opella: if you can get the pap(3 in 1) from a reliable source i.e prepared in a neat environment, you are good to go, just add your baby's formular to it with maybe a little sugar and feed your LO. I don't give my baby cereals, just pap and formular and he is as healthy as can be. nice but i dont use sugar, just formula and its sweet. |

rezzy: Humm, I don't taste baby's food. It's always irritating to me. For the egg and pap, I learnt it from my aunty. I mix the raw egg when cooking the pap and also add formula when feeding him.
He takes fish and meat. He doesn't allow me to feed him (rice, indomie and spaghetti.) he turns the plate upside down and start picking them.
If I dare put any other food in his mouth, he will spoil his face and start shaking like someone that wants to have convulsion. .
Ok, I will keep giving him. Thanks ma my daughter looks at my mouth to see if am eating the food first before opening her mouth. i taste everything oh, na me and her dey finish the pap though i mix mine with normal milk. |

rezzy: So I heard oo. But the frequent wee wee, gives me headache
I tried it around August. I mixed egg with pap. He likes it but the odour made me vomit (morning sickness). I tried pap with crayfish, he rejected it. Then I stopped.
Thanks ma Ooops... the egg with pap will surely nauseate one, i've never tried pap with crayfish sef. i give pap (millet, maize, and soya) with formula. I ran out of this mixture, then someone directed me to somewhere in Ogba - i bought from them and its really nice. I couldnt differentiate between theirs and the home-made pap i was using. Though theirs has millet, maize, guinea corn, soya, groundnut. |

tchiwinnie: Motherhood is really nt easy. I think ur baby's welfare shld come first? wots d nature of ur current job? who looks after d baby nw? schl abi nanny? u need to consider various alternatives first, b4 u decide. mitche15: Mothers in the house o, has anyone had to resign from work to take care of her baby and then got back to work wen the baby was older? I want to do this but with unemployment wahala, should I just endure with nannies or just resign. My baby isn't getting the care she deserves. Advice pls, I am confused. I support Tchiwnnie's suggestion. which are you not comfortable with? the nanny at creche or home nanny? if its a home nanny - she can be changed and if its a creche, you can change your baby's creche or make a report to the school authority - after all you're paying for it. There's another option, which some of my colleague use. They bring their nanny and baby along to work, because we have a cozy lounge in the office where they use. This way they can monitor the nanny and correct any anomaly. I didn't go with this option because i didnt want friends and colleagues carrying my baby, so i chose creche. But recently, i didn't like the attitude from one of the caregivers to the babies and i made an anonymous report about it to the school authority. (anonymous so my baby wont be victimized) The next day this particular nanny was removed from the creche and replaced with someone else. Truth be told, we cant expect perfection from them, no one can take care of our babies better than us. Resigning from work is not that easy, it changes a lot of things especially when hubby's income alone cannot suffice. Kindly consider other options before resigning. Its well with you dear. |

joyousf: mamas that give their lo pear ( I hope that's same thing they call avocado o!) how do u preserve it since ur baby isn't likely to finish it all at once. can I freeze or refrigerate it till d next day or time ? thanks Obviously, baby cant eat an entire avocado even though it's nutritious and has a buttery flavour and texture. It's advisable to mash or puree half the flesh and wrap the other half with the pit still inside to keep it from getting brown. You can also store pureed avocado in ice-cube trays. |

Mamabigboy: Good day mamas, Happy independence. Please Mamas, do I need to add the same number of scoop of formula to the pap I give my LO as suggested on the feeding table? Remeber that the feeding table talks about water and formula, not pap and formulr, and pap is thicker than water. I just want to know so as to be guided. Thanks. The sweetness of pap is actually the milk but i dont follow any rule. The quantity am feeding her at that time determines the number of scoop i use. e.g 60ml of pap - i use 1 scoop of enfamil mixed in very little bottled water since the pap is already hot. I noticed when i add too much milk, my daughter doesnt take it, so this guide works for me. |

