All igbos should always inform their folks in the villages on the dangers of allowing fulani settlements on their lands. They should not collect rent from them , those with fulani settlements already should use an intellectual approach to get rid of them especially by dividing up communal land into individual holdings. This will lead to fencings and new housing buildings thereby denying them grazing land. This will force them to vacate the land. Pls don't engage them in an armed conflict. It's not worth it. |
Ahmadu bello decreed that some tribes are meant to be willing slaves. The biafrans rejected it and the willing slaves invaded biafra.so the willing slaves in d middlebelt and south west brought this on their own. Offcourse we in the east(se and ss) will occasionally have this problem, but we will always have it least while they will recieve it in full force. That is d law of karma. When some farmers killed fulani and their cows in enugu sometime ago, the yorubas on nairaland were shouting why are igbos killing fulani? Lets see what they will say now. |
This story sounds suspicious, let the man tell his own side of d story first b4 we conclude. Almost all the matrimonial nonsense we read from our newspapers are mostly from one part of d country. Does it have anything to do with their culture? |
Can the atheists come to the shrine of my village ogwugwu ani and challenge d existence of God and the supernatural? It's seems they are taking the forgiving and slow to anger nature of the christian God for granted. |
9ja na mumu,i was forced to learn three languages and yet i can't construct a sentence in french. As africans, french is far strategic than chinese but i guess most nigerians are too ignorant to know why |
godstino: so because uniabuja is facing some challenges, that made u say evy1 is a mumu rite? Wat have u as a person done to correct dese confused policies?? talking abt IQ, which sane person wud call a country and even his parents mumu??i wont reply you again cos u are one of those myopic awareness-seeking ignoramus on nairaland...ur all rant and no point, further compounded by a self delusion of grammatical grandeur otherwise u should know that a true patriot don't mince words in d critique of his country when they completely go off track. Continue playing d ostrich while 9ja goes down d drain. |
godstino: it is a relief since you know u r a capital MUMU. SO i wud assume it was ur MUMUISH nature that made u spit that MUMURISED comment above...ur a typical nigerian mumu that can't deal with the truth. An average nigerian will rather die than think. Deal with the truth, this country is adrift without direction, the gov is confused with confused policies, d ppl can't even reason well or how can u explain that despite the well publicised accreditation problems facing that school, ppl still applied for admission there just to answer students of uniabuja.where should i start to talk from? I still stand by my earlier post, if ur opposed to it, then prove ur point logically, otherwise i dare to add ur among d nigerians with an IQ of 69. |
The north lost their grip on power for just a few yrs and they wont allow us to have a peace of mind. The south and christian middlebelt should not allow this ppl te smell power again. |
And the fg is still opening new universities, mumu country with mumu ppl, mumu gov, mumu uni and mumu students. |
Lagos deports nigerians so why shouldn't botswana? And the fact that most fellows here don't know that botswana is a very progressive country shows d level of ignorance in nigeria. A nation of educated illiterates. |
Jonathan should come and chat with us on nairaland, we will definitely do better than the journalists |
Sorry 4 ur loss, socialist/communist countries like sweden and germany always legislate against this type of jobs that turn ppl into slaves. Ppl sometimes need to be protected from their own workaholicism. |
azimibraun: Can a a chatolic Bishop accept a jet as gift?even the pope does not own a private jet talkless of a bishop. It's too costly to own and maintain. |
Happy birthday to the great icon |
My ppl too de fear, and they always have reason to fear- fela. Soon they will remove fuel subsidy and nothing will happen. |
Pls can somebody tell me how subsidy removal will eventually lead to private refineries. Current importers are paid #141 by d government and private refineries would still earn #141. Besides the immediate past shell md made it clear that they would not build any refinery even with subsidy removal. What have been done with the money saved so far from partial subsidy removal? What palliatives have been put in place? What action plan will be followed after d removal? It just reminds me of the huge increases in electric tariffs without anything to show as its gains. Nigeria power sector seems it would continue like this for long, then government would tell us that we need higher prices and d circle of deceit continues. |
phineboy1pimple: U seem to b missing d point here... I'm trying to understand if U r opposing getting a university degree or proposing a Handiwork... Cuz, based on ur example... The guy got trained in Yankee by experienced HANDIWORK ppl...if i call him, an educated illiterate now, ppl will start accusing me of being abusive. |
360command: Guy, take it easy. This is why they say Nigerians dont speak good English. You are also the course of unemployment in this countrymumu in ur mind, ur a professor of english? It's mumus like u that give d nigerian graduate a bad name. Obnoxiously proud when ur not better than those u cajole. |
