Talking about homosexuality, the government has no business deciding what I do with my body. Legalising marriage is another discussion because it is a civil or religious affair. At a time in South Africa, Blacks couldn't marry whites. I some countries, Christians couldn't marry muslims. etc. A society decides that but also suffers its consequences.

from time immemorial, societies have always decided the limits of what you can with your body and what you cannot. Thats why suicide and homosexualism are crimes in most parts of the world. You as an individual must live within the moral limits set by your society. Also by stalling i mean that countries like usa prospered more quickly under the founding fathers and have less social crises(high divorce rates,lower poverty level etc) because people then lived within societal limits. The early americans killed homosexuals and that is a case of violently defending their culture.

Even the Chinese you mentioned are currently abandoning their culture and copying the westerners. Community living should not infringe on individual liberties. If China thinks it's doing its country a big service by blocking foreign media, it's got another think coming. Those that really want to watch CNN will watch it. Others just travel outside and see the same thing. Censorship never works and unless your culture evolves and adapts, it is doomed.

All the engineering students i served with have gotten a job though it pays little for a starter but those from social sciences and art are usually worse off.

most parents speak very bad english/pidgin english and eventually pass it over to their children at a very tender age. Another reason why parents should stick to their mother tongues and leave english teaching to the professionals.

My father was an only child and an orphan with alot of enemies trying to grab everything in the village but yet we spent atleast 2wks christmass and new year vacation in the village. My parents will skin us alive if we dare to speak english in the house. We are now growing up but we don't need our father to secure our lands. I encourage my junior ones to atleast put a dwarf fence round the plots that they are bound to inherit. We often send money home and that encourages our father to make out the time for those construction. You don't need to send much, it largely depends on the parents.

ha ha, i have largely lost hope in this country and her citizenry. The igbo language will eventually disappear with the mindset of the current generation. I partly blame pentecostalism. Igbos hardly pray in igbo language or give their children native names. Some even change their surnames to english. Have u heard about pastors called Stone O Stone, bishop sk magsey, rev king? in nigeria, i can't think or seen any other place apart from teaching. Yet i advice u to study it, a friend of mine did and is now living fine in d usa where she went for her masters degree. She made 2.1 from UNN

the list is very sensible, i did not write but i don't question it. That u studied any of them and end up as a bank staff is just a result of plain luck/connection beside ur job wont be safe, but my guy that studied comp sc and work as a sys admin in a bank got his cos of what he studied, earns more, have a more secure job and a less stressfull life free from chasing targets.

Whether we like it or not courses like history, anthropology, soil science etc are not highly sought after by employers nor do they give u much skills to earn a living. Even in the usa, the most unemployment prone set of college graduates are those from arts and social sciences. Most universities abroad no longer offer this courses.

He concluded by saying that it's americans that should pay us to teach them about peace keeping from our decades of experience. He was instantly retired and the money paid to the americans.

all4naija: Does Al-Qaeda use internet ? Yes. Is Boko Haram linked to Al-Qaeda? Yes. The truth is that Nigerians have turn internet to unscrupulous business. So, something needs to be done to find solution to it.

boko haram is a group formed and run by the northern elite. They don't have the sophistication of al qaeda and will never do. Besides, if u have been following al qaeda news or have even the least level of security awareness, u would have known that al qaeda does not use the internet. The worst they do is to post videos from random cyber cafes and no amount of cyber monitoring can stop that or nigerians sending scam emails. Statistically speaking, they is nothing different from a business mail from a scam mail to a packet analyser. Nigerian have already spent billions buying non working drones from israel, more billions training dogs abroad, billions on sim card registration and even billions on space technology claiming that all this will stop boko haram. But basic common sense should tell u that these things are not used in anti guerilla warfare. We are just wasting money and remember that Gej offered a foreign country nigerians biometric data. Imagine that?

Do boko haram use internet ? Answer is NO. Do we d youths need d internet for a revolution? The answer is YES. The goverment just outsourced our national security to foreign firms.

many news articles on the internet also showed that (married)female secondary school teachers do have sex with their male students and even lost their jobs because of it in the usa. That country have a serious case of lack of self control among it's ppl.

Why can't the government implement complete a drainage project on time? I blame it on the government. They like stretching project time as long as possible often going into decades.

The north did not support jonathan in 2011, they are all a bunch of liars seeking for relevance. The presido should unleash the EFFC,abandon amnesty and atleast complete some visible projects and he will win them again come 2015, after all the north now in opposition can't even present one candidate. Even ANPP broke up and buhari was pushed away at the dying minute. The presido should just man up for once and deal with this vultures.
