Most Masters prog in Canada do not accept 2.2 u would have to go do post grad diploma first. Research any college and get in there after that u do ur Masters. |

But most of this exams are quite different from school exams. My sister finished with 4.48 and she failed Access Bank test. My guy finished with 3.75 and he passed the test. My friend again finished with First Class In Accounting and she failed GMAT (350/800). Tell your brother to try again. I am so sorry 6 Likes |

I have never been disrespectful to anyone on dis project and i try to respond to everyone even when I am at the office. The blame should not be placed on the Nigerian govt for not providing jobs, it should be placed on us (GRADUATES) who do not know how to churn out and exceptional resume. Throughout this conversation everyone has been using the word CV, but the truth is that it is resume and not cv that most of us have. There is a difference between CV and resume (Dont ask me the difference, go and do ur research). I think resume writting and Networking should be taught in our universities. How would someone send an attachment to a hiring manager without adding some form of intro to the email. Alot of job require cover letter do we really add a cover letter as required by the job? As a hiring manager, an exceptional resume would have Profile instead of Objective. I want to see accomplishments not only duties: Eg "Orchestrated the addition of a major account that catapulted my branch's profit by 35%". i dont wanna see "Opened accounts for clients". Below is an example of a Profile: "Dynamic, results driven sales strategist with 4+ year's record of achievement and demonstrated success driving multi-million Naira revenue growth while providing visionary sales leadership in highly comepetitive markets. Solid track record of securing key clients and increasing product distribution to grow market share. Tenacious in building new business , securing customer loyalty and combining business acumen with innate leadership abilities to recruit, build and train top-performing sales team" (Micheal, 2012). I dont wanna see some creepy obejective: " looking for a company where i can apply myself and grow" (Rubbish). If possible illustrate ur accomplishments with a graph. I have seen a graph inculcated in a resume and that tickled my fancy. Your resume has to be different. The key to getting a job is and an excellent resume (tailoring/tweaking your resume to match the job requirement). God bless Nigeria. (so ino sabi hw much the main one cost Grocery: Na u know wetin u dey buy Entertainment: Na u go talk if u dey club like that Shopping: .......... Calling card to call Naija: $40/month (if u no really dey call) If u manage well $1000/month fit dey alright for a student. In the list i didnt add car. But if i Add car for u be ready to include insurance. For me i pay $450/month (100% comprehensive insurance with G2 license)for car insurance. If u no go buy car then disregard d msg. If u dey come this town for the first time just try carry at least $3000 |

I said combination MBA studies and work is gonna be hard. However, u could look for a job in school. For me, while I was doing my MBA (2yrs) I never worked i just focused on school. Just try carry enough money come here and dont rely on work. U dont even get a work permit till after 6months of studies and u have to be in good academic standing. |

Cullinane: Guy what do you mean by "Extra-curricular activities" and which other school apart from Memorial University offers a cheap MSc in Technology Management or Msc in Engineering Management? Memorial University MSc in Tech Management na online so I no dey interested.I think memorial is one of the cheapest. Chck Ryerson University or Schools in the Alberta region. This question requires research and i no get free time no do am(I am so sorry). Just google am (No vex i know say e hard) Most of the times when Canadians say extracurricular activities they mean volunteer work eg clubs/associations that u are part of in school or outside of school. Eg Volunteer worker at Ikeja General hospital (Children wing), Volunteer worker @ Motherless babies home Ajegunle (lol). All they wanna see is that u give back to ur community. They also wanna see that u have leadership capabilities eg President Banking and Finance Association univ of lagos, Assistant president engineering student association university of ife. 1 Like 1 Share |

Pls mr mevisbleek help out.thanks man2.5m is a lot of money but unfortunately it cant pay for any MBA in Canada. That money can only pay for MSC or Post graduate diploma. Why dont u do msc now then later in the future if money come u do MBA. Another option is for u to apply for the MBA entrance scholarship at Ryerson university. God fit help u get in. Hurry cos i think they stop taking application for 2013 scholarship stream by december 2012. |

Been working ma ass off the internet for sklsEvery school in Canada require GMAT to get accepted into the MBA Program. However, Vancouver Island University does not require GMAT and their tuition is like $33,000 for the 16months program. MSC Programs require GRE. the cheapest MBA IN canada is $25,000 (Ryerson University) and the most expensive is $85,000 (University of Toronto) 1 Like 1 Share |

U just have to apply early. Last year one yoruba guy got full scholarship. So just google Ryerson University and trying applying. For the scholarship i know that they look at the following: GMAT Score, Undergad grade (minimum 2:1), Extra-curricular activities (this is very important), Professional Qualification (eg CFA, CMA etc). They give 20 people every year. So apply early and God go help you. The naija guy that got the thing last year had 740 in his GMAT, and First class from OOU. GOD GO HELP U NO WORRY. @andre99, queens university is in Kingston, Ontario. I recommend that school cos they have a strong alumni network. Ontario is saturated oh. I recommended queens cos its a good school and i heared that their msc program is not expensive. If u get the money i would advise u to go for MBA. Even after MBA u can still do Phd if u want. In my opinion i would say employers respect MBA more. No vx for my question, what your budget for MBA? |
