aybabz101: I dont know what the strike aims to achieve......coz the government cannot keep on subsidizing fuel. Their strike is technically to increase minimum wage which will only apply to the government workers and corporate workers with the vast population still the same...
this thing is simple....the government needs money to keep running which at the moment the government don't have, cos over 90% of their earnings is spent on debt servicing....... therefore, subsidy must go!
im also a citizen feeling the pain oooo......but the truth nothing any body can do at the moment....the country has been terribly ran by successive administrations and we are now feeling the results of poor management....
In fact, i believe the worst is yet to come...talking from economic facts and figures without emotions...... Over 90% was spent on debt serving. Who collected those debt? What did they do with it? Why can't the government put palliative measures in place before removing subsidy? This current pricing is dubious. There is nothing like Market forces here. It just NNPC fixing prices and others following. If you've noticed, NNPC is always the first to increase its pump price. Then the next day every marketer will adjust. There are lies in this subsidy remover. This current price is not justifiable because just last year NNPC gave us a smaller figure. I'm supporting this strike. FG is carrying on as if the masses are not suffering. This is a callous FG. We need to unite |

There are no generous parents in my school. And the prorietress is a dictator. I took to final year kids for an exam in Lagos last Saturday and this woman didn't make any arrangement for transport. I had to use my money to transport them when the parents started getting agitated. This an exam parents had paid her for the logistics. I am just praying to get a better job before resumption. Teaching in some private schools is very tasking and not rewarding at all. I'm always borrowing before the month ends |

FreeStuffsNG: Ignorance is bliss. Go and work hard first.
The era you were born with the hope that govt will train, feed and educate you for your parents is gone. Go and create something valuable in the market place and exchange it for money. Subsidy on petrol is gone.
If crude oil price falls, petrol, like kerosene, diesel and gas, will fall. We don't give free petrol o so go and work hard and quit the social media idle banters.
No Nigerian should be subsidising petrol for same ruling class that are overpaid and privileged. Let the poor man breathe. If the huge trillions wasted on petrol subsidy benefits the poor man, it can unleash his potentials. Enough of giving privileged people like you subsidy on petrol and electricity. The greatest folly is to be fooled and not know it. They can fool some of you , but not all of us. Let's take Angola for example, which is the 2nd largest producer of crude in Africa ( by the way, the 1st is Nigeria). Their petrol is subsidies by the government and they also reduce taxation on it. So a litre goes for 300 Angola Kwanza. Mind you, N1 = 1.0716. Angola kwanza. Find details in the pictures and tell me whether this man is lying or not. I'm not insinuating anything. I just want you to discover the difference yourself

Nigeria is not the type of country you leave in the hand of Market Forces.
Nigerians are cruel people that can do anything to do nothing and gain big. That's why you see every little businesses having union. It's all to control the price to favour their thirst.
That's also why govt can't leave certain business in the hands of capitalist. They will strangle the masses |

Get your facts right. Ukraine isn't fighting Russia. Ukraine is only defending it's territory and people. It was Russia that invaded Ukraine. Masterviolence:
 Premature
All this noise will not be heard after that summit in Lithuania.
Ukraine joining NATO is all but a dream, there's a reason over 30 countries don't want to go to war with Russia.
Alone, no country can win a war against Russia conventionally, yet Ukraine decide to fight against them for an outsider
The pace of this war was decided in the beginning by Putin and Russia, because taking over Ukraine in the beginning would've been a grave mistake for the Russians, a borden too heavy to carry. Also killing while fighting against your own people is easier said than done.
The phase of this war now is for Ukrainians to go to the Frontlines and die. |

Education › A Candidate Once Sued JAMB Claiming His Result Was The Highest. by Minjim(op): 8:45am On Jul 05, 2023 |
FCT, Abuja - John Chinedu, a 19-year-old student who sued the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for allegedly changing his UTME result has been handed to the police for alleged result manipulation and forgery. According to BBC News Pidgin, Chinedu through his lawyer Akaiwe Ikeazor sued JAMB for one billion Naira. He claimed the examination body changed his result for 2019, 2020 and 2021. However, after reportedly giving Chinedu plenty of opportunities to confess, JAMB registrar Professor Ishaq Oloyede, opened the examination body's server to prove that the student manipulated the result. It was gathered that his original UTME score is 265 while he allegedly forged it and changed it to 380. He was handed to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution. Results manipulation and forgery is a criminal offence. https://www.legit.ng/1432612-jamb-candidate-who-sued-jamb-allegedly-changing-his-utme-result-lands-police-net-accused-forgery.html

Years back i once enrolled for G.C.E. and there is this particular subject i didn't write even though i enrolled it because i don't need it, when the results came out i saw F9. They thought they might have misplaced the answer script, hence, they decided to award F9. What 3million to JAMB? We have no option but to trust JAMB. JAMB is a federal organisation with diverse ethnic representations so I find it absurd when some people say it's a ploy to cheat Igbos. JAMB have offices in all states of the federation and most of their staff in Anambra must be Igbos. I don't think those one will sit back while an Igbo girl is being cheated. JAMB is the only Body with the authority to confirm whether the result is fake or not. We have no iota of reason not to trust JAMB except one is just being mischievous |

chatinent: My point is how would she input her number to print and another QR Code comes out. QR Codes don't come out like that...but in her case, the QR Code is not fake but according to Jamb, the result is. Also, the 336 according to Jamb belong to neither of both. And that make Jamb claims look with a copy and paste forgery...and seemingly reasonable.
The bearer of the QR Code is number 11231597AC :: Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle :: 138 (score).
Sth is really going on! There is a site that upgrades JAMB results. The also help candidates to generate JAMB QR codes. But whatever the do can't be authenticated by JAMB. JAMB should question their office in Anambra to resolve this issue |

The girl upgraded her result from a dubious site that upgrades JAMB results.
The one she is holding was the old printout.
1. She and those that upgraded the result weren't banking on JAMB changing their printout format.
2. They over played it in making it the highest score.
3. She should have just lay low and not brandish the result publicly claiming it's the highest.
4. Igbos are being unnecessarily dramatic and emotionally as usual. Always claiming to be the victim. |
