PoliticsRe: Sen. Akpabio Vs SP Saraki by Minjim: 8:45pm On Aug 05, 2018
dtruth3:
exactly what I was telling one Ngeneukwu-ewu

Saraki is more of electoral value 100times than Akpabio
You ppl don't get it.

Buhari is not popular in the SS and SE at all. So getting a big fish like Apkabio is a big deal.

However, in Kwara (if you know Kwara at all) First remove Offa from Saraki's catchment area because they are his sworn enemies.
With that said, Buhari is also a very popular name in Kwara and most ppl in Illorin have also had enough of the Saraki dynasty.

When you do that permutation, you see that Buhari and Saraki in Kwara is 50/50. Apkabio can at least get 30% for Apc in Cross Rivers

A party that claims to fight corruption is literarily throwing a rock star like party for one of the most corrupt governors this present democratic dispensation or even any at that, has produced, after getting assurances of no-prosecution if he joins APC.
You are even here gloating over it instead of hiding your head in shame and throwing up.
Lots of you on both political divide are real sick and repugnant.
Wait!

Was it Pdp that jailed Nyame and Dariye?

The democratic movement is to counter the almost 98% block votes that comes from the state in 2015. it has been achieved. whether apc win the state or not, it isn't a deal. The real deal has been achieved. the division to secure much votes from sokoto, kano and one other north west zone. Journey to freedom is not easy, but in the end Nigerians will smile again. And be free from depression, tyranny and fake promises.
Nigeria will be free from depression and fake promises by voting which party exactly ?!

Don't tell me you want to kick Apc out just after three years and not provide a better replacement .

Altogether, PMB will smash them all, even in their states. Except for Obi and Apkabio for hatred reasons

PoliticsRe: Why Akpabio Is Threatening To Leave PDP – Source by Minjim: 9:50am On Aug 04, 2018
namet:
Akpabio cannot deliver Akwa Ibom to anybody! It was possible while he was governor. Not now, any longer, where other cocks are also crowing in that state!

What Buhari should do is to go ahead and accept him into the APC. That would make it easy to prosecute and send Akpabio to jail, like the two governors who were recently jailed.

Akpabio is a stand-for-nothing politician. He is a disgrace to Akwa Ibom!
Now you just realized that?

i wanted to blame the APC for threathening him with EFCC but then i was wondering why he is afriad if he is not corrupt, then i later realised that if he joins APC then his corrpution wil be swept under d carpet...this country don tire me
What kind of narrative us that, so Saraki, Kwankaso, Melaye and Tambuwal that left Apc are clean? Who among our politicians in Nigeria is not dirty?

We seen two past governors that jumped into Apc to avoid jail time being convicted by this same Apc govt but ppl are still talking trash. If those convicted were from Pdp I'm sure you ppl will be protesting by now.
Whether he joins Apc or not, if he has something to hide- Efcc will come for him
Only Akpabio knows what's chasing him. But I'm sure, whatever it is, it's for his personal gratification.

PoliticsRe: Why Do Igbos Hate Buhari and APC? by Minjim:
naijaking1:
Incase you are not aware !

Between 1983 and 1985, Peter Onu of Nigeria was Acting Secretary-General of the OAU. At the 1985 Summit in Addis Ababa, statesmen like Julius Nyerere, President of Tanzania, lobbied for his election as substantive Secretary-General. However, there was a major stumbling block to Peter Onu’s candidature: his Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, was campaigning against him. Buhari claimed: “This generation of Nigerians and indeed future generations have no other country than Nigeria.” But when the crunch came, his allegiance to Nigeria disappeared. In the election of the OAU Secretary-General in 1985, Buhari voted against Nigeria and for Niger instead. He secured the election of Ide Oumarou, a Fulani man from Niger; as opposed to an Igbo man from Nigeria. By so doing, Buhari became the first and only Head of State in the history of modern international relations to vote against his country in favour of his tribe... - Vanguard, February 3, 2015

The article is both interesting and troubling. At first I thought it was fake news. Then, I googled it and found it to be a true account in the book titled – _The OAU: Reality Or Fiction by Ibrahim Daggash, former Head of Information and Communication, Organization of African Unity (OAU); pg 69; ISBN 1-9044722-25-3._
Whilst the refusal of Gen. Mohammadu Buhari to aid the election of his country man to head the OAU in preference to his fellow Fulani Muslim from another country (Niger) is a glaring example of this man’s mindset is troubling, most troubling from the Author’s account was his reaction when the vote was tallied and Gen. Buhari found out his country man was defeated. Ibrahim Daggash in his aforesaid book narrated it as follows:
_“What was astonishing, when the vote was in favour of Niger’s candidate, the Nigerian Head rejoiced to such a degree that he was unable to control his emotions. That was a moment I witnessed and was convinced that General Buhary would not last long as a leader.”_

It is sad indeed ...!
Chai! Ipobs at it again

Onu was nominated by Nigeria to assume acting capacity as SG after the previous OAU SG who just finished his 5yr tenure.

Delays in holding a substantive election by Congress saw Onu acting for 2yrs.

Onu was not even nominated for the election by the Nigerian government. So his name was not even on the ballot.
This falsehood had been dispelled already.

He was saving money to bribe delegates so he could win the Apc primary but as God would have it, there was change of plan.

The direct primary is a development for our democracy cos it puts power in the people's hands

Meanwhile why can the NASS or president allow the statuo quo to remain huh
You don't amend the electoral act for selfish reasons. Buhari will leave one day, then what happens? We change it again?

Moreover, the electoral act was enacted by a pdp govt. Now they feel it doesn't serves them again. They just wanna change it?

it will be madnesses reinforcing failure, APC is no longer an option, they are not suitable for governance, even if you give them one hundred years, they can't deliver,it about competence and character,if you want to be sincere, you will know they don't have it, and Nigeria and it's people are too great for any gamble or experimentation or to be used to fulfill people's fantasies and ambition.
For now, the choice is between Apc and Pdp.

And by all criteria, Apc seems a better evil.

you got it all wrong by involving Jonathan, people will always have ambition, there will always be election performance or no performance people will always make choices based on their own prefered criteria only they have to live with the consequences of their choice as they are doing now.
Nigerians don't want much. That's why they stood besides pdp for 16 years despite their failures and looting spree.

Some of us just got tired in 2015. I have been tired of Pdp since way back. So, most ppl that voted Pdp out in 2015 did so because with pdp Nigeria is going nowhere.

I'm now more confident in Apc now that theyve been purge of some of their pdp symptoms of corruption
PoliticsRe: ”if Not For Shame & Fear Of EFCC, Amaechi & Tinubu Would Have Dumped APC ” Reno by Minjim: 11:22am On Aug 01, 2018
Ndonu101:
Amaechi will eventually dump APC, if not before 2019, after.

Tinubu will not leave APC, but he will not work for Buhari come 2019. Tinubu will rally his troops during state elections and then go to sleep during Federal Election.

If Osibanjo is a man of conviction who is truly a SAN and Pastor, he needs to ask not to be selected for re-election that he wants to go and rest with his grandchildren.
