I am being honest as I have posted the evidence here several times. Titans (season 1 and 2) was amongst the top 10 trending on demand show in the US for 2 fvcking years straight. And you wanna compare it with LOT? Dey fear God na.

Yeah, the writing, the costumes and everything got upped due to HBO money and so far, I don't see a problem with Black fire storyline cos that's what fans wanted (go to DCTitans page). Abi, dey shouldn't give the fans what they want?
TheKingIsHere:
I have always said it that Titans is one of the best TV shows out there.

About to watch episode 4
Baba, the things you posted only suggested it was the most watched superhero show not best.
Come to think of it, legends of tomorrow was voted best whatever, but we all know that show is crap.

You peeps are kinda funny......
You think present box office gross will faze WB. Then you've not been paying attention.

People that are willing to sacrifice millions if not billions of dollars production money for streaming day and date release. And you think this one go shock them. People still paid millions extra money to creatives and actors just to keep movies on streaming.

They ain't desperate for money returns now. This board seem more bothered with the bigger picture.
People be making loss since 2019 until Joker saved them face, and they ain't desperate to recoup those massive losses.
Are you sure? Suicide squad wasn't just released for streaming oh. And this is the wb that rebooted man of steel for BvS. WB are known for being fidgety. For someone who says he goes with whatever the flow is, you sure are placing alot of faith in these corporate guys

There is no iota of doubt on Jurnee Smollett's acting prowess. If there was any, she crushed that doubt in Lovecraft Country. So good she got a nom at the Emmys.

Blame the scriptwriters and the director. Heck, the team who thought centering the BOP movie on a Di¢k pic can't be taken seriously, if not for WB's intervention.
Then they really need to rewrite black canary, can't have Dinah Lance wearing nose rings and acting like a tough. I just don't like how she was written.

She sang. Looked out for Cassandra. And coming to terms with her power was one of my interesting parts of the movie.
Is that the actress's fault or the script's?
Let me see the movie again cause I really didn't like her performance. She felt boring and black canary is meant to be a femme fatale. I loved her introduction in Smallville better.

I hope they cast Green Arrow.
If they are going to use the backstory in birds of prey for Dinah Lance, I don't see how it will factor in Oliver Queen. Unless he isn't intended to be made a billionaire Playboy. Oliver should make an appearance in a Batman or suicide squad film or blue Beetle or green lantern. Justice league dark won't be bad.

Some are afraid Canary alone can’t carry the show, they are wrong. I don’t even want plenty Green Arrow scenes, just references here and there is enough.
Canary can carry a theatrical film but the actress isn't great.

What do you like from her role in birds of prey? She barely did anything worth interesting. King shark was all CGI but the character left an impact.

Bros, except season 2. Be honest for once, just cause you like season 2 doesn't mean the show is anything special. Legends of tomorrow has been winning awards too, just saying.
But what I like is that, the writers upped their game in season 3. The show has been good so far but they better wrap that black fire storyline cause that plot seems to be a boring one, it's kinda making the star fire actress look dull, especially when playing vulnerable.

Why? undecided
I don't know if it's the shitty Writing or backstory in birds of prey but to be fair, I didn't feel that woman's acting. She didn't feel like Dinah Lance to me.

It really depends on the situation, location, and range IMHO.
Deathstroke will heal from anything fired at him from the distance. You only have to dismember him to kill him and he has quick reflexes to dodge things.

It means the sequel might focus on the trench. Perhaps Arthur wants to include the kingdom amongst Atlantis. It's titled the lost kingdom after all.

WB can use this as an opportunity to add Green Arrow to the DCEU

It's not official, it's just a rumour at this point.
We will find out if it's true at DC Fandome
Please No, and if they want to, then they should recast or rewrite the character, not that crap they gave us.

Not a psychopath. Just emotionless. That's how Batman is. Affleck played it the same way.

Zack has always insisted it was dick Grayson but since it wasn't mentioned on screen, it can be anybody now. In fact they can decide nobody in the bat family even died.

it's not Cannon
My point exactly. For the fact that Bruce nor Alfred didn't say dick Grayson was dead on screen, it could be anyone. It could even be Damian Wayne if they wanted.

