheduled ranking of actuals in 2018 to 2022 is not yet out.

If a report is released midstream....it is likely they are rebasing the minimums in view of covid19.

Is this a review and amendment report?

If it is....it should be posted side by side articulating the ranks before, and where they stand after.

You started well but ended badly though you're entitled to your opinion sha.. But the report is credible ok.
We are not in normal. Outside covid19 you can argue in its favor.

We have just completed first half of 2020....and covid has impacted economy that long.

No need to rush....bring result but make sure they are solid!

Hunchogee:
Yes because they have not conducted new ones from 2019 - 2022 yet... So let wait still 2022 new phase of ranking ok.
But trust they won't be much changes ok
So then this report has no validity in reflection of current levels.

A report from 2013 to 2017 lacked contingencies that are reality in 2020.

It would have to be rebased in view of covid 19 to get a somewhat acceptable ranking.
Politics › Re: Exclusive: Top Ten Richest States In Nigeria 2020....CBN by MetaPhysical: 9:24pm On Aug 01, 2020
I believe ots is affirming and very encouraging to boost people up when these reports show true account.

Look, Lagos has been at the top so long that it wont hurt me if a rival state overtake Lagos. It will show they took economy serious and are stepping positively to sustain and improve.

In fact it will gladden me to see couple of states outperform Lagos. It will suggest they are ripe for investor market and to enter there for opportunities. It will help in many ways to decongest Lagos and spread wealth elsewhere.

This is why I love Kwara. They are the most improved and sustainable growth. Im already thinking after covid to go spend a week in Ilorin to see.

All these are worthless optimism if the data and report fed to us is tainted and non credible.

Rossikki:
All the more reason why the Biafra idea is STUPID.

Who will be the primary market of this expansion in Anambra State?

NIGERIANS.

Africa's biggest market, and the world's 6th largest consumer market.

Secessionists imagine that they will be able to sell these wares to the world, and don't need the Nigerian market. But they are seriously deluded. Countries are putting up protectionist barriers to build their own local industries. Others like China, have comparative advantage in manufacturing, and will leverage that to start price wars if need be, lowering them to stave off any competition.

Many buying countries would simply prefer the familiarity of Italian or even China made products, and would shun new, unproven stuff from some little African country.

Bottom line: For these Eastern industries to thrive, and take off to the next level, THEY NEED THE NIGERIAN MARKET.

Secession kills that immediately.

Nigeria is projected to become the world's THIRD most populous nation after China and India by 2050.

That is MARKET on a world class scale which Igbo manufacturers can have FIRST ACCESS TO BEFORE ALL-COMERS, if they play their cards right, and remain in the federation.

That FIRST ACCESS to the Nigerian market is already happening slowly, as groups like INNOSON and others get government supply contracts. INNOSON even supplies the Nigerian Airforce with equipment now.

As we approach 2050, the Igbos could become the richest ethnicity in all Africa, and among the richest on earth, if they remain...Nigerians.

A word is enough for the wise.
I endorse this message!

In one sentence,
...shun Yorubaland, gateway to West Africa, and welcome your extintion!
