I think the approach wasnt good enough just like 2009.  We defended too deep and the more we tried to defend, the more porous our midfield looked,  Giggs played so poorly so the work load was too much on carrick and Parks,  Valencia did more of defending than attacking. Chicharito wasnt really supported so i wont blame him as such.  I believe Rooney, Ferdinand, Park, carrick and Vidic, evra, fabio tried.  VDS tried alot!  I THINK Scholes should have been brought in at d very start of d 2nd half to marshall d Midfield and Giggs out.  Check d way Barca played, they attacked together but 7guys defended as a unit leaving Messi, Villa, Pedro ready to attack so anytime they win back possession, they give the ball to the specialists- Xavi and Iniesta who delivers the ball to the 3guys especially to Messi.  Maybe am wrong though
