That is true, and things were cheaper then. I remember how expired milks and sardines were destroyed. Those who lived in PHC then will remember the refuse dump at Elechi Beach road.

some peeps used to come and pick the milks & sardines, reselling them at cheaper rates to unsuspecting customers. So what the government normally did was to bring a bulldozer and crush the items (still in cartons).

The 1 naira that was printed same time with the 50 Kobo note posted by stagger is not here. The one naira above was issued by CBN in 1979.

When i was in primary school and you go to school with 50 kobo, your case will be reported to the headmaster/mistress. The headmaster/mistress will ask you parents to come and explain if they gave you the 50 kobo.

With 10kobo you be ajebota be dat, and with 5kobo u go eat rice & meat, and still get change for 1 ice cream.

u are correct, the dish is actually missing one part, but it can be fabricated. The only problem is I have to go back to class for focal point calculation.

The LNB arm doesn't connect to the back like 90cm dishes but it is screwed to the edge of the dish. You can see a sample of the complete assembled dish below.

I have the same brand, it sure has a sim slot, but not the module. I removed the module from a dead Bigpond wireless router and installed it in the laptop. You can try same. Check computer village for the router.

You can use your 65cm dish for Astra and W4/7. for more info see this thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-519756.0.html Then you can use the 90cm to receive W3A and Sirius4, that is a total of four satellites (but currently the W3A signal has reduced drastically so it may be difficult to receive both on the same dish as a newbie. There is no harm in trial.

above applies to you to get W4/7 use this TP 12130 H 27500 to track (remember to use Center LNB for W4/7 - which is DSTV position, look around you for any DSTV dish and try fixing your dish the same direction and angle, then follow the instructions on https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-519756.0.html to add the second lnb and track with 12551 V 19531 for W3A use 12728 V 30000 but it is better to use 12605 V 29950 for sirius and then move your dish a little downwards and to your right side standing in front of the dish. at your location you should be able to use on dish for W6, W4/7 & Astra 2B.

Note that after getting W4/7, W3A is moving left wards facing the dish and raising it, about 60degs from DSTV position.

You should get an MPEG4 decoder possibly and HD decoder. Everybody is switching over to DVB-S2, MPEG4 format. I will advise anybody investing in Satellite decoder to forget about DVB-S MPEG2
