BascoVanVeli: My brother this is simply the dirty part of the game, the part that will always divide the fans. The best thing is to accept that we gave power to the coach to make decisions and that is what he is doing. I also don't fancy the way it was handled and we can just hope Rohr learns from this going into the future. he took it the right way sha, if he can reinvent himself as a striker or as a SS then I'd love to see Musa around. On his day, Zabaleta had no chance against him, prime Zabaleta. I don't know but he caused it sha, going to Leicester was a bad move all along, go back to Russia now or some other EPl team, get back on track and Rohr will beg you to take back the armband |

safarigirl: o, if we want to use Brazil's method by giving captaincy to the best performing player, then make we dash Kelechi or Leon Balogun in the absence of Mikel, abi?
Did you not see where I said they should not have given Onazi? Abi you skipped that part ni?
Did Rohr tell you he removed him because of that or a journalist said Rohr said? You just dey talk like say you follow Rohr talk, he come give you exclusive information
I repeat, if we want to vex on behalf of anybody, vex for Echiejile, not Musa. How is Kelechi even in the picture if we want to give it to the best performing player? you didn't mention Ndidi, Ekong, Etebo, Leon, even Omeruo, all these players have performed better than him in the last two-three games, ok maybe two games for Omeruo alone. Anyways, my point is that Onazi was made captain before Musa, talking about seniority Musa pass am, so what's your point? You know that Rohr was wrong by choosing Onazi so why are you including Echejile now? Was Echejile the captain of the game. Let's not dwell on this sha, Musa like every random aboki is a humble dude, that's what I love about him. He even tied someone's lace for him |

Joebie: You won't say what I've said made zero sense if you got my point
1. It's not about being a benchwarmer. The idea that Mikel did not get time at Chelsea was not attributed to lack of quality or form. His performances at the Olympics and for SE is a testimony to that.
2. Musa situation at Leicester is different. He gets playing time but is not measuring up. Read my comments again.
If you can truly comprehend you will get the point im making has nothing to do with bench warming .
Let me help you summarize it. Rohr is just finding an excuse because he foresees Musa Musa will lose his place in the team completely.
As long as you are in top shape, let's put all egos aside. Let the best always be in the team. We want results. That's what we hired him for. Then look for a better excuse. I know Musa will lose his place but telling him he lost his captainship because of lack of playing time is not fair to him. There were other excuses, like you are not old enough, or some coaches just like Midfielders and defenders as their captains, something that makes sense except that bench warming part. Sorry I said you said nonsense, but it just isn't fair to Musa |

safarigirl: Please, when did Musa join the Super Eagles and when did Echiejile join?
*modified*
On what grounds did anyone say Musa deserves the captain arm band? Echiejile is older than him in Tue team, so whybarw you guys not fighting for Echiejile?
How can Elderson be in that team and Musa is collecting arm band and you people are yarning about respect. Respect to who abeg?
Elderson made his debut in 2009 and Musa made his in 2010, if Captaincy is based on years in the team, then by all means, Echiejile ought to get that band over Musa
Or is it by caps? Then Musa can get the band, he has 7 more caps than Elderson....
Anyway, like i said before, Musa does not have captain qualities IMO....i just would have prefered Echiejile, Onazi was sha not it Is Neymar the oldest person in the Selecao? But he is their captain, you don't even understand the bone of contention and you are here misyarning. Rohr said he removed Musa because he is a bench warmer, Mikel used to be a bench warmer but he wasn't removed, so that's hypocritical of him. Had it been that he said that he removed him because he isn't the oldest player there then we will all understand, not that lame excuse. Ok so is Onazi older than Musa and Echejile? So why isn't Musa Echejile's assistant? |

Joebie: Collin Udoh well done! But I beg to differ.
If Rohr wanted to be blunt, he would have said he does not see Musa in his future Eagles. Let truth be told, I wont take anything from Musa's character or past gallant performances for Nigeria. But at the moment, with the tested and untested options we have in the front, Musa has some big competition in his hands. And as a coach, Rohr has a vision. And I don't think he sees Musa in it.. Musa should take it as a motivation to work really hard. He is just 24/25. So he has many more opportunities if he steps up his game. In this sport -- also consider other national teams -- only the best can (or should) make the team. No sentiments.. no disrespect. Musa needs to read the handwriting on the wall -- Step up your game, or you are on your way out. Even Onazi's poisition is threatened right now. How about Mikel? I made that argument sometime ago that Mikel is not indispensable. I never said he was not a good player..surely his experience will be needed in the SE, but these younger SE players are making a loud statement that says, "it's out time!" what you just said makes absolutely zero sense. Musa was disrespected, I don't know why you are trying to go around it, what Rohr did wasn't fair. We had Mikel, a full time bench warmer at Chelsea as our main captain, so why should Rohr change the post for Musa? That's bad, as simple as that |

SharpJoe: I would chose Mikel over Alli too. Makes a lot of sense to me. I am not blown away by the craft in Alli's play. I will take Dembele of Tottenham over Alli in a heart beat. In the AMF role?! Dembele is more like a CMF and obviously I'd choose him over Alli as the CMF, but when it comes to AMF, playing behind the striker?! No nah, Mikel no even follow na |

komekn: That's an unfair comparison.
Consider Mikel when he was got the silver behind in 2005 FIFA Youth championship. That would be more justified comparison , Dele is 10 years younger than Mikel that is not fair.
Add to that they play completely different roles. I have nothing against that. But pyrex was trying to point out that as at now, as in let's say we had a match by 7pm on the 25th day of March 2016, and he had Alli and Mikel in the team, that he would choose Mikel over Alli right now for the AMF role. That makes no sense |

