Half the movies you listed here WASN'T announced, they were only in development.
Development is different from announcing a movie you intend producing or greenlit or releasing a release date.
Development simply means it's story is being worked on and might get ordered to production or not depending on what are studios priorities or target. In development doesn't necessarily translate to "a project will be in production in a few years".


There are many projects stuck in development hell in various studios for years without any future headway.
Fox was developing Avatar sequels with James Cameron for how many years now? Guillermo del Toro is planning Hellboy sequels since how many years now? Master of the Universe live action nko? Red Sonja? Sony's Uncharted ? The last of Us? Black Adam just got into production this month since how many years of casting lead actor?

HBO has 6 GOT prequels in development. That doesn't necessarily mean all will be GREENLIT to series. Learn the difference. The present HBO House of The Dragon set to start filming later this year was only a second prequel in development by HBO. It was only considered and ordered to series ONLY after HBO cancelled a GOT prequel lead by Naomi Watts which had already finished, filmed and completed a pilot episode for the series. Does that make HBO less competent? Off course we know how well acclaimed and how we revere HBO for quality.

At times unforseen circumstances changes plans. Learn to be open minded and stop this whining and critique when you're not in same shoes. Heavy is the head who wears the crown.

The movies The Trench and New Gods being cancelled aren't totally shelved but kept on hold. As WB said they'll be willing to bring back the creatives(writers) for the movies back in the future when it's back for development and greenlighting.

I always smelt something off, and the popularity of the New Gods introduced in the ZSJL made me feel ultimately Ava's movie might be pushed back. Mainly because there needs to be a good amount of time before a new iteration. At least 5 years gap is needed between 2021 and Ava's movie which puts it 2026 Release or shooting.
Obviously she can't be put to wait that long. But when that time reaches and if still interested she will be back. I'd love to see what she'll do with the movie.


As for the Trench, if demand for their stories is there it will be greenlit.

There ain't much window or favourable atmosphere for Ava and Trench movies in the nearest future, so it's best this route they took. It'd be hard for we fans to forget Zack's Darkseid, Steppenwolf and Desaad etc easily without much time.

The singing w0man symbolizes s0mething that's why snyder kept it. And martian martha m0ment also helps introduce who MM is and how c0nnectd he is to earth n0w yet scared to reveal himself. There has to be a build up. Only greedy execs would think of cutting these scenes. LOTR was 4 hours l0ng and the el0ngated landscapes scenes weren't cut.

I'm one of the few people who loved Man of Steel, I thoroughly hated BVS and I thought JL 2017 was meh at best.
However, I enjoyed JL 2017. Even though this movie was about 4 hours long, it never over stayed its welcome

The story is a lot more cohesive and coherent now as opposed to before.
The Flash and Cyborg are given more screen time and as such, they are more likeable in this movie. Even the villain, Stephenwolf is a whole lot better here. He has a new armour and he is more menancing. Even better is that he now has a better back story and motivation. In the previous version he was just constantly whining about "Mother".
The movie also introduces are lot of other concepts that were not in the original movie.

Even though I really loved the movie, some scenes didn't really serve any real purpose and they could have been cut from the movie without damaging the story.
For instance, the scene where Martha Kent had an emotional Heart to heart with Louis is nice and all. But when it was revealed that it was actually Martian ManHunter in disguise, it deflated any emotional edge the scene may have had.
* the long trip Batman made in the beginning and the singing villagers could have been taken out

*the scene where cyborg was adding more money to a woman's account was long and unnecessary.
... You get the picture.


Another thing I didn't like was the over use of the Wonder Woman theme song. The music isn't even that good to begin with and for some reason that decided to play it almost everytime WW was on screen which became very annoying.

Overall, the movie was really enjoyable.
It never tried to be like a Marvel movie in anyway and this is a good thing.
Hopefully, we'll see more of the DCEU Synderverse in future.
