phr0nesis:Actually I am more a Spiderman fan. He is so relatable. Then there's Superman who I kinda relate with somehow. Many DC characters are relatable safe for bats who writers thought to make cool. |
pu7pl3:Of course, I expected them to stay against Superman cause none of them knew Clark like Batman and Diana did. And even at that, I loved how mister T tried to point out to Superman how he couldn't save everyone using his methodology by bringing to point cigarettes smokers, drunk drivers and all while still empathizing with Superman. But bats knew his villains killed this man's wife and kid, I was expecting the moment where he will momentarily accept the code was flawed and he should have been the one to kill joker and Harley but he can't cause he would then be the one the world would need to fear. Those kind of talks and momentary human actions that show a character not a plot device, you know. Bats barely did anything to punish joker or Harley. He even had green lantern protect Harley and have her roaming free. Not very intelligent if you ask me. |
pu7pl3:Of course, but that doesn't change the fact he is still human. It's what Nolan and Snyder gets right. Cause he trained himself to mental heights doesn't mean he shouldn't be human. That's the flaw I am talking about. Not this excuse of Batman can beat anyone cause he did eons of training, lol. Yea, I get I am speaking hogwash but it's what you get when you try very hard to relate to a character. Batman obviously has no weakness, like how do I relate with that? Aside that, the film was great but I will appreciate if DC writers wrote Batman as a human not a plot device. If you look at the film again, you would see he was everywhere the plot needed him to be, to the extent he had CCtv spying on green arrow in the arrow cave. As in, what the hell? I know Batman is paranoid but come on, that is so out of character, lol. |
phr0nesis:Nope, on the contrary, a Mary Sue is a character that is perfect and does things to jump the shark. Batman has everything worked out, cause he is Batman. Totally unrelatable. The character is there when the plot needs him to, he does things the plot needs him to even if it's totally out of character or over the top. He is Batman. |
phr0nesis:I disagree here. It wasn't a flaw just a plot convenience like how doomsday is something to kill Superman. |
pu7pl3:I wasn't saying he should be pro Superman, I mean there were better ways and more relatable ways to do it. The story just presented Batman as the ultimate do gooder without empathy towards Superman's pain. I wish they didn't do the scene where Batman was trying to save those psychotics, harlequin should have been jailed by Batman himself. That's my probs with Batman, he is written more as a plot convenience. His character is just made to further the story, which makes him less relatable. Look at wonder woman, she did empathize with Superman till she saw how wrong she was. I was expecting a moment of compromise from Batman till he realizes he was letting emotions get in the way. That's what draws audience and the story would have been better, and we would have appreciated Batman more. I said it some time ago, Batman is not a hero, atleast the way DC writes him. He enjoys fighting his villains, he loves them. Well, that's for the Bruce Wayne version. I love the Thomas Wayne own more, he isn't a Mary Sue. |
TheEnygma:Ben Affleck Batman is the reason I will like the character. If not I hate Batman. The dceu story and Affleck humanized him and made him relatable. He wasn't all broody or calculating every time or self righteous. He acted like an actual person. |
phr0nesis:He didn't. He was all judgmental. Cold and all moral. That isn't flawed. I was thinking maybe he would almost be at the brink of killing Joker before Superman ultimately did then Batman will try to cover up the murder by Superman or something like that. I just hated how Batman was just so saint like without being relatable. Dude, your worst enemy just killed the wife of your best friend and you are protecting him? That's Mary Sue-ish. An all perfect character. |
Kinzo980:Stop fast forwarding your films. I believe raas Al ghul used a toxin to flush it out, didn't he? Average? I don't think so. Rushed? Yea, particularly the resolution. But that's okay, who knows perhaps we may have the live action version someday. We could have if not for WB. |
The ending of Injustice felt too easy to me. Alternate universe Superman and Lois coming to save the day, how convenient. Overall, it was great. Loved how they treated it with a sense of realism. Everyone was flawed, not perfect. Except Batman, who for some reason still remains a saint. I just hate the Batman character to heavens. But the film is 9/10 for me. |
Nickshrapnel:I mean atje and Andy muschieti unwittingly confirm it. The director shouldn't be liking the post if it's something they want to keep out of speculation or media eye. I kinda love when films and directors get secretive till the film is closer to release. At this stage we know too much. The film might suffer cause of this, just like BvS did. |
Nickshrapnel:Also heard Zod is in it. Perhaps there could be a surprise Henry Cavill cameo. I just wish they didn't spoil it. This is my problem with them. They release all these news and hype till there's little surprise in the actual film. |
Nickshrapnel:I actually predicted a billion dollars before it was even made lol |
