Monlo:Good luck on your research, I suggest you use a 4:2:2 capable receiver. |
lexi28:Last time I enquired it was not available. Over a year ago. |
olaolu11:what I posted was a chinese made 3000w inverter on jumia website. dishtech See the attached pix the first is the printer port of 30V middle cable is the distributor laptop port 10-15V, third cable is my Laptop DC plug which is bigger than the distributor laptop connection port. seller even gave the charger and distributor manuals. The used used battery voltage is 13V when i checked, I will charge all when there is grid power and check after 24hours as you advised. I plan to use the used one for rechargeable fan if it fails the test. However it will affect my plan because my original intention was to use a 24V configuration (24V inverter) Is it safe to parallel the three on a 12v configuration? Secondly I heard some people are using old UPS and there are two UPS lying around 2KV and 650Va. Also read online that UPS draws more from the batteries than inverter. Gurus kindly advice

Dishtech:Pictures 1. Used battery 2. New batteries 3. Battery name plate 4. used battery and AC DC chargers (middle man suggested we test them, because it was noticed that some chargers were faulty.)

Dishtech:It is a Chinese inverter, I think nairaland just deleted the j u m i a website httpx://www j u m i a dot com dot ng/suoer-3000w-3kva-inverter-with-multiple-protection-18818593.html SUOER 3000w 3KVA Inverter With Multiple Protection DC 5V USB output 3000W DC 12V to AC 230V Low standby power cost Multiple safe protection High coversion effeciency(>70%) Universal output socket Intelligent cooling fan controlled by the workload This power inverter is extraordinarily designed for home use, which can convert DC 12V/24V of portable power supply to AC 110V/220V/230V and it works for almost all the household electrical resistive appliances |
Dishtech:What will you advice on this. https://www./suoer-3000-watts-solar-inverter-3000kva-31405507.html |
generationz:Bought them at a ridiculous price (N5K each). They were used for a project, after the project the IT guy presented a proposal for maintenance until they will be needed again, but management thought it wasn't necessary. So the IT guy decided to dispose of the batteries. I came to the party very late and got the four. The used one was to complete as the unused ones had already finished. If I knew the value would have pressed further and could have gotten used ones at 3K max. Now none available. I bought them to use with my laptop, but unfortunately the power port was bigger and didn't fit my laptop. The LiFePo4s were forgotten after I did some research online, read of issues with charging etc, and care. I only picked interest in making use of it again after seeing Dishtech's responded to your post, with the pictures. Where I live public power supply (days without power) is very poor so charging with that is ruled out. Imaging we are using 3K credit on prepaid meter for 2months (2 1-bedroom flats, 3 shops and even the water pump is connected to our meter) there is no bypass connections. Hope restored with solar charging. |
Dishtech:Thanks a lot. |
Dishtech:Thanks for your prompt response. Please note that the batteries are designed for laptop. It comes with an adapter for charging with a different connection, another positive and negative cable out with adapter connection laptop power socket and adapter with printer socket. I don't know if it is the same type as yours. |
Dishtech:Please, I have some questions, 1. Can this battery be connected in series and/or parallel? 2. Are you changing directly (i.e. not using the follow come charger) from solar panel to PWM CC to battery? 3. Please, can you spare some time to make a sketch diagram of the connection? I have one(1) used and three(3) new batteries which have not been utilized, and hope you will help me use it, especially the solar charging aspect. Thanks. |
Easy200:@Easy200, you have been on this forum for a long time and should have known that you cannot split signal from an LNB with a T-junction. When you switch on your decoder the decoder sends power to the LNB, two decoders sending power to the same LNB at the same time will kill the LNB. Also the decoder sends two voltages to the LNB, 18V for Horizontal and 13V for Vertical frequencies. If both of the decoders are on at the same time on different polarization, what do you think will happen? It can be done either of two ways. 1. Use Dual LNB, LNB with two ports. best option because it is the cheaper in Nigeria 2. use multiswitch which is more expensivem and I have never seen any shop selling multiswitches in Nigeria. |
Qatar-based broadcaster beIN has launched a $1 billion claim against broadcasters in Saudi Arabia, alleging that they have been illegally re-transmitting a large amount of BeIN’s sports content. The small Gulf state itself is also asking the World Trade Organization to address intellectual property violation allegations against its much larger neighbor. At the center of both actions is BeoutQ, an illegal broadcasting operation that is widely believe to be based in Saudi Arabia. These moves were announced by beIN and by Qatar’s ministry of economy and commerce on Monday, according to AFP. Though the IP violation action would be heard at the WTO, the court where the compensation claim might be heard hasn’t been confirmed. Officials in Saudi Arabia have repeatedly denied any connection to BeoutQ. At this summer’s World Cup in Russia, FIFA condemned BeoutQ for illegally streaming soccer content. The broadcasting operation has also been accused of streaming Premier League and Ligue 1 games, Formula 1 races, and tennis matches, among content from a diverse range of sports. According to Reuters, Saudi Arabia seized 12,000 pirating devices in June, but so far BeoutQ has survived any attempts to shut it down. hxxps://www. sporttechie. com/qatars-bein-sports-goes-all-out-against-saudi-pirate-broadcaster/ hxxps://sports. yahoo. com/qatars-bein-demands-1-bln-compensation-saudi-piracy-140545124--sow.html ![]() |

