KarlTom:Lol. ![]() Just give us regular daily price updates, as usual. The ''gba'' ''gbos'' is sometimes inevitable, and as long as it is civil and does not degenerate into a complete mess |
ositadima1:Thanks, and God bless. Oando will vomit the billions to you too, for you to enjoy. Just remember to invite me when you ''open'' your mansion for Lekki, Abuja, PH, Anambra, Enugu etc. Peace |
ositadima1:I would agree with you a 1,000,000% percent on the content, context and tone of this your post. If the earlier post was like this, I would NEVER have said ANYTHING in response. Let us grant each other full respect and the benefit of the doubts that we are all reasonable and know what we are doing. I will now apologize to you (unapologetically) if you feel my response was below the belt. I never intended to do that. So, I am sorry if you feel somehow! Ain't no proud to apologize or even beg! But why would you say my ''several million units'' was affecting my judgement? It is not nice to say so. Abeg. Why would you say I might constitute hazard to other people if I drive or do a sensitive job? It is not nice to say so. Abeg. Once again, I withdraw any word that I might have used that sounded offensive and below the belt. Let us encourage ourselves. I did not lose my mind or judgement in 2008-2010 when all my investments evaporated into thin air. It is not now that I can afford to tie wrapper for waist on top of balcony early in the morning, put chewing stick in my mouth and spit out like Yoruba village landlord that I would now lose my judgement on top of Oando that I bought for peanuts and is not doing badly! Peace unto you and everyone! |
Raider76: ![]() I mean, they may want to load more units at relatively low prices right now, so they can then benefit more from the share redistribution (bonus) and also the possible future impact of the Angola oil bloc. All these are just guess work, thinking aloud; and not any buy or sell advice |

ositadima1:My brother, stop personalizing and turning every post/comment into a ding-dong affair. Interestingly, you were the one that tagged and responded to my earlier post, and you made your points. I did not take offence or attack you in my response. Now, see what you have typed. Totally unnecessary innuendoes.! I said I suspected media houses of using stale, old news (e.g. of Q3 results) to fill-in potential empty spaces in their newspapers and websites. Me suspecting if some people may be suppressing the news in order to mop up more shares, is purely guess work. We all do some guess work in most of the analyses and commentaries here. . It only shows that there is some level of ''uncertainty'' or ''unknowns'' in the decisions or actions that we make/take, even in investing or investment considerations and permutations. It does not give anybody (or you) the right to talk down or judge anyone's sense of judgement or reasoning. It baffles me how you could jump, turn into a ''coach'' and arrogate to yourself the fallacy of telling or ''advising'' people (me) on what to put their(my) mind on or off; talking about hazard to others if driving and all the crap! If you care to know, my expected exit price for Oando (in case the buy-out happens) was around N10-N15. Hence, I am not under any pressure to sell or buy, even if it gets to N100 or crashes to N30. I would have sold long ago if I were to be under any anxiety or pressure. So, I am cool, calm and collected just as many people here on this platform are. Sometimes, we just give out a few info about our portfolios on this platform, just to share info, motivate and encourage ourselves and others, but some people would always have a different mind. If my ''several million units'' is offensive to you (similar to how @bovali's N300m profit was), I cannot help it. No pun intended. I made that comment in context, (in response to your comment that people who bought it low are selling), not to infuriate or trigger the angst of anyone who may be hurt or angered for no reason. |
GeeKudi:Yes, of course, an international oil bloc should be a big news. Unless the volumes of oil and gas that would be coming from the Angola bloc are insignificant. I suspect some people may want to keep the news lying low in order for them to mop up more of Oando shares. |
GistMedia0:This is not entirely new. It used to be like this since the 80s and 90s when people travelled abroad without someone to stay or live with for sometime. After a while they will survive, adapt, work hard and then overcome and make it. Many successful people today went through the same experience . |
ositadima1:I am not really bothered or interested in the price movements for now. I want to know if the news is really authentic (though I have seen an official release by the Angola oil and gas upstream regulators) and what it would add to Oando's daily production in future. I bought most of my Oando for around N5-N6 and I have several millions of units. I am not selling now even if the price hits N100. I want to see the end of the share redistribution before I sell some millions of units to finance a capital project! |
