Hope his wealth of experience is put to bear to grow the University. |
Angelfrost:Davido's lack of self-control is sponsoring it. |

Severally and whenever I come back, things always looks so odd as if I was coming back from Jupiter....many things to catch up on.😊😊 |
Theboss001:Cool, that is to your own best interest. |
Some civil servants have been pocketing it all these years. |
Very insightful contributions so far. |
Theboss001:I hope you restrict this mindset to Nigeria, in the West....you are roast. |
AmadeGTG:Reason many Nigerians, I knew back then would prefer living at the upper most floor of such buildings. I know one Nigerian who went to the upper floor to go confront a neighbour who spread her wet bedsheets and it dripped and soaked his almost dried jeans, the woman use Swahili finish my guy, na im e con remember say im visa don expire and im no want police case, he quietly went back to his apartment to reflect over his life. ![]() |

Goodly1:It is more of a career I desired, had to take the bold step of re-routing my path towards the field of psychology and had to go re-do a Bachelor degree in it and while in my second year, did a course in child and adolescent psychology, I then made up my mind I was going to specialize in child and adolescent mental health......there are so much career opportunities working with young persons in the UK but most Nigerians who come over to the UK for studies, don't follow the data reason after studies, many still pay for COS to do care jobs.(I don't in any way demean it as it is an honest job). |
Goodly1:Thanks. Yes, I now work with a child and adolescent mental health and neurodevelopmental assessment services provider. |
Is that not Mercedes 190 V-boot, many killed and stole in order to buy one back in the days. na im e take pack stones? ![]() More interested in the Neuropsychiatric hospital behind him in the picture........so that is the famed Aro. ![]() I must someday visit there.......................as a professional. ![]() See how FreeStuffsNG and Helineus think they are way smarter with their write-ups, na who no know dem, dem dey deceive because if this same man happens to be from a certain part of Nigeria and the location is from a certain part of Nigeria, their true colours would be shining bright! ![]() |
cletz991:Yes. |
Goodly1:Dem no suppose pay me, say wetin happen?😆😆 I must admit, it wasn't stressful at all and more over I was studying for my Masters in Clinical Child Psychology at the University....as I now recall sitting in the warm lounge, legged crossed over the coffee table and sipping hot coffee while watching Netflix as it snowed outside and me, remembering fellow Nigerian students still struggling with the very miserable 7hrs night shifts at the DHL warehouse I briefly worked in while pursuing the residential support worker role. Those roles still very much exist but one has to be resilient especially dealing with young ones struggling with one issue or the other, from eating disorder, autism, emotional and behavioural disorders etc .....sha, undergoing such much training is involved. From health and safety, prevention of self harm, food preparation and preservation, medication, child sexual exploitation, reflective journaling, daily temperature checks of the refrigerator, water temperature must be ideal for the young person, the house car must be checked daily, the windows must be checked regularly to make sure no breach as some of those young persons have PhD in escaping from care and by the time you realize and calling the police to report a child missing in care, pikin don enter train dey go London.😆😆 |
cletz991:Yes it does. I did it during my student days. 12hrs shifts from 8 pm to 8a.m. Had a young person aged 15 in the house (a building of 4 bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen, garage, a conservatory attached to the house. We had 6 support worker, one team leader and one house manager working around that young person who was brought in by the social service. Mine was to resume at 8p.m to take over from the 2 day staff who worked from 8a.m to 8p.m, one of the staff would go home while the second would stay back and sleep in the staff sleep-in room and would be paid for it. He or she would have been woken up to serve as my backup should there have been any incident that required 2 staff to handle. As I take over, I will be in the office (converted from the master bedroom) doing the paperwork, checking the sharps (knives, scissors etc) are complete, the money in the safe, the medicine box, the first aid box etc Check the entire house is clean except going to the young person's bedroom as she is always in her room at that time on her phone with her TV on. I then went to the kitchen and heat up and eat from the meal reserved for me by the day staff after I which I went to the lounge to watch Netflix through the night to keep me awake while intermittently I went up to listen from the door of the young person to ascertain she is sleeping, I got it recorded. I then intermittently go to the kitchen to make coffee and gooble up some snacks;provided by the company. At about 5 a m, I do a light clean up of the house, make sure the paperwork is updated (though along the line we stopped doing physical paperwork and transited into inputing into a software) I had my breakfast at about 7a.m and waited for the day shift to come around 7.50a.m and I hand over to them, after which I leave for home....work done!😊😊 |
Ask men to choose between marrying 3 wives and marrying one wife, with 2 side chicks. ![]() Being polygamous is not restricted to males as we do have women who sleep with many men at the same period of time and are emotionally detached from those men, just that they are smarter enough to get money out of it as against some men who are very willing to offer free sex. |
Titanic comes to mind. |
cletz991:Then look for support worker roles without personal care such as in places like residential children homes. |
ednut1:But most times, many are very much aware of the illegalities those agents indulge in while "praying" it works out well and have visas granted. It is when they get denied or banned, you would see them forming ignorance of the illegal process |
guobe:Your UK friend no plan well before heading to the UK. If na student visaf route, e be like say na one course that is not UK relevant e go study, make im sha enter until first! |
helinues:Which position did Ruto hold in AU when he made his powerful speech at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2023, less than 6 weeks he was announced President of Kenya? By the way do cite the protocol. |
Zxcvbnmghtr:8 years later ......😆😆😆😆
|
wunmi590:When Nigeria finally gets the census done, gender ratio would be 50 something percent to 40 something percent.....then we would ask where is the talk of one man to three wives is based on. |
OP, what you stated fits one who is clinically depressed (Major Depressive Disorder), please do note that this is not a diagnosis. She needs to see a Clinical Psychologist (let me not scare you with her seeing a Psychiatrist because of stigma attached to such). The Clinical Psychologist should be able to administer the Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAM-D) and score it or any other preferred tool. I just hope talk therapy alone can help her but if there is need for her to be prescribed antidepressants, seek a second opinion and if her need to take medication still pops up, make sure she adheres strictly to it. |