abduleez1:Seems you are taking this personal. For starters, I never hyped Titans mind you. My opinion was on season 3 of Titans being an improvement to the convoluted mess that was season 2, and if you were paying attention I did say something about Titans and Todd which I and pu7pl3 talked on briefly. Bros, you are mistaken to think I favor one over another. I just want some progressive story, and I don't see a progression whereby a character still hasn't learnt to get a hold of herself, keeps being a mess, still hasn't figured how to control her powers even after two seasons of great focus on the character. There was a time I thought it was the actress being bad. As in, if I went back to season 1, negative man, Jane and Cliff are much different from now. They've grown. Rita and cyborg still the same. And to be fair, besides swamp thing, the HBO Max shows haven't done anything that great, they all got their faults, doom patrol just felt repetitive with two characters still stuck in the plot surrounding identity crisis. Come on, when are they going to feel like a superhero team of misfits? That's what they were in the comics, right? Lastly, are you having a bad day? |
TheKingIsHere:Is it the cinematography or the story? Cause I honestly don't see the cinema level stuff in the story. The story so far is garbage, repetitive, to me. But the picture quality is good. |
TheKingIsHere:Really? And there isn't another character that fits the bill aside cyborg from the actual comics? As in, it's very evident cyborg doesn't belong in the story. He is under utilized, the story doesn't fit the character, he is just forced in and drags the show. Rita is the worst written. |
Skseries:That scene is figurative. It needs no explanation really cause Bruce already said it. The scene didn't happen physically but in Bruce's mind. The death of his parents broke him but Batman saved him by bringing him to the light, which was a beautiful lie, as being Batman took more from him than the deaths of his parents. It's symbolic. And made sense if you watched the ultimate cut to the end. |
Skseries:Tried to build the Barry character. Introduce us to him as a lonely guy out on his own with little connection to the world. It literally showed us Barry and his powers. The scene had a point actually. |
TheKingIsHere:Wait till episode 4. I don't know which angle you guys are seeing it but damn, the show has been repetitive. Episode 4 just killed it for me entirely. So far so good, I will rate it 6/10. The Rita Farr character is the one that is most underdeveloped. Then there's cyborg. Cyborg really shouldn't be in this show, he looks way out. Flex metallo would have been better. Am happy with negative man progression, Jane's too and robotman humor but Rita needs to be killed off with cyborg. Those two drag the show and serve no real purpose except repeat emotional arcs of season 1. |
Skseries:I honestly have no idea. But I would like to think that as Lois and Swanwick got closer, he started to see how important she was or of an impact she is, so he couldn't go to her as Swanwick, cause it would look strange, so he used the appearance of who she would most likely have huge respect for. But the bigger question was, how the heck did Swanwick know Martha? |
Nickshrapnel:That scene didn't come out well and kinda had Bruce acting out of character. Realistically he should be asking questions and damn, how did Jonn jonnz know he is Batman? I even found it strange how Bruce was quick to reveal his secret identity to Aquaman, flash and Lois Lane. Batman never does that. Especially not that soon. |
Doom Patrol still the same as when it first aired. No character development. Characters still whining about same thing they whined about in season 1. When will the writers let these characters grow? I guess it's time I stopped watching. |
pu7pl3:The question is, is he a flash villain? Not just having a speedster who isn't exactly a character's villain to be his bad guy. It's something that annoyed me with arrow, using Batman villains. I don't know much about the red death character but if he is a flash villain, great. But personally I would like to keep it traditional with RF, Black Flash and the rogues, before slowly bringing in the newbies. I mean you can't have Batman origin film introduce red hood as the bad guy, Jason Todd red hood I mean. |
BlackManta:Is Red death a flash villain? Cause it will be strange having scarecrow as a Superman villain like having Red Death be a flash villain. Am new to that though. But I doubt the character is in it. Just hype. |
Silentgroper:Let's take it game by game yet. Am glad midfielders have started chipping in with goals |
Xavier5:Happy Birthday |
"it's not an S. On my world it means Hope"
|
TheKingIsHere:Hope you know I wasn't making any comparison with any company right? I was talking about just one company. My statement wasn't a versus thing to invite any argument. |
TheKingIsHere:Not really. Not like it's a box office thing. Both have different audience and cw has an app for binge watching. So it's not like they are released on same day or same time slot. So I don't see how any will loose. You are speaking based on which you find most appealing to you. Lois and Superman aired same day with Loki, and it didn't suffer. |
Xavier5:Who would want to see a sequel to Titanic? There's something you don't get, some stories are best left in the minds of audience to imagine or live with. Do you think Romeo and Juliet will have stood the test if Shakespeare had written a sequel? |
Xavier5:It doesn't make sense. The beauty of joker is how rare he appears. Having a franchise doesn't make sense when he's best known with Batman. I tell you this sequel will ruin everything about the first one. |
Xavier5:Bro, I disagree. There loads of movies that don't need sequels and there are those that need one. A lot of films have been ruined by sequels that weren't necessary. |

In fact Stargirl and S&L is better than it by a mile. Going by your rating, more than half the Titans characters will need to be scrapped and killed off.