Btw d serving size indicated Is 50g, any idea how many scoops that might be? Anyho gave my baby 5scoops n 2scoops of his formula (aptamil), that ok? TX dear Oh thats good, i do 3 scoops n 1 scoop of formula (Enfamil) cos enfamil scoop is big. You can try pap (corn, millet and soya). Amala and Ewedu - i also give my baby Amala and ogbonno soup, soyamaize. I tried very soft watery plain noodles today and she whooped it down. |

contactlahrie: Hello beautiful mamas, how are ur LOs?Trust everyone is doing well.I have been having sleepless nights cos my nanny who has bn absolutely awesome will be leaving in Dec(going hom to help babysit for her daughter).my baby just clocked 1,my hubby&i close late (not by choice) so even if we start creche now,i av no idea who will be picking her up cos most creches close by 7pm which is late already.how are d working mums doing it cos it just seems impossible to find a reasonable solution.i wish i cld be a stay@home mum but its not an option.even if im lucky to find another nanny, she cant pick my child up frm creche with keke or bike. Anyone with any bright ideas? Wld appreciate ur response. Thanks You may have to use a creche close to your office. Thats what i do, cos i and hubby close late and we dont have anyone to do pick ups for us. I also did not want to give myself high B.P when there's traffic and am rushing back home to pick my daughter. It happened to my colleague, she left office at 5pm with the hope to get to her sons creche by 5:30pm only for the road to be standstill. she alighted from her hubby's car and started walking to the creche which was still a distance, she finally got a bike that took her there and that was 7pm (her sons food had finished, all his diaper had also been used and he had poo in his bum bum) she cried that day ehnnn and immediately registered the boy close to our office. Since then she's had peace of mind. Since i close late, i pick my daughter by 4pm and bring her to my office. Then we close by 6pm. so even if the whole of lagos is on standstill, am rest assured my world is by me smiling. |

The reloaded worked only the first day, after which she was hospitalized for malaria. After the hospital discharged us, she was given vami-vite multivitamin and its working like pro. She rushes 100ml of cereal from a bottle with one suck, when i try to use spoon she will cry cos spoon is slow and she's in a hurry to eat now. Her weight improved within 4 days i used this vita - vite. Am so happy now, cos her not eating was giving me sleepless night. |

I'm writing here on behalf of Ayolight daughter's who is ill and need a surgery. please she's a part of us, I implore us to at least pay a thousand naira(#1000) each to help this strong Angel, my husband said she has tried to habe survived this long. They live very close to my area though the mum might not know me and my husband was privileged to be among the doctors that attended to her in Eksuth.
She still needs about 3.5million naira.
Please mothers, I'm pleading on behalf of this angel, she needs our help to survive.
There's a thread on both the health and family section for those that are not aware. www.nairaland.com/2517785/save-light-great-fighter

OmogeNG: Makari is good for adults, but I personally wouldnt use their baby products. Probably because when I hear Makari, my mind immediately goes to skin lightening lol. My sister uses makari for her kids and the first daughter is still very dark. The difference between her and a random dark girl is the glow, her black shines - makes her skin radiate even though it's dark. I use same for my daughter and she's not oyinbo, but looking at her skin gives the impression of ajebutter. Makari baby products is good for those that can afford it. |

OmogeNG: IPV and OPV are the same...just the method of delivery is different. No ma'am. As part of the Polio eradication endgame, the WHO is trying to phase out the Oral Polio and replace it with the Inactivated IPV which is what will be used after polio eradication. IPV is now available in Nigeria as part of the Polio endgame plan. They are trying to phase out OPV and replace with IPV for the post polio free Nigeria era. imurboss: Hello mamas, how are we all coping & hope our los are cooperating . Please for mamas who are feeding their los on Enfamil( I know they are many here),kindly advice me on the measurement for baby's age e.g my baby is 4mths+,the previous formular I used,I measure 210ml water & 7level scoops of formular for his age but for Enfamil,I'm not so sure of the measurement hence the need to ask
P.S - please u mamas should not ignore my question because u have once ignored me.Abeg make una answer o.God bless us all Enfamil is one scoop to 20z of water, then depending on the quantity your lo can finish at once you may increase appropriately. 4oz will require 2 scoop. |