We know our government have failed but the truth is that our graduates have failed more. To be honest, if i'm an employer, i won't employ any of my ppa colleagues during youth service. I generally call them educated illiterates. I can swear none of them wrote and passed their waec on their own based on their performance during our service yr. So yes we need a violent revolution but even that might not be enough to put this country in order. Most nigerians would later die than think. engineerd: There is a JOB waiting for those 60% unemployed youths! TAKE UR COUNTRY BACk!!!! IT'S CALLED REVOLUTION!!!We know our government have failed but the truth is that our graduates have failed more. |
My friend the guy is an american trained engineer with over 30yrs working experience, in otherwords he is probable over 60yrs old, bros pls stop comparing akpu and akamu. |
femi_seun: Your problem is simply lack of exposure and poor reasoning ability. Is it impossible for someone to study automobile engineering abroad and practise in Nigeria? Why do u think people take their cars to Brass, coscharis etc.so in ur mind, those working at coscharis are automobile engineers? Bros they are technicians(handiwork). U can easily learn that at any technical college abroad.they probable won't even ask u for waec before admitting u. The way ppl are using this things now, i believe it can be learn't somewhere in nigeria. |
afam4eva: This is a good call. it seem most of the progressive calls these days are coming from the North.they are afraid of the country breaking up, wait and see their true colour when power goes back to them. |
2good: I've said I'm not here to argue with anybody but rather to make my point. You are free not to accept what I've written as I don't have to prove anything to you. My Chemical Engineering graduating class have over 70% success rate with more than 10% currently practicing outside Nigeria.read my post above, |
Leaving before 2015, besides i don't believe our oil deposits are as rich as we like to believe. Nobody know nigeria true amount of deposits or de amount still left. All this rubbish that we still have enough deposits to last us another another 35yrs at current rate of production sounds like a hoax to me. Just my 2 kobo. |
All this igbos sef, always running welfare and credit scams in london. Where is d likes of bittend, eko ile etc to vomit in public for us as usual. Maybe they will want to prove to us the man is from anambra state. Sarcasm intended. |
^^ i read it on BBC less than 24hours ago, the american media is putting it on media black out. Texas alone has garnered more than 75000 petitions in less than 3days, as the news spreads on d internet, i expect millions to vote on it. Ron paul would have fixed america nice. Too bad the real owners of america bullied him out. |
^^ thanks for explaining. Nice to know that american judicial system can equally be hijacked into perpetual adjoinments. |
^^If i might ask what did u study and when did u graduate? U can't compare somebody that studied chemical engineering topped with a foreign masters about 10yrs ago to be arguing where ppl with a first degree in social sc right now. Stop comparing akpu food to akamu. By d way the biggest faculties are always d social sc and arts. And our companies prefer foreign trained chinese technicians than local trained engineers. Or do u believe that any of d chinese technicians building factories at anambra are uni graduates? Check d profile of those obnoxious white management of dangote, the most highly qualified might only have a diploma. |
It's on BBC now. How come american big media houses are not broadcasting it? Hypocrites |
I asked this same question on d other thread and none of this yankee nigerians answered it, instead they were busy maligning each other over nigeria and biafra. Pls can somebody tell me what happens now that the signatures have reached 25000. |
2good: University education gives you a life time exposure and connection of friends who would be future leaders and top executives in the future. That is something you can never quantify. Being in the university environment refines you and open your reasoning.that is the crap u read from universities brochure. In real life, the opposite is observed. I have met many business leaders, importers, travel agents, artisans, bank managers, extremely brilliant and practically knowledgible ppl etc from d street and markets of onitsha. D only ppl i knew from school are mostly unemployed and struggling yrs after graduation. U can make more connections by learning to have a pleasant and gregarious personality in d work place, church, motor park and even nairaland than u would make by being in school with d same class for 4-5yrs. |
The biggest mistake i made in my life is to attend a university for a social science degree. All the boys i left at home have gone far financially by d time i have finished service. Even d furniture builder in my street is worth millions with an army of apprentice working for him. The mechanic at d spare market market is now an importer with sophisticated computer scanning tools. The welder owns multimillion naira equipments. Where would i begin? Bros bone o. What u need is a solid primary and secondary school education. Even there artisans are far more exposed and educated albeit informally than the educated illiterates called coppers i met during my youth service. Even d guy i left as a cyber cafe manager is so experienced that he can confidently defend a certificate in computer science anywhere in d world even though he never attended any uni. He was even writing final yr degree projects for uni students. The best knowledge is on d streets, the best books are extremely cheap at onitsha market and d internet while what they give at d uni would not make u employable and very costly. I'm earning my daily meal through my self education and none of my uni classmates have been able to even get a decent job even with masters degree. |
