tonicyril:Which politicians? Whey my people dey Japa go Obodo Oyibo with their medical degrees, no be e cause una politicians for national assembly dey advocate for the restriction of doctors from Japaing. About 9,500 students from my state were admitted to study medicine between 2011 and 2015 (the highest in Nigeria), if 80% of dem graduate, na 7,600 doctors......you self no say many of dem don japa! ![]() Whey back from the early 90s , attending Nursing schools was the sure format for girls from my side to have a chance to relocate abroad. As you dey finish Nursing school, guys living in North America and Europe go dey rush to marry you as na jackpot though in the last few years, babes from my place whey don become Nurses no dey too use marriage to relocate again but do so on their own strength, so their parents and siblings go enjoy dem wella before the talk of marriage. ![]() Make dem dey pay penny to their indigenes whey be doctors.....e no concern me. ![]() |
Mbuhari2023:What can go worse after Buhari's 8 years.😂😂😂 |
Sad. |
descarado:It starts with the misconception about the field of Psychology as many instantly pair it with "madness" and studying the course is seen as 'how we for do am nah", which many reluctantly study in Nigerian Universities as their last choice rather than staying at home waiting for another year to sit for JAMB exam. Many are not comfortable telling people they are studying Psychology. Once overwhelming majority of them graduate, they redirect attention because they never had interest in it as they only went through the motionns. 😂😂😂 Postgraduate studies gives one the opportunity to specialize in the field. During my undergrad, one of the courses we were taught was Child and Adolescent Psychology, that inspired me to decide that my specialty would centre around children and adolescents. I pushed hard to graduate well, got my British Psychological Society membership that gave me the eligibility to be accepted to study clinical child psychology for my Masters in the UK. Fact is to study to become a child psychologist is not cheap, after investing so much, it will be difficult for one to come back to Nigeria to be earning N500k per month when the same skill is very much in high demand in the West because it is on their list of skill shortage. Most Nigerians in the field of child psychology prefer working outside Nigeria, dem no fit shout because they don't have to be dragging with facility management or the government to provide what is needed to work effectively with a child. To work with a child who have sensory issues, let say an autistic child, how many local government chairmen or state governors would be will be willing to set up sensory stimulation centres where I can work with such child?☹️☹️☹️ Child Psychologists in private practice in Nigeria are not CHEAP! |
E wan carry religion enter wetin no concern am. |
tonicyril:I come from a state that is consistently producing the highest number of medical doctors in Nigeria, so let him and his home state be more politically sagacious as I assure you that I won't envy him.😂😂😂😂 |
mytime24:Phase 1, indeed!😂😂😂 |
BRIMBRAM:Listening to "noise", is part what brings food to my table. ![]() |

Are there medical records proving she was pregnant in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023? Such claims is what the Nigerian Medical Association should follow up and do a press release on it. |
adekolaelect:I am already living the better future, at least I have spent only 129 days in Nigeria in the last 10 years, so which happiness should I be seeking for that the Lord have not given that I will be hoping Tinubu would bring to my life?😂😂😂😂 And by the way I don't want to be one of the reasonable legends in Nigeria rather, I want to be a legend in my field of work; Clinical Child Psychology.😎 |
Jones4190:If Tinubu was to be a course, how would the curriculum developers come up with anything reasonable with gaps in his ancestry, siblings, childhood, pre-tertiary education, NYSC etc? If you have studied Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalytic theory in details then you must by now be very conversant with who Sigmund was and would know that any one whose early years is shrouded has an issue with identity.....so why should anyone study such?🤔 |
Jones4190:Maybe in the polytechnics and universities in your home state.👍👍 |
Go to court, go to court....APC still wants Lamidi Apapa to have all cases withdrawn from the court. Insanity is not just psychosis!😂😂😂😂😂 |
MISTAICEY02288:You are welcome....Amen |
We all have our aspirations, |
MISTAICEY02288:It is personal to you, you can use that letter any way that makes you feel connected to that loved one...our process is so unique to us. We never forget those who meant so much to us and when we are gone, there are those who would remember the beautiful moments they had with us before our transition. |
MISTAICEY02288:We were taught that in my undergrad's grief and loss counselling course. You can Google it up and I have used it severally with clients. |

goslowgoslow:Uncle, God don answer my prayers tey, tey.... school no be scam, it paid off than being a sycophant who lives in one hell-hole in Nigeria.😂😂😂 |
RoyalBlu:You are bereaved, so what you have been feeling is part of your grieving. I will suggest though it sounds weird from where we come from, that you write a letter to your late younger sister. You would certainly cry through the process but it would help in releasing some of the pains you are presently experiencing and you don't have to finish writing it in one sitting, take as much time as you want...it is very therapeutic. When you are through with the writing, make out a private time and space to burn that letter, sit down and watch it burn as you try to remember the happy times with your sister.....it really helps as it is evidence-based. May her soul rest in peace and God grant you and your family the strength to go through the loss. |
mcbreeze:Because we have less than 500 Psychiatrists in Nigeria. |
Power is truly transient. |
Larryndelaw:But APC saw nothing wrong in carrying mock coffins of GEJ from place to place or is there at least one video where APC leadership came out to condemn it? By the way, it is now one year Deborah was killed in Sokoto by Islamic fanatics, that one no be religious WAR, reason APC led government have not deem it important to see that those perpetrators are now in prison, serving long term. |
goslowgoslow:One Baba? You still dey Baba level?😂😂😂😂 I work with consultant psychiatrists and I don't need saving rather UK govt pays me for working with people like you whey dia mind don waka.....I hope we don't get to meet, should I be involved in a project in either Yaba left or Aro.😂😂😂 |
Propsvilla:Noted. |
Skyview01:It is too late, the husband cannot suddenly develop spine to draw the boundaries....OP, should leave as soon as possible. |
Propsvilla:Where is the exact location and how much is a plot going for? |
goslowgoslow:Good response to one who said, we should ignore their R.I.P campaign against a political opponent but focus on those who are accused of being"verbally abusive"....it is like a murderer who feels he has a moral right to pass judgement on a man who is being accused of insulting his neighbour. ....like I said, in my first post on this thread, they are more mentally unstable people outside than inside psychiatric facilities.😂😂😂😂😂 Worst still Nigeria has less than 500 Psychiatrists for over 200million people, so manage your mental health well .... because the waiting list is too long! |
Olamidegal:The same father who is refusing you coming back home in the face of abuse, will be first to call on Nigerians to assist in seeking for justice should anything happen to you in that marriage. |
