This is all a strategy to monopolize the sector.

The more the merrier.

Foreign AffairsRe: I Honestly Pity All These Other NATO Countries by Minjim: 9:02am On Jun 09, 2023
thesicilian:
I think part of the reasons those nations align with America is that their leaders were installed by the American government in the first place. That's why they can't really say no to America. It's part of the deal. One of US modus operandi is to topple governments that are against their interests and put in puppet leaders instead
How can the US install a leader so close to Russia?

How possible is that, if Russia had not been a bad neighbour. It's Russia' s attitude to it's neighbours that made they seek help miles away.

So turning to Russia for help is not an option for it's neighbours because all Russia wants is subjugate them
PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Expenditure From 2005 To 2022 by Minjim: 12:32am On Jun 07, 2023
Corridon:
The question is: Will Bola use the money saved from subsidy to improve the life of average Nigerian and make our country a better place for everyone or will he loot it dry through alpha beta and Iyaloja general?
How is the money saved when NNPC claimed they FG didn't even pay for it and FG is owing it.

I'm highly disappointed in Tinubu already. Instead of doing his homework and cleaning the fraud in NNPC, It the people he's decided to face.

With the rate of corruption in government, there is no palliative that can get to Nigerians from FG. Be it cash payments or basic supplies.
Fuel subsidy is the only palliative the FG gives Nigerians for being citizens of a crude oil-producing nation. And they still feels it's out fault they and their friends are stealing the money

Welcome to the 🚀 Hypersonic club.

Ony 3 countries in the world have successfully developed and fielded hypersonic missiles.

🇷🇺 Russia, 🇨🇳 China & 🇮🇷 Iran.

Great powers are rising in the East.
The US is not interested in any further innovation in developing weapon of mass destruction.
What' are the benefits?

Except to subjugate another country ?

PoliticsRe: President Tinubu And The Dangers Of Fuel Subsidy Removal - Kperogi by Minjim: 11:38am On Jun 03, 2023
dontiky:
we all know subsidy removal is good but not for a country with majority of its citizens poor. You see the full effect of this within a month. Those who survive doing petty business will not be able to survive by the time price of commodities increase. Countries that succeed with this have stable electricity and good road and
rail system for transportation of goods and people. Everything in Nigeria totally depends on fuel. I bet you millions of Nigerians cannot cope in this present condition buhari left us in
This sudden increase is too huge.
Soon it'll start affect prices of commodities
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu And The Dangers Of Fuel Subsidy Removal - Kperogi by Minjim: 11:35am On Jun 03, 2023
datola:
Hmm... Mr Kperogi.

Nigeria cannot survive further subsidy payment. America is 1,000 richer than Nigeria and can afford to subsidize

The issue of fixing refineries does not even profer any solution because it will still be sold at market price. And can those refineries ever work again after sinking billions every year in year out.

If I were them FG I would sell off the refineries at any amount offered than be spending so much on it for decades without any positive results.
Why not? Is it the masses fault politicians are corrupt?

What palliative does the Fg give Nigerians?
All we hear are figures. I have never received or known anyone that has received. I don't even know anyone that knows anyone that has received before.
This subsidy is the only palliative that everyone gets.

FF should clean up their acts and stop making the poor pay for their inefficiency and lack of creativity
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu And The Dangers Of Fuel Subsidy Removal - Kperogi by Minjim: 11:30am On Jun 03, 2023
pandoragirigory:
Tinubu is trying to accelerate good governance, but Nigeria of tribalism and religious sentiments is not ripe for it, he should put some modalities in place to cushion the undesirable effects of high fuel purchase after subsidy
Which should happen first?
Putting modalities in place as you stated, then removing subsidy

Or

Removing subsidy , then talk about putting modalities in place. Cos that's all we hear now. And we know palliative never get to the right people in Nigeria

Tinubu is just another corrupt leader trying cover the tracks of his friends

PoliticsRe: We Won’t Fix Petrol Prices Again – NMDPRA by Minjim: 11:16am On Jun 03, 2023

PoliticsRe: Dangote, PH Refineries, Others Won’t Change Fuel Price – NNPCL by Minjim: 8:21am On Jun 02, 2023
dyera:
It simply means that Dangote will include all of those cost when deciding the amount he will sell his product even though he is not paying for them. Reason why Dangote price will be the same as importers.
They should check the statistics of countries that refine locally and see whether they don't sell cheaper locally. Why must ours always be different?

So Dongote won't make any difference, why all the noise about his refinery then?
These people are not being honest

clearcrystal:
Who told you Dangote will start refining in July 😂.
Buhari only commission the Refinery so that Tinubu won't take the glory. The Refinery is far from ready.

The best bet is to remove it now and let's all face the consequence. FG don't have the money to subsidize PMS any longer.
The money FG borrowed from NNPC to subsidize PMS in 2022 has not been paid back.
Fg borrowed money from NNPC, what sort of scam is that?

They should tell is another lie

maintenant:
Tell me why you cannot like Rufai...

A man with the propensity to use common sense ...

This Odiri guy was just talking theory if not blindly...

You compel marketers to sell at a pump price? How?

Have you put a framework/mechanism for restocking them?

Where are the refineries to supply cheaper fuel? Even Dangote will not be able to provide fuel before July...

What is this man talking about?

You just talking ineffectual theory with no practical experience about how things work in real life...
Why can't they just delay the remover till July when Dangote will start refining?

Because they don't want to bring the price down from #185.
They prefer to bring it down from #500 and put it somewhere around #300

Tinubu will be sworn in before noon on 29th, so what's your point?
Moh247:
cool

Under the law nothing like Chief of Staff, Minister of State, Special Adviser, State Chief Security Officer , INEC IREV website and Database

However the law gives the Executive absolute power of delegation, Governors , President, head of ministry can delegate responsibility and appoint

Another intresting about Nigerian Constitution.

By 12am May 29 Buhari stops been President, the sit of power is empty until 12pm when Tinubu is sworn in by the CJN

The UK Government was already planning to limit immigration.

However, the guy's utterances gave validation to the policy.

Nigerians are not the highest or even second highest numbers in that wise.

You don't see Indians and other Asians who drive the highest numbers of likewise immigration in the UK coming to speak like this.

The UK Government is holding India's priced diamond, Other European countries drove slavery and all, yet their citizens don't discuss those to shine before a camera. Thy tell you to move on.

The guy could have just held his opinion with tact and moved on, since the UK Government had already decided, right?

Validation and opinions like this have been used to do things
The interview did not influence the UK Government's policy. The policy wasn't thought of in a day or spontaneously. It's as a result of certain statistics that the UK govt noticed.
I'm glad you know Nigerians aren't the most guilty of this. After all it's not directed at only Nigerians
TravelRe: Emdee Tiamiyu, Nigerians Use Study To Gain UK Entry (Video) by Minjim: 7:51am On May 24, 2023
What's all these? As if the UK Government is oblivious to it.
The UK already has the statistics. Nigerians aren't even the most populous migrants in UK. Indians and Pakistanis are doing this more than Nigerians and the UK Government knows it.
