We all have spiritual connections with our children and those who meditate and know how to listen to their inner being, can feel this. Asides from the timing of her pregnancy, and the striking resemblance she has of my family, i have a strong connection with her little girl. |
mrksquare:What makes you think Sim will lose the governorship election? |
SyrusdeHansome:Guy, we all make mistakes. I really loved the lady and was hoping she would chose me. They weren't engaged at the time. |
ictplotter:I think it's stupidity for Atiku to decamp and come back to pdp and not only struggle for power, but reject a person like Wike who's not only been there all the while, but has been one of the biggest drivers in pdp all the while. They say desperate times, desperate measures. Things went abnormal, crazy, unjust, disgraceful and shocking. It does demand really desperate measures to match it....and that's why you have the G-5. Pdp have to know that there are consequences when they don't keep to agreement. Let them win without the G-5 let's see. |
zicoraads:It's not about his reaction to the G-5 threat than the outcome of their actions. What happens if he calls them ordinary miscreants only to lose the election to Tinubu by some margin? People may begin to wonder what would've happened of he had made peace with Wike and moved on United. |
Thank you. |
Dimples2022:If I tell my wife this...she will be upset with me. If it turns out Rita's baby is my daughter, I'm afraid she may leave me. But this all happened before I met her. |
GboyegaD:Ok, I know the possibility of the baby being her husband's and I have considered it. What makes the chances slim is that he'd travelled throughout the entire month of October, and in October, from my knowledge we had the highest number of sexual activity. He only came back early November, proposed to her and got married to her in December. Coupled with the fact that the baby looks like me and my family and also has similar behavior with my daughter. I know that a DNA test should be the only way to reveal the truth, but everything points the fact that she's my daughter. |
Foodqueen:Look, i love Angel. When i look at her, I realize that sometimes Gods blessings are different from what we had wanted, but it is the best. i havent cheated on her since i married her. |
Mindlog:Bro, this is my problem. I could've chosen to be silent about it, many people don't make anything out of things like these, but I'll feel like a failure if that little girls life is messed up while I'm alive. |
JONNYSPUTE:I think to a great degree you do understand my situation. I feel so destroyed knowing she's my daughter and I can't care for her or protect her. I can't play a fatherly role to her. One thing Rita complained about her boyfriend then was that he doesn't have the time for her she needs....when I watch her WhatsApp status, I see that he's almost never present cos of work. |
meobizy:Look at the story, the timeline...it's true and its what has happened to me. The more I see that little girl, the more I see I'm the father. It's what I'm dealing with right now. Not every story you find hard to believe in untrue. I've had this bad feeling for months since I saw the little girls pictures, I just decided to post it today to know what people will advise. |
Cutehector:Obi may win the election, but you will still wake up with your problems staring you in the face. Better look for happiness somewhere else than hinge it on man. |
advanceDNA:So the easier thing to do is forget about my daughter? |
immanuelsize:And forget about my daughter? |
Richy4:Does that mean that I would forget about my daughter, my flesh and blood and let her be with a man who is not her father? |
I'm a married man, been married for 3 years. I'm happy in marriage with a daughter who is a year and 6 months old. Before I met my wife in August of 2018, i was in love with Rita, a beautiful and intelligent lady. I'd known her for some years but I'd never been free to pursue a relationship with her, I was engaged to another, but it didn't work out. So, by April 2018, I broke up with my fiancee. I wasn't so affected by the break up cos at that time I had understood it wouldn't have worked out between us. After the break up, i ran into Rita and we hung out. I realised to my excitement that she was sweeter than I imagined. She was a beautiful soul and we kinda fit hand in glove. The problem was, she had a boyfriend and she wanted so much to end up with him. Now, she would prefer me to him in many aspects, but he was rich and I was, well, just there. That didn't stop her from giving herself to me. We made sweet love many times, mostly at my place. I was so in love cos for the first time I met a woman who loved love making as much as I did. Everytime, we had s*x raw. She was on daily pills. We would gist after making love and get aroused again and go on and on. I felt jealous each time her boyfriend would come to town and she has to go visit him. Once she consoled me by saying when she has sex with him, she's thinking about me. The thought of her being with him broke my heart, but she says to me "just enjoy all this while it lasts". This carried on until August, at this time I realised I have to look for a girlfriend, someone I would get married to. So one time she came to my place, after we had s*x, I told her about some girls I planned to approach. She picked one for me her name was Angel. She said I should try that one. (Angel is my wife now). So I got to know Angel, asked her out and she said yes. During the early part of my relationship with Angel, Rita and I were still fu*king. Once, we lodged in a hotel and slept over, the s*x was mad, so sweet, at the time, I hadn't had it that sweet before. After then we would make love only twice before her boyfriend proposed to her suddenly. Even if I was determined to pursue the relationship with Angel, I was jealous she was engaged. But a week or two before the engagement I noticed Rita was unhappy and frustrated and I asked, but she waved it off. She got married on December 22, 2018 and I became more serious with Angel and got married to her in August of 2019. Rita gave birth to a baby girl in July 4, 2019. This left me thinking, she was pregnant before she got married?. We hardly talk these days because Angel is a jealous wife. She doesn't like me to keep in touch with my female friends. So Rita and I talk sparsely. The thing that convinces me even more that her baby is mine is that, my daughter who is 1 year 6 months, she was born 15th of July 2021 looks exactly like Rita's daughter born 4th of July 2019. Both are carbon copies of my mum and younger sister. I think she knows and has refused to tell me. But why would she hide it from me? I don't even know what to do with this knowledge. This is my story. What do you guys think? |
