Some men sacrifice the wellbeing of their children from earlier marriage/relationship in exchange of "living in peace" with their current wives. These stepmothers are emboldened by their husband's silence or feeble efforts when those children are being maltreated.

I hope the deceased boy's father, the stepmother and the security officials involved in the torture get arrested.

I am very certain the stepmother have been maltreating the boy, while his father looked the other way.

I live in the UK and work in their Children social care sector, where young ones with emotional and behavioural disorders are who I work with.

Nigeria is not doing better, a lot is being covered up and rationalized.

The West has irresponsible kids over the decades but how did they become adults who have been running their economies better?

Nigeria that raises "better behaved" children, how did we come about the adults around us that sees nothing wrong in ritual killings for wealth and positions, easier to bribe a Nigerian security officer, politicians stealing senselessly, delivery of substandard projects.....if your better behaved children don't transit to more humane and responsible adults, what do you gain?

It is a draft and the Masters student is still working on it, as she is going to present and submit it in September, for her graduation in November. So I do not have the rights to share her academic work as she shared it with me in confidence, for my insights as I encouraged her to opt for Psychology fot her Masters.

That reminds me of a draft dissertation of a Nigerian Psychology postgraduate student, I read and it was really insightful as it focused on the breakdown in marital relationships of some Nigerian migrants to the UK as the focus.

The project detailed how the UK system hits hard on Nigerian husbands who are so high on control and submission as the UK system deflates these. The researcher also brought up the demystification of income which counters many threads here that advocates a man should not let his wife know how much his income is but here in the UK, the wife knows it before it even reaches the man's account and the system forces the couples to be more open about their finances and they are forced to make joint decisions as it forces accountable leadership on husbands as against the lordship status, they "enjoyed" in Nigeria ....d person write many, many for the dissertation.😆😆😆😆

If you are very intentional and present in your children' lives, you don't need receipts to prove you cared for them because they know you were there for them and NO ONE CAN manipulate them, you didn't .

No one can manipulate me that my father didn't play regularly with me and my siblings, didn't take us to school, didn't follow up on our performance in our academics: common entrance examinations, WAEC, GCE, JAMB, didn't discuss our career choices with him and my mother, didn't take us to the construction sites he was handling, nor regularly talked about what was currently going on in the family.... everybody in the family knew when money don enter and when e don dey finish as my parents' finances were an open book, to the extent that when my eldest sibling finished secondary school she became the bursar of the house while awaiting university admission.

Be one-on-one with your children, don't delegate it, be an open book to them.

This man Glen David, parading himself as the owner of the company. He promised to give out loan as a lender to me. I decided to ask if the man is legit. I was told to pay validation fee before the loan is disbursed which is just 1% of the total loan.

On what grounds would a company in the US grant you a loan? It seems you are looking forward to be scammed!