I got your points here, but the way I see it, it's a failure for a cbm to do that kind of number when the whole movie industry and fans are crazy about cbm. THEIR GOLDEN AGE O! And we shouldn't also forget that Shazam was suppose to benefit from his older fan base.
Some of us here might say it did well, but let that same movie were to be from Zack and it grossed same amount then we will know what is called VAWULENCE!!! Every single soul will over night become a keyboard warrior....telling us why the movie is a FAILURE....
It was released in the middle of 2 films that had insane promotion, you got to look at it from the perspective of how many people will be ready to spend money they don't have on 2 or 3 different films at that point. Besides, ticket pricing of both matters, then there's how many showings.
Now, let's look at it in this football aspect, there's a UCL final between Chelsea and Man United, that same day, Europa final holds between Arsenal and Man City. And that very evening, there's El clasico (this time Messi and CR7 are still in their former clubs) which do you think will be the main attraction? And would you say one failed if it didn't do huge numbers on match ticket sales or audiences when you know the charges for UCL final and Europa are higher than a weekly la liga match?

350m+ for a DC movie in her golden age when even there was no covid-19 then to hamper its box office numbers...
You fail to realize Shazam didn't have that big a promotion. And no A Lister. It had a budget of 100 million. It didn't bomb. Besides, Shazam wasn't that famous a character any more. It released in the middle of avengers and brie Larson. And brie Larson bombed if we are to be honest. Fake tickets and stuff.

And who said I wanted a shift from dark and gritty? undecided
I said diversity not having almost all the announced DCEU movies look MCU. It's still early days tho.

HBOMax got the dark and gritty projects. Theatrical DCEU is the one falling outta line. If dark and light are balanced no problems. The Batman, Zatanna and Constantine is a step in the right direction.
I never said you were a Snyder hater. Did I? You were the one who mentioned being a 'fan' . Are you sure it's not a new opinion you are bringing cause you all Snyder fans were rooting for Geoff John's style...

I think the reason why people are shocked that TSS underperformed at the B.O was the hype around it, the movie was hyped by critics as one of the best CBM's while it's not even close.

To me it's just an average movie so the B.O performance is not shocking to me, the movie couldn't even outperform mortal Kombat on HBO max goes to prove covid is not the only factor, it's an average movie although it's way better than mortal Kombat ( probably cause of it's larger budget for both production and marketing).

Blaming the underperformance on SS 2016 is laughable because one of the movies major marketing strategies was that Gunn was given creative freedom to do whatever he wants to with the movie.
But I still believe that TSS will perform moderately well at the box office.
Piracy is also a huge issue.

PS. I enjoyed the movie though. Just my 2 cents on the matter.
My point exactly. TSs wasn't anything special. Entertaining not special. After watching, it won't leave you asking deep questions about specific scenes. Those things allow for repeated viewings. But I don't see it as a failure, just the hype and pressure.
Knowing WB, they will start getting jittery now, lol.

Some people go just like to open mouth waaa and spill any nonsense that comes into mind just for arguments sake.

How do you separate a movies performance from its sequel/prequel or spin-off when they've some connection. Or you think even if your movie made billions and audiences hated it, they'll come for more in the sequels.
Or you will tell me the useless 90's Batman and Robin didn't affect the perception of Batman Begins. Isn't after the rave critical acclaim from Batman Begins and WOM that Raised audience anticipation for TDK. Or someone will tell me many people will be as highly anticipated to come watch the new Ghostbusters movie after the reboot disappointed audiences massively.
Pray tell About the Terminator movies?

At times I wonder whether some people here even read movie review & data analysis at all or Hollywood op-ed pieces. Na just opinionated bullcrap without facts for backup.
It didn't. In 2005, CBMs didn't make that big bucks like now. Besides, the fact Batman has been over done was one factor, coupled with it being an origin story. Bros, your argument doesn't stand in alot of ways cause there have been films that were critically acclaimed that it's sequel underperformed financially even while having critical praise. And also there were films that have been bad that still generate big bucks time and again. Transformers. Besides, Superman returns didn't affect MOS box office did it? Or did Justice league affect Aquaman?
Yes, there are instances where it affects but not when the film has critics praising it.