ulitox:@mecussey, you raised some salients points which people already in a frenzy are against. Champion TV came and was broadcasting live matches - what happened? DSTV have the EPL satellite broadcast rights over sub-sahara Africa, which includes Nigeria. The only way they can broadcast the Bein Sports channels is through IPTV, which DSTV cannot stop. Remember CTL won DSTV in a rights infringement dispute, because they are broadcasting on Terrestrial which DSTV did not have exclusive right. Decoder with 500gb HDD, dish with LNB, etc at 5K is not adding up Also like you mentioned they need BUC for two way communication, except they want to use tooway technology where the request is made through a 2G/3G/4G and response received via satellite. Even this is still more than N3K in Europe where it is being used. The trick in Nigeria is give people an appetizer and after they are hooked, unveil additional conditions (cost). It is a very common thing in Nigeria as there is no stringent consumer protection and wrong advert penalties as being obtained in better organised countries. Almost all businesses (including MNC) operating in Nigeria indulge in shady practices. What the mobile networks are doing in Nigeria they cant try it in many countries without being penalized or even shutdown. In fact even penalties alone will shut them down. Is it not Nigeria where you pay to watch NTA (run by tax payers money) via satellite? In South Africa the SABCs are free to air, you cant charge monthly that's why you have to Openview service where people pay just for the decoders. There is a Free To View service and BBC is free on satellite to the British citizens living in Britain. In my opinion, they may increase the monthly charge gradually over time, just like Startimes did. |
Lstar4real:Thanks, balance, including transport within Nigeria sent as agreed. I will send the delivery add. |

hello GeorgeD1 I have tried to call you several times without success. A colleague just purchased the 100 liters solar water heater after I convinced him it is cheaper in the long run. We went to his house to do some survey, but I don't have the experience to advice him on the best possible position and installation. My purpose of calling was for you to help link him to the plumber who installed yours to do the installation. Please help oh, before he feels I gave him a wrong investment advice. |
Cuteamigo1:Airtel Weekend plan can only be used during the weekend from 12:00AM Friday midnight to 12:00Am Sunday midnight. It is not a cheat but you can subscribe once daily N100/1024MB Start from Monday to subscribe, accumulate and use by weekend. Code *474*1# If you activate on Monday validity is 7 days which expires Sunday, when you activate another on Tuesday, you get 2GB which will expire on Monday, etc. Note that you can not use the data on Monday or Tuesday even if you are still within the validity period. But you can quickly rollover by subscribing before the expiration of the validity period. Example, if you subscribed on Saturday and validity expiration is Friday with some remaining MB, subscribing N100 on Friday before expiration gives you 1GB plus the remaining MB or GB and extends you validity another 7 days. ![]() |
Fhowe:You are definitely correct. Nigeria is in big problem with students who reason this way. Whoever believes a robber will steal a phone and use his picture to replace the owners dp on any social media account is worst than an illiterate. This country is really in a bigger problem than imagined. |
admin and supermods, Kindly look into the issue with your bot as I have been banned twice in the last two days for responding to a post on the Nairaland Forum / Entertainment / TV/Movies / Satellite TV Technology / Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread/ CC: Seun, lalasticlala |
The government should look into this estimated bill without power issue before people start murdering officials. I don't know why the Nigerian government can never be proactive, from the Executive to Legislature. |