Icon4s: Let me be sincere. I'll glad if that Burkina game is off. Our boys are still recovering from the fight they had with the Lions we want to throw them in again to fight with the Stalions.
NFF should look for one league one or two club play abeg.
Atleast with that Rohr can start and assess Ebuehi and Obazee And also do some shuffling upfront or try a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formation. I would also want to a 4-4-2 with Success and Iheanacho as the hitmen.
No Burkina friendly abeg. With dey did against Senegal they are good enough to beat Cameroun in Uyo, which is all we need to eliminate Cameroun. but we will play Cameroon twice in....4 days? Shouldn't we be getting ready now? I would have preferred it if the Senegal match was cancelled rather than this one, the Burkinabes are seriously good, dudes were all over the cameroonians for 90 mins if not for that smash and grab. And they roundly outplayed the Ghananians, stronger test than Senegal IMO |

If he wasn't playing in defence when he came on, why do you still argue he was a defender in the game? I thought they said that the Costa Rican's scored in the 82nd minute? If that's so, then by that 92nd minute every single outfield player will be pushing forward to get the winning goal |

forgiveness: Substitution in game could be change of game plan.
Rohr testified that he thought of either bringing in Etebo or Ogu for Onazi.
If you go by off the ball movement, you need to remember that Onazi played in the Seria A where much emphasis is made on movement.
We played better doesn't mean we played badly.
Which links up where bad?
When was the chances wasted, was when Onazi was there or when Ogu came in? so you like watching an average performance? You are also forgetting that he played in the Seria A primarily as a DMF, De Jong is a typical seria A DMF, do I need to explain to you De Jong's style of play? SharpJoe: Come on. Mickael2's point is crystal clear. He pointed out that Onazi's off the ball movement when we had the ball was poor which led to our team not having a fluid build up play. He also pointed out that this was what John Ogu did that got the team playing better which was noted by lots of pundits and followers.
He even went as far as pointing at Modric's style of play which paints a clear picture.
Mickael2 made a brilliant point to which we should note and we hope the technical crew points it out too. No, he can continue with his jokes sha, he doesn't just want to accept the fact that Onazi isn't a good CMF because I remember the formation he brought up some days ago had Onazi playing as his CMF, now he doesn't want to accept that he is wrong. I didn't say Onazi was bad entirely, I said as a CMF he was bad, had it been that he was deployed to play as a DMF then he had a good 20-25 mins but then he wasn't, he was supposed to play as a CMF which he frankly didn't do justice to. Now, the point is that Onazi should only play as a DMF for us, but then that means he will be vying for the same spot with Ndidi, no prizes for guessing who should be picked |

forgiveness: Did you see the match?
I watched the first half though not really clear but I can tell you those who fumbled.
Leon Balogun was obviously the culprit at the beginning of the match though he he picked up latter in the game.
Ekong was also making horrible mistakes with lack of precision in his tackles though he also improved latter in the game.
Omeruo and Elderson added nothing to the attacks, they were just defending well. We need wing backs that can defend well and are adventurous to join the attacks.
Some where too blind to see that Onazi controlled the midfield but was surrounded by players given away the ball easily.
Some people even claimed the Senegalese overran the Midfield while Onazi was involved in the the 20 minutes of the game. That was a fat lie na.
It was obvious the Senegalese had a game plan to score earlier and embark on counter attack. They wanted to avoid us scoring first because they know we will kill them on the counter.
I couldn't see the attackers game because the angle of the recording was from our defense though I saw somebody dribbling and showing skills on the right flank.
I suspected the person to be Iheanacho.
However, from the official analyses of the ratings, I think Iwobi and Simon did very but Iheanacho fumbled with the ball.
They should have gotten 2-4 assists if Iheanacho had buried the ball into the net but he fumbled big time and made it look as if Iwobi, Simon and Ahmed didn't do their duties well. They did but Iheanacho was the culprit who wasted numerous chances....
People had already started criticizing for missing a goal but turned blind eyes to Iheanacho who fumbled with most chances but are satisfied because a caused the penalty and went ahead to score.
Who set Iheanacho the chance to go one on one with the keeper? From that report Iheanacho couldn't had done anything without Kayode winning the ball from the midfield and setting Iheanacho free.
It was not even Success that gave the pass though Success was largely influential in the game.
I was not scrutinizing your report na but I made that fake statement based on some evil and bring em down report from.....
I know say you no dey sell market na.
I just dey great na. Oga, you did not watch the match simple and short. If you did, then you didn't understand what was going on. Onazi was the CMF so it was his duty to make himself available for a simple pass from the DMF and the CBs but he was running away from the passes, making himself unavailable, he wanted to chase the ball rather than keep possession of the ball, that was why everybody was misplacing passes because the CMF who was supposed to make them all gel was poor, or let me say he thought he was still the DMF. When Ogu came in what did he do? He didn't do any extraordinary thing, he just made himself available whenever a nigerian player had the ball. I understand the fact that you may have been blinded by the fact that he was the one making all the tough tackles but which top notch CMF still plays like that? Do you see Iniesta or Kroos or Modric or...just about any CMF playing like that? That is not how a CMF works. Had it been that Onazi was deployed to play as a DMF in that game then we can all agree that he was doing his work as a destroyer, but he was meant to be the CMF, the glue in the middle and he failed. |
