Please, a question here;

UBA Bid and offer depth on Cardinal stone is around 15.4 million to 9 million but on Morgan capital, bid is 3.6 million, with offer of 10.2 million. Please, why the difference in figure between these trading portal?
It depends on how real-time each app receives updates from the NGX trading portal.
At end of the day's trading, both would reflect same information when fully updated

Mankind2024:
I had initially chosen to ignore your self-defeatist post and scroll past it. Even though this is a faceless forum, it was obvious who the indirect shade was aimed at. But now, I decided to respond.

Your message does not define me. Not even a little. It is nothing but a misplaced, bitter analogy born from deep imagination, myopic understanding, malice, and sheer belicosity.
You saw someone sharing their investing journey, the ups, downs, lessons, and wins, and instead of taking value from it, your heart chose resentment.

Let me be clear: I share my experiences for two main reasons. First, as personal motivation and documentation of my own path.
Second, as a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the Almighty God who alone has the power to transform a slave into a king, the poor into wealth, the hopeless into grace, and the barren into a joyful mother.
That is not pride, that is worship and testimony. If that bothers you, the problem is not with my sharing, it is with what lives in your heart.
The same energy you used to write that post attacking people who celebrate their progress could have been used to focus on your own growth.
But instead, you chose to generalise, insult, and paint every successful Nigerian as arrogant and boastful simply because they refuse to hide their blessings or stay silent like you prefer.
That is classic crab mentality. You are not calling for humility, you are uncomfortable with other people's light while sitting in your own darkness.

May God heal whatever is eating you up inside and grant you the grace to celebrate others instead of resenting their testimonies. The same God that elevated some is still available to elevate you too, but not with this spirit.
Change your heart, my brother. This kind of post only exposes you, it doesn't diminish those walking in gratitude.
Success is not the problem. Envy disguised as advice is. (Proverbs 26:24-26, James 3:14-16)
Without necessarily referring to, tagging or quoting your earlier post, or mentioning your moniker in my post, you have decided to tag, quote my post and direct your response at me personally
While I clearly referred to ‘’most Nigerians’’ in my post, your have changed it to mean ‘’every Nigerian’’. And also gone ahead to assume responsibility for an innocuous post talking about ‘’most Nigerians’’, thereby effectively ‘’buying’’ the matter and ‘’carrying it on your head’’, as my late grandma would say.
You have therefore assumed a personal fight on behalf of ‘’most Nigerians’’ who have been alleged to be boastful when blessed! Why can’t you assume and take position as being among the ‘’few Nigerians’’ who are humble and not boastful when blessed, if you want to?

You claim to have been blessed hugely by God in NGX. Congratulations for that. I wish you and everyone more success as we tarry on.
You also claim that your posts are for personal motivation, gratitude, worship and testimony to God Almighty. Good to hear that from you.
But if truly that is the case, why do you necessarily want people to believe, accept, recognize, honour, acknowledge, validate your success story on a faceless forum?
Even though you and I don’t know each other (in real life) and have never had any serious prior encounter or interaction or disagreement on this forum, and without anything to warrant it, you have jumped and quickly rushed to use derogatory and condescending words like:
bitter analogy,
malice,
myopic understanding,
sheer bellicosity(lol),
heart of resentment,
crab mentality,
darkness
envy etc.
Are these words supposed to come from you if truly and truly, your intention is to motivate yourself and give gratitude, worship and testimony to God who has blessed you?
Genuine personal motivation, gratitude and worship to God lies in you, your heart, your mind and God Almighty alone!. It does not require or worry about the acceptance, recognition, honour, validation or acknowledgment by the people. It keeps you calm, happy, relaxed and fulfilled whether people believe your success story or not. But you are here displaying aggressive behaviour, arguing, insulting and abusing everybody who seems to express some doubt or disbelief or challenge to your success story.
Why pick a fight with anyone who does not believe or expresses some disagreement with you, especially on a faceless forum, to the extent of calling them names? Does it make you more fulfilled, instead of the quiet confidence that should accompany the blessing that you have?
If you fight or strive to convince everybody that God has blessed you in NGX, then it means you don’t even believe it in your heart. You still want validation from others!

Apart from riches and material blessings from God, I pray He gives all of us wisdom, maturity, good health and long life.
Davido is a very rich guy. But he says Dangote always advises him to be humble, modest and invest more. Why? Because the future is pregnant and there are still many uncertainties to face and rivers to cross. It may be too early to blow the horns and trumpets.

