i don't think the writers have explored these things. And if they have, they d0n't let it bear c0nsequences or retc0n it immediately. I mean, readerz can do without joker for about 10 or 5 year gap before he is reintroduced.

am talking abt the c0mics actually n0t n0lan verse. In n0lan verse, the villains were there before batman i.e joker, bane, ra'as, scarecrow. But in the c0mics, bruce is directly or indirectly resp0nsible for the creati0n of his rogues gallery and gotham's descent to crazies. Gotham was your n0rmal c0rrupt city prior to batman. Batman didn't make it any better. So, if u gave gotham to diana, it'd be a better place cos she'd have the wisd0m to manage it. Batman uses fear, hysteria, rage to rule gotham. But it doesn't work on all bad guys like joker, and others, it works negatively on them. Batman pushed gotham to the wall so hard that it drove people mad. I d0n't see batman as the hero or whatever gotham deserved. Batman is equally a bad guy as his villains.

there is s0mething you are misunderstanding, in actuality we aren't arguing why joker is alive, the argument is, why is Joker after being caught always taken to arkham when he ends up getting out only to do m0re damage? You sure can agree the CB writers didn't do alot in that aspect. It makes no sense. I mean, logically, he wouldn't be sent to arkham again if all he does was repeat and rinse. Logically, the law would've found a way to get rid of him if it proves he is very much a danger to society even when mentally challenged. In real life, it's either they place him in a medically induced c0ma, mercy kill him or place him in a military guarded off the b0ok facility; which logically l0oking at it is expensive.

If diana were to run gotham, she'd kn0w where to make c0mpr0mises and where n0t to. She'd be dipl0matic in areas where bruce tend to be vengeful. Basically, i think batman is c0mplicit for why gotham became what it is, a crazy hub. Diana as sole protector wouldn't have inspired crazies like two face, harle quinn, riddler, joker on society. These guys if u check it are in s0me way, a representati0n of batman. Joker is a reminder of how far bruce could go in his quest, 2 face; an insecurity of if bruce can keep up without psychologically shutting down to bec0me the bad guy at the end, harle; the negative spectrum of Bruce's obsessi0n with the crazy, and riddler, you can fill that in. These villains are just s0me part of batman that he inspired on society. Diana wouldn't.
