Zagee: That stock is at the mercy of big Uncle Wale. Technically, there's two walls at 75 and 80. It will take only uncle to break that barrier. What is his shareholding % again? His shareholding (with directors, co-promoters) in Oando was about 70% or more but it will be reduced with the share redistribution exercise. It may still be reduced further if he does not take a chunk of the shares in the new public offer and debt-equity conversion |

If you're going to be doing a jump in and jump out within a week avoid them. I don't know if it has changed(don't intend to find out either), but they are my go-to for long term holds and any other form of investment. Ok, thanks. Seems they are more versed in the bond and TB market |

ndept: The bolded seems an unfair statement to people here. There are so many businesses out there that many people are doing and making fortunes, that they will not want you to know about it, probably because they may not want you to be as rich as they are. But reverse is the case here. The fact that someone see value in a stock and draw the attention of others to it after buying, simply mean that the person is not greedy but want you to also benefit from the largesse.
Besides, the information that many dishes out here can rarely be seen, even from those that collects money to dish out stock recommendation to you. Let us not discourage people from doing their best to enrich others on this platform with our utterances please. Thank you for this. I wonder why people don't complain about newspapers and capital market analysts that do analyses and give recommendations on various stocks in the market. Are they also doing ''marketing'' for the stocks.? We (Nigerians in general) seem to have developed the habit of suspecting everybody of some potential sinister intentions and not trusting anybody in anything because of the inherent corruption, insincerity, crass ignorance, conspiracy theories, rumour mongering, envy, jealousy, fallacious beliefs, unfounded suspicions etc. |

Bulldozer90: That's false. He started before Pete edochie but doesn't mind using him as a success parameter. Nollywood is an industry. When you talk about the first nollywood movie, you talk about it in commercial sense which Living in bondage made. This is the reason you don't know about any other home videos made prior to that. There were some movies in the East before living in bondage. Those ones are not considered. It's always these people from the west that measures d*ck. Never allow bigots who think nothing except tribalism, whose incompetence collapsed Netflix and Amazon prime, revise movie making history for us. There had been several Yoruba home movies before Living in Bondage but they were the very popular one because they were mostly in the local language. Living in bondage was more elitist and spread faster because it was in English language and had more commercial success. |

Forkthiefnubu: Yes the Yorubas were the pioneer of movie making in Nigerian but the morden movie industry known as nollywood is a purely a product of Igbo ingenuity and marginalization, nollywood was created by the igbos but right now with the state surreptitious back and better education the Yorubas have taken it over again which is not a bad thing Movie production is movie production. Film making started much earlier from WNTV Ibadan, the first television station in Nigeria and Africa Every creation or invention gets improvements or innovations along the line, so you cannot come in and improve something that had been in existence much earlier on and then claim to be the creator or pioneer! |

tommy589: I don't want to respond to you initially when you disputed the 1969 deportation. But I will be doing you a disservice if I fail to correct you this time. Where did you see me give justification to Nigerians robbing in Ghana? Are you telling me you know more about Ghana that i lived before? My late parents helped in Relocating 2 deportees from Bar Beach, where a good number helpless deportees found sanctuary, having lost touch with their Nigerian families and ancestral roots. Be limiting your response to the facts you have. If you did experience or hear of Ghanaians engaged in armed robbery in Nigeria, ask your seniors, particularly the newspapers reading ones if Ghanaians were not regulars on the pages of Nigerian Newspapers for armed robbery It is a lie! Ghanaians were never regulars on the pages of Nigerian newspapers for armed robbery. They did not even have armed robbery in Ghana until Nigerians brought the vice into Ghana. A lot Ghanaian women were into for prostitution while their men were into menial jobs like shoe maker, mobile tailors etc. They were never into armed robbery. Stop the lies! |

Whether illiquid stocks are desirable or not depends on the investment strategy/goals of those buying/selling. The so called illiquid stocks may not be a problem for people who are only interested in preserving value and still earning consistent, reasonable dividends. A good example is Seplat. |

DomPerignon: In 1969, Ghana expelled about 190,000 foreigners out of which 150k were ethnic Yorubas who had been in Ghana for decades prior .
The reason for Ghana expelling foreigners was because the Yoruba settlers had come to dominate the cocoa industry to which it was to their credit in the first place that Ghana had a cocoa sector to begin with.
The Ghanian government wanted to take back the profitable cocoa plantations that were initially cultivated and tendered by Yoruba expat farmers. It had nothing to do with crime but was a land grab to redistribute cocoa farms to the indigenes.
The Ghanians were also wary of the potential of Ibos flocking to their country following the end of the civil war . Ghana began noticing a surge in Ibos relocating to their country after the war ended as Ibos refused to return back to the north which was the largest host prior to the war. Ibos were also considered persona non gratia in the SS which served as the second largest host of Ibos after the north prior to the civil war.
Ghana decided to introduce strict immigration laws to curb Ibos flocking to their country .
This then saw to Ibos moving to settle in the SW especially Lagos
All in all, Ghana expelling Nigerians of SW origin so as to collect their cocoa farms and redistribute it to their citizens is one of the reasons Ibos are dragging Lagos with Yorubas today. If that policy had not been implemented , Ibos would have left to Ghana and by now dragging it with Ghanians . This your post has some misrepresentation of facts. It is true that Ghana evicted foreigners in 1969, but it was not targeted at Nigerians, although Yoruba people were the most affected and they were virtually 95% of Nigerians in Ghana at that time. The first president of Ghana (Nkrumah) had made policies that granted automatic citizenship to everybody living in Ghana at the independence day of Macrh6, 1957. This attracted many more family members and relatives to join those foreigners who had been living in country. But another govt felt the number of foreigners in the country was too many and were indirectly affecting the economy, hence the decision to evict them. The Yoruba were known for being hard-working, industrious and were present in all sectors as farmers, traders, transporters, teachers in schools, nurses, doctors, public servants in ministries etc. For instance, the Mokola market in Accra was named by/after the Yoruba traders. |

tommy589: Between late 70s to early 80s they were the raves. Hussle by day rob at night It is a lie! Ghanaians have never been known for armed robbery in Nigeria. If you say petty thieves in the market or house-help stealing from their bosses at home, I can agree. Their ladies were known more for prostitution. Armed robbery has been the specialty of Nigerians from day one. There was no armed in Ghana until Nigerians brought the menace into the country! |

Get a cage that will be spacious for the dog when it is fully grown adult. 2. Consider the cage can provide warmth for the dog during rainy or cold season i.e. it should protect the dog from cold 3. Enure the roof of the cage is not made of metal iron because it would be too hot for the dog in the afternoon . 4. The floor of the cage should have done holes or space for it's faeces to drop on the floor. 4. Better you design a cage and give a carpenter to construct for you |
