Thieves in govt that are now taxing the transfer (movement) of capital (funds).

A similar thing was introduced in Ghana but the enlightened public, opposition parties and CSO kicked against it and it was scrapped when a new party took over govt.

Long before before Venezuela issue, Dangote had announced and published in news papers several months ago that he would be distributing petrol to filling stations free of charge across the nation.
Venezuela is not going to release its oil to US just like that. It is a sovereign country and Maduro alone does not make decisions for the whole country. This crisis may even lead to increase in oil price if care is not taken. Iran crisis is also there.

The first half of this year 2026 will be bullish due to political patronage from election campaign funds, new capital raise by insurance, banks, Dangote Refinery, Oando, etc. and the bull would continue up to the latter parts of the year.. There could be some bearish months getting near to election time i.e. first quarter of 2027. If everything goes peaceful and successful in the election, there would be massive bull throughout 2027, all things being equal.
