This is not an underground rail line neither is it a high-speed. Let us even assume it is high speed, we are looking at $10 million per kilometer.

Even at the price, if we take 800km to be the total distance, we are looking at $8billion at most. Who steals the remaining $5 billion?

Did you also calculate the cost of importing the materials like steel? China makes her own steel, so rail way will be cheaper to make for her than for us. I also have my doubts about the budgeted money, but I need facts to confirm my suspicion. Did also consider skilled labour? Foreign workers will demand higher than Local workers. I'm not sure how to do the math, but I think it will be more than 8billion (your estimate)

I think we should consider importing gas. If it were me I would create a receiving facility at the lekki free trade zone and send the gas via pipeline to the power plants that are outside the Niger delta like geregu, omotoso, egbin, papalanto, and others.

Mambilla would also get very high priority from me as well as large scale solar and wind power. Surely with the plenty sun up north we have solar potentials. A 500MW solar plant can be up and running in 18months if we move very fast. Also with the Harman tan wind that blows in from the Sahara at that time of year, I would think we have good wind potential too.

Also we have to enable investors in new power plants to sell directly to specific discos instead of sending everything to an inefficient national grid first. For eg a solar plant up north could make sense if I would be able to sell directly to Abuja disco.

I don't have a pair of binoculars or a telescope. I intended to view it on water's reflection, like we do when we view eclipses. After seeing images of the size of mercury compared to that of the sun, I concluded that the water view wouldn't do me any good. Its just sad.

You have only convinced us to look. How will I sit, knowing that Mercury is passing, and not look at it? Besides, NASA did not tell us how it will affect our sight. They just said we should not look. Well, is not dia 'iiiii's nah!
