Anyone who gives birth to more than two children in this economy is heartless ...
Not for those chanting "African men are polygamous" but ask them the concrete plans they have for the children they would have with different women, in terms of quality education, good healthcare access, nutritious meals and what arrangements they have that would guarantee that their young children would continue to live good quality life should they die when their children are still minors, preventing those children being shared amongst relatives and even strangers to work for them, they ignore answering you!

My first time working with a teenager who was suicidal, though managing such was what I studied in school but my first experience knocked me off. Here was a 16 year old who attempted suicide at least twice a day and I was calling regularly calling in the police and paramedics. I dreaded going to work during the first week. sad

A big chunk of the funds would end up in private pockets and for those households that would eventually get the N8,000 per month, I am imagining what N267 per day would do for such households.

Until Nigeria is totally Islamized we will continue to deal with criminal entities and news like this about the criminal activities of kafiris in NIGERIA.

Developers are mostly Catholic, but they have turn themselves to advocates for idol worshippers because of their hatred for us.
Ironically, the Catholic Church is more receptive of masquerades. Masquerades are not exclusive to idol worshipping.

During the Ordinations of Catholic Priests in the South East, it is very common seeing masquerades during the occasion because Seminarians themselves also get garbed in masquerade apparels and Priests dance with masquerades at events. It is the rogue ones who uses masquerading to commit atrocities, that many are against .......so don't show off ignorance. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

When we are still lacking the financial capacity to build , equip and maintain conventional hospitals, i wonder, where we will get the resource to start building REHAB centres.
Just as those in the private are setting up conventional hospitals, so will it be same for Rehabs. Businesswise, residential rehabs are money spinners, you can ask around how much most charge for a 3 months stay.

My Advice,

Let her take the Baby along(The baby will have better opportunities there and might even become a citizen) and let them sign a contract before she leaves stating that if the child grows to age 12 then she will let him train him onward if eventually he does not have any plans to be travel there. nevertheless, he should at all times visit her at least once in 6 months.

and he should also focus on growing his business.
Take a 3 months baby along? Who takes care of the baby when she is at work?

Psychiatry u mean
No, Psychology.

In treatment of substance addiction, the best approach is the biopsychosocial model.

The bio angle of it is handled by the Psychiatrist where assessment and medication is prescribed and administered by the mental health nurse.

The psycho angle of it is handled by the Psychotherapist who is certified to offer therapy sessions where the recovery addict, gets to pour out his/her heart, discuss triggers, set goals on recovery, get to be psycho-educated etc.

The social angle of it, is where the addict's family, friends etc supports his/her journey. Here the Psychotherapist offers family therapy which involves the addict and his/her family as it gives a better understanding of the history of the addiction and there may be some grey areas shared by the addict, that may need clarification from the family because most addicts' can lie for Africa!

Female empowerment is much needed but we also shouldn't leave the boy child alone
Men should be in the fore front of empowering the boy child but little is being done in that direction as there is little or no intentionality in raising the male child in our sphere.

The sad truth is that only the rich can afford it for their children and that is where government at all levels needs to be involved in, so it can be highly subsidized.

To those encouraging the medical brain drain, hope you or your family members don't have a medical issue.
Government is the biggest culprit on this matter.
The reality is that condition of service is very poor, I know my skill sets in Clinical Child Psychology is needed direly in Nigeria but I can't imagine myself working in Nigeria......pay is poor, facilities below standards until I decide to open my own facility and the truth is, it is going to be high end which majority can not afford because it is very expensive to set up, setting up a world class sensory room for autistic children will cost nothing less than N25m, so you can imagine how much a child would be charged per hour in it.

Honestly, the most important thing is the natural attitude of your wife.
If she is arrogant type or has tendency to be arrogant, please stay in Nigeria with your business, the worse is that you may marry another wife if she mess up. Otherwise you will regret the day you board the plane.

However, if she is naturally humble and submissive, you may please proceed on the journey. She may need to support you financially to start a good business or get certified in your chosen course.
Support him financially on top how much she will be earning?

Guy must look for night shift jobs immediately he arrives, to contribute paying their bills.

You are being followed by a very sick individual. Tinubu needs to act fast on building those Psychiatry centres that Buhari started.
And you think it is calamity? Nah, I work in one.

Though the story is that Prof. Monday Igwe, the Medical Director of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu said the hospital would activate one mental healthcare outposts in each of the 15 senatorial zones in the South-East to further improve access to mental healthcare.

Those psychiatric facilities would hire psychiatrists, mental health nurses, psychotherapist, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists etc, whether there are patients or not, the Federal government would be paying salaries, more money would circulate in the local communities they would be based.

On a clinical level, having easier access to mental health facilities is as important as access to the regular hospitals as body and mind needs to be attended to in equal measure. cheesy

Get in touch with different Nigerian communities around you and know what they can suggest, you should also seek out an immigration lawyer especially one who has a migrant background.

Your candid advise is needed.

His wife got a job in the UK which pays her about £30,000/ annum. Husband will be going with the wife along with thier 3months old baby as a dependent. How do you think this man can cope nursing thier baby for God knows how long before he gets something doing.

On a second thought he will rather let the wife go while he stays back with the baby in Nigeria managing his business. He's not doing do bad in Nigeria.

My people what's the best option he should take that would favour him and his family?.
Is it a 9a.m to 5p.m job or a rota of day and night shifts?

One thing is a FACT, she can't arrive the UK to start a job with a 3 months old baby, not even with the husband, dem go suffer!

She comes alone, she can easily get a room in a shared house within a week of arrival. She works for 3-4 months to save funds, so she can rent a 2 bedroom flat while she files for her husband and their baby after making sure her employer would allow her to briefly travel to Nigeria, to return with her husband and baby.

Their mothers and sisters can support in taking care of the baby, pending when the baby's mother comes to take him/her.

If the job is going to be 9a.m to 5p.m, the husband would baby sit their baby till his wife gets back from work, he can then leave for his night shift job and return in the morning to take over child care as wifey leaves for work.....it is not going to be an easy ride and that is for sure!

The alternative of getting a nanny here in the UK is disastrous because nanny will have to be paid at least £10 per hour while madam will be earning about £15 per hour at work ....so it makes no sense.
