Oando hopium still going strong in this forum
I guess you too may have some ''opium'' working on you in your choice of investments.

Every investor believes in something about his/her investment. Otherwise, there would be no investments
I don't condemn any stocks.
I watch, listen, pick and buy the ones I am interested in, and ignore others. The ones I ignore today, I may buy tomorrow and vice versa.

DYOR
Not a buy or sell advice to anyone!

And you want to chop am alone? Is that good? grin

Wapco is really going after Buacement o
This market is interesting and sometimes similar events and occurrences replicate in different sectors.

I recall when WAPCO was struggling and restructuring; selling below N20. Today, it is almost N300 and seen as going after BUACEMENT
Soon, similar comparisons could be made for Oando and Seplat/Aradel as well.
Restless Oandoites just need to ''f'okan ba'le'' grin grin

Not sure I'll agree with you on this one though

Maybe that is the case cos of the market is relatively illiquid

But in a proper, efficiently run market, with many (informed) participants; those hard caps are inhibitors
Okay ooo. As you please.
By the way, there is no 100% ''efficient'' market anywhere in the world.

The reality is... equity investments are risky
equity investments in emerging and frontier markets, even riskier

So if you want a high risk adjusted returns. you have to deal with the risk
Dealing with the risk in equity investments is the reason why there is a +/-10% limit on daily movement in price.
It is a way to reduce volatility (risk).

This is exactly why the Nigerian market wont grow or become more efficient

Sometimes its okay for companies to face the brunt of their actions
Which companies to face the brunt of their action? You and I, the shareholders, are the ''companies''.
The so-called ''brunt of their action'' is the fate of shareholders.
Imagine how you (shareholders) would feel if your shares worth N10billion suddenly drops to N1m overnight? Would you be happy or develop BP overnight? That is what is killing people in crypto!

As long as the bank is not distressed, there is nothing to worry about for him.
Those stakeholders whose share priced have fallen drastically would take it as possible sign of ''distress''. Not every stakeholder with huge stake in the bank is ready for all the technical jargons that you may know. All they ''see'' and ''know'' is the stock price. grin

I don't think Tony really cares about the market price of some of his companies.
TRANSCORP did not make any significant price movement until Ote came to shake him. The same TRANSCORP has been stagnant again for almost 2 years
He would care when stakeholders put pressure on him!

The beautiful thing about this time extension is that it helps me prepare well... Na now I ready to monitor the market this morning

Just imagine they remove the 10% thing... By now Tony for don hold 20 conference meetings and 100 press briefs and 17 board meetings this weekend into today Monday
Without the 10% limit, there would be too much volatility in the market, which is a huge risk.
Someone with billions worth of portfolio can lose it to N1m within a day, just like crypto and other Ponzi schemes. Suicide galore on Customs Street! Even me sef, I go commot from NGX go fixed income.

Maybe Access no wan pay Dividend ...

Becos Access na UBA twin brother...

As dem hear say UBA no pay one dime ....

Its an excuse for them not to pay too
Access wants to pay dividend but I guess CBN is pushing back or asking for adjustments to the figures

Insiders want it at a lower price in order to buy.
Good you are very loyal and committed to Access!
You can now see that these things do happen., as you keep explaining what is happening in the NGX, CBN and Access bank boardrooms! grin
The thing dey go round

The fact that Access did not publish their results one month after submitting at CBN, should have been a concern.
But some of us still went ahead to buy because of the bank's prospects.

Deny keh. Immediately CBN told banks to make 100% provisions for insiders related loans, I knew there was no way UBA would escape.

I even sold at N45. You can check the dates on the trade alerts below

I sold through Meristem and Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers. It took them 2 days to sell everything, because the broker sold in bits
Why are you displaying your official trading names and bank account details on the web? To convince who?

No one should be bashing Tony. Impatient retail investors will only end up blaming themselves and saying “had I known” in Q4, as usual. The acquisition by Heirs Energies was financed by Afreximbank and AFC — do your research and come back with the undiluted truth.
Tony was once a director in AFC.
I said "'it is believed that he took loan from the bank.........."'
''Perception'' is part of the factors that influence the stock market. Things could normalize soon with the release of better quarterly results, but it looks curious that UBA is reporting huge provisioning for possible insider loans at a time when the Chairman (or CEO) has just bought huge stakes in an international oil company.

Na to lock shop go stay with Barman for UBzA and ACCESS holders better now!!
If Access must fall, I pray it falls below N20 and stays that low for at least a month.
That was how GT and Zenith fell to around N15-N17 a few years ago.

Small time the dividend hunters will be talking down on traders.....
Make una dey fear God, what about the price appreciation you had and you're enjoying?
You're quick to abuse Tony now....
Last year he gave good dividend and you were praising him....
Small endurance with your company, you no get. 😁

Anyway, UBA will bounce back shortly.....
ZENITH and GT can't stay above 120 while UBA and ACCESS goes down.....
Tony would be bashed because it is believed that he took some loan from UBA buy shares in Seplat, which aggravated the loan provisioning by the bank leading to reduced profititability.

Tell us one new tax that this government has initiated.
People said more during the tax law making process.
This govt initiated the process to increase VAT to 10% and later 15% but it was shut down by NASS
The govt has:
i. increased CGT for companies from 10% to 30%
ii. introduced a Minimum Effective Tax Rate (ETR) of 15% for Nigerian companies with turnover of N50billion and multinational groups of N1trillion

When did @Agba start being optimistic about a stock on NGX/NSEMPA?
Abi, you enter UBA and the thing don hook your neck?

@Agba saying a stock like UBA would not drop below N45? Why not N10 as you said for Access?

If they remove the 10%, a larger %tage of retail traders will loose their funds due to heavy manipulations by MM. As for me when 10% benchmark is removed, I'll clear my portfolios
The 10% rule is one of the policies that made the market recover.
Its removal may not be too good for the market
It was formerly 5%

The companies getting new jobs now will also add the new contracts to their own lists of projects done in Nigeria. How that one come be bad thing?
be like say bro Mike don load JB full bag grin grin
grin grin
Every company has the right to grow., and should be encouraged as much as possible and allowed to grow.
But to bypass all laid down rules, procedures, laws etc. and award very huge, strategic national contracts to cronies with dubious records, who have had little or no record of capacity and competence in projects of such magnitude, without any tender, no bids, no senate approval, no budgetary allocation etc. creates huge problems. Unless Nigerians are docile gluttons who swallow everything without asking key questions.
This is what caused the clash between Rufai Oseni and the Minister.
I don't have any shares in Julius Berger whatsoever.

Anybody that tells you that Julius Berger only became the preferred contractor of choice for FGN under Babangida may not know the history of JB in construction in Nigeria,....that is why I included the years some constructions were done