People like Dangote, Adenuga, Rabiu etc. are still looking (hustling) for money. They are not beating their chest to say they have arrived, and call anyone who disagrees with them as being poor, filled with hate, envy, myopic, malicious etc. How much more those of us who are only buying few shares in their companies?. Let us keep making the effort, make the money and be hopeful for more. The blessings are abundant and will go round.
Real blessing, money riches does not like noise; it does not fight and does not seek recognition, acceptance or validation from anyone. It radiates quiet confidence

why is no one putting it into consideration that we re in pre-compaign time, so the politician are about to come into the market soon to sell out some of their units in order to raised cash for campaign fund. what about dollar, are they coming to flood our market with excess usd or likely the scarcity of it
Watch out for the other way round as well......a lot of money from political parties, campaign etc would find its way into the stock market, which would drive up prices, until about 3 months to election when prices begin to tank because of fears and uncertainties about the election.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo:
I have realized that most Nigerians who become privileged or blessed don't know how to remain humble, modest, keep low profile and be less boastful. They think they made it because they are smarter than others, and those who are underprivileged or still struggling are less intelligent, less brilliant or not smart enough.
That is why whenever they have some anniversary or occasion to celebrate, they would invite musicians to sing their praises and use the opportunity to brag that they are better, superior to some unknown or imaginary rivals or enemies etc. Just to prove that they are ''above them''

Everybody cannot be rich but plenty poor people are poor because of their bad choices. One of those choices is not taking responsibility for their destiny
I guess you were born into a prosperous family! And that was your ''making'' or your ''choice'', right?
Sometimes, it is better to avoid saying some things.
Many poor people are smarter, cleverer, more intelligent, more hardworking and even more sensible that you may think. They only did not have the opportunity that other people had.

I don't see that happening soon. There is a lot of restructuring they need to do. Not just a name change to CMFC Plc.
They are coming to raise capital very soon. So getting to N11 is possible, if they want; but it depends on their target share offer price.

You're a learner! cool

I have made more than 90 percent just by jumping in and out of Zenith Bank, ACCESSCORP,UBA,FirstHoldCo and WEMA Bank.

The real money in stock market is from trading; dividend investing is just a bonus for me.

I got a dividend yield of more than 40 percent for the Zenith bank shares(average cost price of ₦17) in my dividend porfolio. grin

There are other successful market exploits I have initiated that I don't want to mention.

I have mastered the workings of the NGX. I'm not a mediocre in this game cool
Everybody likes to prove himself ''right'', so self justification or self validation is permitted.
Anything to make oneself sound happy or okay is fine.

If Apartheid returns today it remains to be seen which African nation will help them like Nigeria did.
Point of correction: Several African countries helped South Africa to fight apartheid; not Nigeria alone.
While it is bad for South Africans to attack other Africans, Nigerians should stop talking as if Nigeria was the only country that assisted South Africa in the fight against apartheid. Some African countries even helped them more than Nigeria did.

All this is medicine after death. CBN (regulator) has stamped its feet down and Access will have no choice but, to obey. These are the things you see with government policies; very inconsistent. Someone will just wake up on the wrong side of the bed and decide to alter what has been in place without any reasonable explanation to the people they are regulating.
Let's wait for confirmation from CBN or Access.
It would be difficult for the CBN to order them to sell-off the foreign units IF each purchase was approved by the same CBN.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 9:27am On May 06
robobo:
i beg to disagree

while i am also not in sync with Access aggressive expansion of late. However, the treatment being meted by the regulator look very arbitrary and might not pass a test of logic

1. Didnt the regulator approved each of the buying in the first place? (because such buying are subject to regulatory approvals)

2. if so what had changed between the approvals and now to warrant a rollback?

3. for the sake of argument let accept a rollback is justified, how was the 12 month deadline (for sale) arrived at?

4. Does precedent (of mergers & acquisition) support the 12 months (when most of the buying took more than 12 months)

5. how was the 10 of SHF arrived at? what are the metrics driving the limit set?

6. is the regulator leaving the realm of regulation to dictate how a private coy deploy its capital

n.b i have very minimal and inconsequential units in Access but only concern about regulatory overreach
Spot on.

Don't people think this is good for ACCESS?
I think this is a good development which is capable of repositioning ACCESS.....
For me Access will be good to go from here.....because part of the things possibly affecting them is their numerous buys.

They kept focusing on expansion to the neglect of home, internal happenings, restructuring, growth ......and some of the outside assets are not profitable or not as profitable as expected.
This kind of divestment or sales of foreign units at the orders of a regulator like CBN could turn out negative because the bank would have to comply within a specific timeline or deadline, which could put pressure on them and eventually sell the assets at a loss.

But what was the CBN doing when the bank was buying all the foreign units? Didn't the CBN approve each purchase or acquisition?

This Iran War Has Exposed US Weakness And Over hyping, US Should Learn to Choose Its Battle Wisely, You Can't Be Fighting Openly With People That Are NOT Scared Of Dying
Which US weakness?
The US never wanted a full out war, they only wanted to push Iran into a corner and make them sign a deal for the resolution of the dispute.
Otherwise, the US would not give notice of their intention to bomb power and energy plants because nobody gives such notice in a war situation. The problem is Trump talks too much and has made many unnecessary comments which makes the US seem weak....but they are not weak.
Israel could have dealt a more severe damage on Iran but they are being restrained by the same US.