megawealth01:I wonder why Nigeria media houses are relatively quiet/silent on the Angola oil bloc |
megawealth01: ![]() Latter-day Wale converts? You have really helped and blessed guys here with your tips on Tantalizer and Universal Insurance. God bless you. But don't hide what you know about Oando |
Sunrisepebble:I am beginning to suspect that some of these media house just publish stale news to occupy spaces in their website or newspapers. |

yinkaOdutuyo:It depends on the extent or nature of the bow legs. Some bow legs are normal. Some extreme ones may require surgery. |
TimeManager:Would these so called '''autonomous'' LGAs be able to pay their staff salaries, including primary school teachers, their pensions, gratuity, construct LG roads in their neighbourhood, construct markets, take care of primary health care, pay the nurses, handle sanitation, environment, etc?. We seem to provide knee-jerk reactions/solutions to very serious issues in this country |
Harvestock01:Canceling the shares the way you suggested would be double jeopardy for shareholders. It would mean that the debtors would have nothing to lose (after failing to pay their debts and should go scot-free), while other shareholders would have nothing to compensate them, after not receiving any dividends as a results of the huge debt write-offs which eroded potential profits of the company in prior years. Good corporate governances requires that those who sacrificed for the company are now compensated. |
Raider76:Unless the cash is coming from the original debtors, otherwise Oando would find itself in another big controversy if it should pay. And why should the debtors be paying cash right now, after they had agreed and signed an MOU to relinquish the shares to the company? Oando paying cash would mean some potential insider dealings going on and another round of corporate governance disputes which may involve the SEC/NGX again. |
Sunrisepebble:The problem may be from some ignorant shareholders who made the request at the last Oando AGM. Whether they were influenced by Wale or not, I cannot say. But I don't think Oando would go for cash distribution. Because that option would imply $325m at N1500 (minimum), to be spread over 4.3billion shares, which would place a value of at least N110 on each share (if I am not mistaken) |
KarlTom:Is there any publication from Serinus Energy contesting or raising any issues with this award? Why don't we wait and hear from Serinus Energy? For all we know, there might be some distinctions between what Serinus won and what Oando has got now. Or it may be fake news all together! |
Bagwa:Cash equivalent at what value per share? And what would be the parameters, or indices to determine the value? |
KarlTom:It is clearly stated in the article that the tender was made public (to the people of Angola) on May24, 2024 and the bidding was held on September 3, 2024. So where is the so called winning bid of Jan 2024 coming from? We don start again oooo.. The way it is going, even if Wale should go many rounds to impregnate someone right now, some people would say the semen is from Aso Rock! Oando has this cross or burden to carry fr a long time. |
KarlTom: |
Raider76:I am not disputing that the name could be of positive influence sometimes, but at least the President of Angola cannot be accused of favouring his nephew (family member) in this award unlike what some people said with the ENI deal. |
Sunrisepebble:Thanks for this news. Hopefully and thankfully , the clueless Tinubu is not the president of Angola, otherwise we for no hear word because of noise of favouritism! ProphetUtuocha must be respected when it comes to tips about Oando! |
CodeTemplarr:This is reason why NNPC should let us know how they are selling the crude to Dangote in naira! |
megawealth01:Na wa oo.... God dey ![]() |
KarlTom:Apt ![]() |
megawealth01:Another pointer; that you know something going on in Oando. Now, what is the ''pim'' going on? |
megawealth01:It seems you definitely know something about Oando; |
KarlTom:Seems people are beginning to mop it up; may be the share redistribution exercise is around the corner. More than 14m units traded. Neither a ''buy'' nor ''sell'' advice. |
zero8zero:This is what happens when you adopt ''rush rush'' approach to major projects. Does it mean there was no scrutiny of the budget proposals at the Works Ministry before it was forwarded to the Finance Ministry, then to FEC? |
Redoil:Kindly assist me. Where/when was it reported that Oando and owners of the shares to be redistributed are in court? I did not see or read such info in Oando's response to the letter by some shareholders asking for details of the share redistribution exercise |
