Thank God, I found it and handed it to her.
V.O: she looked at it briefly and said ok.
She then asked for my sponsor and I told her dad.
V.O: what does he do
Na so I start dey misyearn. Cos na after I answered dat similar question in abuja d v.o delayed me.
I said he has his oil field
She said oil field? I said yes. He markets diesel and kerosine. People has trucks under his care. So day in day out, he returns their profits accordinly.
She said ok.
She then ask what I wil do for my dad in return?
I said I wd build a solar panel for him. She said ok.
After d interview, I was like, evrything I dey answer no make sense sha.
She then asked for his financial docs.
Na so I start to dey look for am again,e don mix with other docs come dey resemble my own financial docs. Lol. Don't mind me jare,
So I gave her, she checked it and was looking up at the wall. At dat point I was like, if dem don look wall, e wan happen be that
Next thing I heard was, I am approving......I no hear d remaining again.
She passed d slip, I grabbed it. I comot. It was raining outside but I just dey waka dey go. E be like dream, I collected my fones frm d policeman, I called my dad and I asked him to call me back maybe I go wake up from dream. i no knw road, but I just dey goo. Cos I still no believe. Lol.

On my last two ds-160, l lied that l dont have any immediate relative in US, but my brother is schooling and my sister is american citizen. I only did that to increase my chances of getting d visa. I want to know my chances of getting the visa this time if l put it that l have relatives in US and l want to knw if this wont cause another denial cos l wanna get it right this time....pls l need people's opinion abt this...

Why did u lie that u don't have relatives in the US. One thing we have not realised is that we have a better chance of visa approval when we have families or relatives in the US. (If LEGIT).
If your application profile and ur response during interview was good, then u have deduced urself that the lie is what is causing ur denial.
When I went for my interview in abuja, people who had relatives in the US got approvals, they were just asked few questions and I observed the vo's just wanted consistency in their response.
Fact is, I even started thinking it is better to include answer yes when answering the 'do u have relatives in d US' on d ds160. At least most of us have one relative or the other. This is my own opinion.
The fact that your sister is even american citizen makes it good. A guy, an american citizen was with his mum during my interview, he was just feeling cool and smiling at the chinko. He didn't move close o, just standind feets away.
Make ammendments. Be prepared to defend d changes. Wish u success

I guess u didn't try to cancel early enough. For not appearing, the opportunity is just once. You should be able to schedule another appointment for free. Try to do that on ur appointment portal and see what response it brings.

Pls I dont really understand what she mean by you have not convince me? Is it about my family or about my sponsors? She dont even ask for GRE or TOEFL.

Reapply sharp sharp. If I were you;
When a v.o asks u if u are going with them. You say, for a start u need to concentrate, but they will be visitng you during d holidays.
The next question u might hear is who will be sponsoring them,
Say yourself. (A 12yrs manager) I believe you should have something bouyant to show for that.
You should be able to define your roles in line with ur field of work man.

1. Don't take photocpies, carry your originals.
2. Respond to questions closely in line with what your school puts.

Your interview went well. You have been there and I believe now you should have made a lot of improvement. You should know where questions can come from if you do a self assessment of your profile, and you should know the best answers to give. If a v.o consults his/her colleague, that means you have tried. Show strong capability of sponsor and strong ties to your home. God help you.

If you are already having one degree and are applying for another Bsc
you will find it very difficult to convince VO to give you visa.

You must apply for higher qualification and get accepted for that, then, apply for visa.

Fact. Don't fight it. You need to start looking for a reasonable response to this. God help u.

I got to know about my sch thru my sister who is also a student there and studying the same course (undergrad.), pls advice me on what to say when the VO asks 'how did u know about the sch?' shld i tell them abt my sis or shld i mention another source? pls reply.

1. Is dis sister your blood sister for real?
2. Is she legit? I mean, she is in d school where she claimed she was going. Like her application i20 was ajah but now in ur own school
3. If she is ur blood sister; is ur sponsor still d same?
Why I am asking u these questions is because, once u mention ur sister and she asks for her name, she might just verify her data with yours

StarTrek222: House - please a question on scheduling interviews. Is is possible that earlier dates show up as available after some time. Today 22nd- 25th July dates were available, does anyone one know if earlier dates become available when people cancel appointments? I need a date in early July, any ideas ?

My school does not start till end August, but I plan to travel out for work from mid July to mid August...

Yes, earlier dates can show up. But remember, it is a risk. When I booked, earlier dates showed up days after. God help u.

valentijay: Hey peeps. My I-20 arrived today only for me to detect that there is an error in the sponsorship. Personal funds was filled for me instead of funds from father. My interview is next week. It is too late to request for a new I-20. What do you suggest that i do? Someone said I should tell the school to send a mail that I can print and take to the embassy stating that it was an error from them. Others said I should reschedule. Pls help out a brother here

Heyaa, sorry. Get in touch with ur school immediately to make the correction. Today is friday and ur interview is next week, u should also be expecting ur i20 by thursday or friday even with dhl or fedex. Don't go with an e mail to d embassy. Reschedule. God help u.

I said I did that because the company was really struggling to survive because they were spending so much on power generation to sustain production in d company.(A german company in lagos)
Then I said I went back for my hnd in physics to broaden my knowledge of science and finished 2010.
Then I told her I got employed with xoxo company after graduation and I will be going for my study leave.(Na USA company in niger o)
