Of course our knowledge of truth is limited, it's unfortunately so as you have pointed out, it causes problems. Which is why I think we should acknowledge when we are going off on incomplete knowledge which we should call belief. Even the courts know that they are not arbiters of truth, they are arbiters of facts.

Science has never claimed to establish absolute truth, that's something people mistake. What science does is present our best interpretation of the world around us which is most times simplified for our own perceptions and understandings.

The 3rd definition of truth is the generally accepted meaning when speaking in a group. However I do acknowledge the other usages, I don't see those as truth though, I think of them as beliefs. Beliefs may be true or false but it is the 3 definition that provides proper context for those I consider beliefs.

This can't be disputed globally no matter what any critic want to say! Isaiah 54:17
