Poems For ReviewRe: Nothing Can Justify by micklplus(m): 12:18pm On Mar 10, 2006
very sweet, very touchy and
yet,
very motivational
i just hope
the murderers
that abounds in manifold
will have a clear eyes
to behold the cries and agonies
of their baby yet unborn

it breaks my heart
having had to compete with over a million sperm
and came out victorious
it would have been sweet to
to have lost then
at least
it would not have been this painful

i will now have to face this death sentence
that has unfairly willed to me
just because of the irresponsility of
my i dont care mother
i now have to go back
to the earliest grave
in the whole wide world
Poems For ReviewBeautiful Morning by micklplus(op): 12:00pm On Mar 10, 2006
The light shower came in the middle of the night.
Weather was cool and fine.
The sleeps was like that of a baby that stays in the cradle all night
Morning appears but
No one is willing to rise
The grasses coiled up and
Danced to whistlings of the breeze
The habitual creatures were not yet extinct
They put to fore
Their Froggy voices
In celebration of a glorious morning.

The road to the stomach
is not even near
The food denied for
The weak and lazy
As man must wack
So also man must work
Though,
The morning is sweet but,
Man just must rise and walk
In order to have a better
Beautiful and glorious morning.

EducationRe: Poor Reading Culture Among Nigerians by micklplus(m): 11:19am On Mar 10, 2006
i love reading and i am still going to be reading and reading. i just read anything be it novel, bible, magazines, dictionary. infact, i read all the credit that comes to my boss desk. i just bring out some files and i will start studying and reading. i could just be online and be reading and reading. it is good to read because , you'll be so updated and current. you'll be so informed and sound. reading works on and with your brain

As a matter of testimony, when i got this my job, i only have OND but i was able to dust and conquer even people with Bsc just because i have read so many things and have so many information about financial analysis, cashflow analyis, maxwells, peter drukard. wole soyinka, mandela, which i was just introducing into the conversation at a very easy pace e.t.c .i had already read the basic things about the bank. i came out so successful that, the people on the panel did not believe that i havent got my first degree.

No matter what and how you want to look at it, it is very good to read because, it definately wiil broaden your mind and horizon.
Simply, reading is an Oasis.!
keep reading for real.

FashionRe: What Exactly is Indecent Dressing? by micklplus(m): 4:00pm On Mar 09, 2006
Indecent dressing is simply wearing what is not right to a particular occasion e.g
wearing a flowing agbada to a corporate office.
wearing red sox on a blue jeans and a yellow top.
wearing a dinner gown to a church service.
wearing bikini to a corporate setting e.t.c

just dress nice in attire that suit the occasion.

TravelRe: Lagos: The World's 5th Worst Place to Live In by micklplus(m): 11:08am On Mar 09, 2006
Shani:
So, in order to renounce what the West is brainwashing the rest of the world to think. What do you love most about Lagos? What is there to do? How easy is it for an outsider (I don't like the word foreigner smiley ) to find a job?
before i make my comment. i will have to remind us all once again that these people has never meant well for us, we should discard and dissuade whatever things they have to say about us.
Lagos definately is not the best but it cant be that bad compared to other cities(in the same class) of the world. i have been in lagos for abt 30yrs(all my life) and i am still hale and hearty ! i can go to anywhere i like at anytime with or without a car and nothing , i mean nothing can and will happen to me !lagos is fun and sweet ! like one guy rightly said above, the longer you stay in lagos the better for you. just like in england, U.S e.t.c its about adaptation !

i love the fun about lagos. i love the fact that, you cant afford to be lazy. you just must be a survivor in all things and at any point in time. Lagos drills and train you. And if you can live in lagos then, you can live in anywhere in the world ! isnt that sweet and Good ?

so many things to fix by our government which will improve and make our life definately better.

Outsider that has what it takes definately will find lagos cool and profitable. cos it will be so easy to get jobs and pulls as well as contracts. we could be hospitable even to a fault. the outsider just must have the right tools and right machineries then, all will fall into place

cheers cheesy
EducationRe: Secondary School Students Writing Exams for UNILAG Undergraduates! by micklplus(m): 9:57am On Mar 09, 2006
its a crazy thing, crazy approach and crazy and crazy,
can you just imagine ! so many things are really not right in our naija. imagine a serious student that scored between 250 and 285 over 400 being denied admission! and a rich student with barely 200 over 400 being given admission ! isnt that crazy. some parents are even paying for their wards to gain admission ! what do you expect those wards to do when they finally get to school? Definately, they are going to cheat, drink, smoke. join cult and do so many bad things like hiring a secondary school students to write exams for them. it is really a pathetic story ! the story isnt pleasant at all .
Is it a must that you go to school? some of the dullards could have done better if they have learnt a trade or do some other things that is not related to school.
maybe government has faults as well. the society and the environment is not just settled and okay for so many things
the truth of the matter is, so many things are being applied so that , situation can improve in our society.
we just need a positive attitude and we should try to be doing whatever we can do in our own little ways.
i simply pray for the betterment of our motherland

thats my kind of guy, when you are doing something and theres a kind of set back, just dont relaxe, think straight and get going.
i am happy for him and i pray he will definately succeed.
And about whether he will succeed without big bros, i think big bros is not the thing. the real thing is to have focus and know what you are doing and you'll finally get there.
Best of LUCK Eedris
life is about being cool , good and keep being great.

Music/RadioRe: Eedris Abdukareem or Ruggedman: Who Would You Prefer? by micklplus(m): 10:29am On Mar 02, 2006
when i think about so many things in this country, i always feel for nigerians and nigeria.
most people dont know much or rather anything about music and as such , they tend to say so many things about music in general.

Eedris has been able to invent his own stlye of RAP which i think he's giving him popularity and fame whether or whethernt anybody want to agree or not.
most people that has contibuted so far hasnt been fair when talking about Eedris. the guy has carved a niche for himself in the industry.

lets us quickly take a trip back memory lane,in the early 90s Do you know that, its a must for you to tongue twist before you could be a good rapper? do you know that, most rapper in nigeria today have had to tongue twist at a point in time so that you could get your flows well? do you know how much efforts they have to put in before a track could be released?

just listen and listen good to jaga jaga again and analyse the beat, swaps and even the flows. doesnt that make sense, that someone is trying to re direct us to how degenerated nigeria has been? trying to gear us as to what is happening in this country.
try and listen to mr lecturer and then conlude on your analysis.
have you listened to tribute to brenda fasie of south africa?
have you listened to that particular song with ghanian flavour?
have you listened to sengari kano. personally, maybe its because i am a music person, i believe all those songs are cool ,well mixed and packaged
try and listen to the instrumental of jaga jaga.

it is a pathetic story that after so much toiling and striving, one will now have to be treated like a second class citizen in your country in the face of a so called international artist.
you'll need all the permit in this world to be able to perform overseas. all this international artist feels they could just come to OUR country and do anyhow. which my guy was trying to fight against.
most people didnt get where eedris was coming from ! he wasnt attacking 50 but rather, the segregation and discrimination in his country.
imagine the shallowness of mind of the organiser. imagine the unprogressive attitude of the organisers. its really not a pleasant story at all.

Eedris has his own style which anybody has right to carve out !
though there is always rooms and enough space for improvement, i believe eedris is good is own way and with little touches here and there, the sky is just the stepping stone.