My uncle who has lived in the UK for more than 33 years says people can change careers by obtaining degrees and become Professors in any area they want. Why should Nigeria be different? |
What I realized is that most very practical and specialized disciplines require you to have a grassroot-level knowledge in order to be qualified to lecture. They don't want a half baked jump-across lecturer. |
Richy4:I haven't tried that yet. Thanks for your encouragement. I will not stop sending applications. |
Richy4:I've applied in 4 institutions already and haven't been called. They haven't said it's because of my maths background, but the rejection is making me think it may be because of that. I have 6 papers and an experience as a Graduate research assistant. So I'm qualified, but I don't know why I haven't been contacted. |
yomi007k:I think it's pointless if there's really a discrepancy because of my maths background. I say this because, nearly all disciplines are now quantitative. Everyone has to apply mathematics and statistics in research. They all have to learn research methods that apply statistics. So a mathematian should fit in to many disciplines. In case, I bridged the gap with my PGD, although many would argue that a PGD bridges the gap when someone branches out of their subject area. Then I went further until my Doctorate. I should have an edge in research with my maths background. |
merieam16:I don't love it....but I love it's application in geography. |
yomi007k:I love Geography more...I just didn't know it would be a big issue. When I got the admission I was going to turn it down and start all over with jamb...but my dad advised me to just do it. |
LordIsaac:I can understand that one. He has studied until Masters, if he leaves his area entirely when studying his phD it adds little or no value to what he has already built. |
Greetings all. It's my pleasure sharing the same space with you all. Can I get a lecturer job in the universities in Nigeria if I have a PGD, MSc and PhD in the area I'm applying for the job but a BSc in another area?. Say for instance, I have a BSc in Mathematics n Statistics, a PGD in Geography n Environmental Management, an MSc in Environmental Management and a PhD in Geomorphology. I've asked some people, but there seem to be divided opinions. I've also applied and I've not gotten anything positive, I don't know, but I think the first degree is throwing a spanner into my works. I know there are people here who are academics in the university or they know what applies in the universities in Nigeria. Please I need to know what the standard is. Mods please help me push to front page, pasisei. |
Wike get mind and i like him. Anything he does in support for the Niger Delta is acceptable by me. Celestine Omehia is seeking relevance by dancing with Atiku against his helper Wike. If Atiku loses the election and PDP wins Rivers State, Omehia would be in deep shit. He could go as the sorriest loser in Rivers politics |
tuoyoojo:Look! If the people (ethnic groups, clans, communities, families) of the south had been consulted and agreed to being in a country called Nigeria, this would not have happened. Here in the south, we believe the oil belongs to us. We are not wrong for thinking like this because the oil is found in our ancestral land. We think it is oil theft, when government explore oil and use it to develop Nigeria, while bribing our leaders to keep the people quiet. |
Start the bank job, very likely it will pay more than the government job. If they start you as a marketer, it will be excellent...in that case you can work in the government (as this would not require all your time as the bank job) and keep your bank job as a marketer. In the event they change your position in the bank to maybe say, Teller. You have to quit the bank job, but before then you must've saved up something from the bank job. |
Islandlady:Its not a red flag. Please love that man, he is a very cautious person and he doesnt want you guys to go begging in the middle of the month. I do it with my girlfriend, only she hasnt found out and probably wont find out. The idea for him doing that is this: He wants to be able to call the shots when the money finishes. No man wants to be in that situation where his woman and himself are stranded without any help. He also has to do it because he's noticed that she's not as conservative as he would want her to be, especially considering his income, so he still wants to have some money left when she thinks its finished. That helps the situation. |
StilmaVsBorn2w:I'm not in support of men who are clueless and weak...they allow the woman be the man of the house, but i want to point out that there could be more to the story. I say this because i have seen different families and how they could differ due to the personalities of the couples involved. On this note, imagine if in this story, both husband (his elder brother) and wife are career people and they have 1 or 2 small kids and they don't have a house help. Maybe wife just got pregnant. Wife comes back from work, does her house-keeping and kitchen stuff...many wives in her circumstance need assistance. Maybe she cooking and wants to buy stuff from the provision shop, which is just a few steps from their house and the husband isnt doing anything at the time...she might have also asked politely...why can't he help out? i'm just telling you how it may have happened and how the OP may not have gotten all the details. I do also think that African civilized society has gotten past that point where the men heaps all the house work on the woman. Some assistance is needed. |
RepoMan007:How can i like your post twice? The economic policies of Nigeria are just appalling. Oil is the reason why the Government has refused to restructure. Restructuring wouldve solved theses economic issues. I think that the northern elites are oil-crazy, and this is reflected in the thinking of the average northerner. They are the reason why Nigeria has been solely dependent on oil. Their idea i think is that if we restructure, they will be the losers. Restructuring instead helps the states or regions look inwards, manage their resources efficiently and contribute to the center. The solution to Nigeria's economic problems is not rocket science, but some people have decided to hold the entire nation down, preventing others from progressing. |
