omonnakoda: The most ignorant are those who are oblivious of their plight and think they know everything, Puffed up with self indulgent speciousness Those translations are totallyoff Nothing to do with white folk. What is African stupidity? Why the self loathing there are no peoples that don't have these.None.That you don't understand them doesn't justify your using them as a canvas to project your low self esteem? It is really funny how the most ignorant have the most certainty about their bizarre assertions. Proceed from a place of intellectual curiosity and you will learn. There is nothing magical about a sculpture. It does not have the power to prevent colonisation any more than a painting or a poetry. They are forms of communication eternally, to whom it may concern, from one evolved mind to another. They are not for every one. Pearls are not for swine Dieties I think you read that. These are the sources of African superstitions and magical powers. How have benefited blacks? Which of them is being recognized globally? Funny enough, the majority of these dieties are sought after by ' shithole people of black descent. This is the reason for slavery, colonization, dehumanization, confusion of black race. Blacks put their trusts in these vanities and have bee always the dreg of human existence. Bro, if you are of Christian faith, read Isa. 19, 20. and see the project about blacks and see the pitiable state of black race. You will notice all these have come true and will weep for black race. In my own personal research, a bout black race, I began to read all manners of things about why is Africans are poor and helpless. I found out that the main reason is idolatry and magic and superstition. You have right to your opinion as I do. The dieties that couldn't save their worshiper s and were carried away with them are now on display. For what reason, to show how useless those effigies were when they were being carried away to Europe for display y. What do we gain from that? Nothing. An average black man would rather do charms, take oaths in ramshackle shrines than investing in expertise but do rituals and worship stupid dieties. Please,Just stay with your opinion. EC |

They don't see those effigies as dieties worthy of any any worship but stupidity of African vanities that blinded their minds and make blacks a little, if any, better than chimpanzees.
Where were those dieties when Oyinbos came with a superior God and guns? They colonized igbos like the rest of Africans. They now have a display of African stupidity. Those dieties have been in museums without any attention, they are powerless.
Even funny Yorubas have ridiculous names that show that shows that African dieties are inferior to Oyibos, e.g.
Oguntoyin or Fatoyinbo tha Ogun of iron and war is almost potent as Oyinbo or Ifa, the God |

Lafiyasabiat: The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Samsung Electronics Africa, Mr. Sung Yoon, on Thursday disclosed that manufacturing a mobile phone required about 400 different components, none of which is available in Nigeria.
Speaking during an interactive session with journalists in Lagos, he stated that another reasons Samsung Electronics could not establish a manufacturing plant in Nigeria is because the company’s market share in the country is not big enough.
Yoon pointed out that though Samsung was the leading consumer electronics company in Nigeria, its share of the Nigerian market is smaller to South Africa’s.
He said that the company’s smartphones market size in South Africa is 80 per cent, but is lower in Nigeria...

Reelectbuhari: let's just allow them go
let igbos go
they want to leave nigeria let them go No way! They betrayed the trust reposited in the by northerners when they formed a unity government and Awolowo chose opposition. By Igbo sense, they wanted to outsmart their northern truthful friend, killed Tafawa Balewa, Ladoke Akintola, allowed Zik to escape Following this, northerners can never trust Igbo. They have made themselves endangered species. This led to civil war. They wanted Awo to support them against their northern friend. He declined, that has become Awo' s unpardonable sin. They torment bothAwo and Yoruba race on media. Even now, Igbo's are known for dubious dealings. They want to go. Na lie. If any part has any moral right to quit Nigeria, it should be any other tribes not Igbo's. Useless people.. |

Oricha62: MIRACLES OF THE QURAN
Fourteen centuries ago, God sent down the Qur'an to mankind as a book of guidance. He called upon people to be guided to the truth by adhering to this book. From the day of its revelation to the day of judgement, this last divine book will remain the sole guide for humanity.
The matchless style of the Qur'an and the superior wisdom in it are definite evidence that it is the word of God. In addition, the Qur'an has many miraculous attributes proving that it is a revelation from God. One of these attributes is the fact that a number of scientific truths that we have only been able to uncover by the technology of the 20th century were stated in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago.
However, the Qur'an is not a book of science, it is a book of Signs! Many scientific facts that are expressed in an extremely concise and profound manner in its verses have only been discovered with the technology of the 20th century. These facts could not have been known at the time of the Qur'an's revelation, and this is still more proof that the Qur'an is the word of God.
In order to understand the scientific miracle of the Qur'an, we must first take a look at the level of science at the time when this holy book was revealed.
In the 7th century, when the Qur'an was revealed, Arab society had many superstitious and groundless beliefs where scientific issues were concerned. Lacking the technology to examine the universe and nature, these early Arabs believed in legends inherited from past generations. They supposed, for example, that mountains supported the sky above. They believed that the earth was flat and that there were high mountains at its both ends. It was thought that these mountains were pillars that kept the vault of heaven high above.
However all these superstitious beliefs of Arab society were eliminated with the Qur'an. In Sura Sad, verse 2, it was said: "God is He who raised up the heavens without any support..."(The Qur'an, 38:2). This verse invalidated the belief that the sky remains above because of the mountains. In many other subjects, important facts were revealed at a time when no one could have known them. The Qur'an, which was revealed at a time when people knew very little about astronomy, physics, or biology, contains key facts on a variety of subjects such as the creation of the universe, the creation of the human being, the structure of the atmosphere, and the delicate balances that make life on earth possible. Substantiate your claims |

Don't be too harsh on yourself. Take life easy. Life itself is in phases.
If you're a Christian you suppose to have read the advice of the Lord,, ' by worry you cannot add a cubit to your height.'
I was in your shoes before. Attached to a neurosurgeon in UCH. Then counselled, and after getting married, things changed. .. My pastor always warned me then not to make myself a nervous wreckage. So I warn you now.
Count t your blessings
Thank God any time you want go feel bad.
During my own, I MADE a bead for counting thank you Jesus (just to concentrate not a rule). I say it about a thousand times at a goal, then gradually I came out of it.
Now I am happy. Married at 35, to a beautiful woman with lovely children.
Gradually my dreams are unfolding. ...
You dreams will surely come true. |

Paulpeterparker: I really hate to see pastor riding on private jets while the poor are suffering. So i have decided to start paying my tithe's to the poor. Am i right? Or am making a very big mistake. You can pay your tithe to the poor, that won't be tithe but alms. If your decision is based on hatred for pastors and jets, you are not convinced of what you want to do. As wrongly accused by many, none of the pastors in Nigeria bought any jets with tithes. We hear how people bought, raised money to give correct their pastors jets. When I read certain threads on nairaland, I see how mean and unreasonable some are. Church is an organization built up by individuals with a lot of work, perseverance, fasting, giving etc. They raised money, some of these mega churches have robust accounting and audit departments, more efficient that those of any Nigerian governments at any level. In any case, without accountability, the churches won't grow at all. Churches are more difficult to grow than any other organization being a voluntary organization. The Church is not to be responsible for the welfare of citizens, but to her workers. Even, in the days when tithing was instituted, the was tax also. Tithe for Levite's, tax for government projects and welfare for citizens.. The question is if government has failed in its duty, has church failed in hers? Most schools in Nigeria are built by churches, their names bear witness. Many have orphanage homes, rehabilitation centres, provide portable water to communities etc. In advanced countries where governments do their responsibilities no one cares about church affairs.. So, if you take tithing as a biblical doctrine, get down to the Bible, read it, understand it, pay as prescribed or do not pay at all. |
