ekpotek: Only the ECO can determine your chance. However since your husband have a good travel history and have been to the U.K. before, he stand a good chance of getting the visa in spite of the US visa denial. I will suggest that both of you contribute to trip and if it the visit is for vacation, do a list of places to visit, where to stay etc. Okay. Thank you kindly. |

ekpotek: No. Your passport will be least than six months validity required for a tourist visa. Get a new one. Okay, thank you. I'm to apply alongside my husband and my infant daughter. He has an expired Schengen visa and has been to the UK, Spain, and Greece once. But recently he was denied a US visa with the reason that he's now married and shouldn't go on vacation alone. So now he wants us to go as a family, he earns above 400k while i earn above 200k (he is our sponsor). I and my daughter's passports are virgin, do you think we'd have a good shot at it. |

Oluqueen: Evening wonderful mammas, I have being off for a while. Please I need help/ advise , anything to just make my baby girls stop feeding at night. No matter what they eat at night, they still wake up like two times before daybreak. They are 16 months o!. I don tire, please what can I do?
God bless you all. Let them eat very well by 10pm then wake up by 3am to give them tea, they wont wake till morning. 1 week of consistency, they'll adjust to your timetable then with time you wont need to wake up by 3am anymore. Presently, i give my daughter indomie and egg or pounded yam and draw soup by 10pm, then wake at 3am to give her 150ml of thick tea till 6am before i'd wake her to start her meal again. She's 15months and goes to creche so i do my best at night to cover up for whatever meal she may have missed during the day at the creche. |

teeohelyou: Good day mummies, I am a first timer here and I have a number of questions. First, my baby is 7weeks and he loves food like seriously. But the breast milk is not enough for him. He sucks for hours and afterwards start crying. I was adviced to get SMA, he took it and it purged him. Then I changed to COMPLAN and I'm having the same complain. Pls advice Mama, you're really a first time mum. Complan is not a formula!!! SMA gold 1 is what your baby's age range should be taking. Make sure you adhere to the preparation instruction on the tin. Similac 1 is very mild for the tummy but its quite pricey. A tin should be between 12k and 13k. Please don't starve that baby, get the praparation right and he wont purge. You can also try Nan 1. |

I use milkteeth toothpaste and a little brush 4her but we don't brush daily as I was told since she swallows the content of the paste it may harm her system if we do brush daily. Pls how do I ensure a good hygiene and tackle this mouth odour. Pls don't read and pass abeg You need to clean her tongue very well with the brush to eliminate odour, brushing the teeth alone with paste wont achieve that. I use a finger brush to clean my gurl's tongue and she's a month younger than your child. |

My Story : for like 3wks, my instinct have been tell me my housegirl is pregnant, I brushed it aside, thinking how can, but my mind kept on telling, I had to ask her, she told me No aunty, am not pregnant, even with that I couldn't get it off my mind, so on Saturday, all thru the night I was really disturb and I was really dreaming about her,I just told God, show me who this girl is, y is she on mind even in my dream, I saw her sitting alone, looking tattered and disturb(that was in my dream) also crying. I woke up, it was pass 5am, My mind told me walk out gentle and I went to check on her, I saw her in the backyard Vomiting seriously, I was shocked, i ask her y she was vomiting, she said malaria, but I didn't believe her. I started questioning her, and she confessed she was indeed pregnant, Mamas I was shocked, I thank God she didn't abort in my house or anything bad happened to her, what will I have done? Aim07: Many thanks to u for prompt response, pls is texturizer the same as detangler? If no, will i get it in any supermarket? Its not the same thing as a detangler. Its in the family of relaxer. You should get it from a good and well stocked supermarket. |

Aim07: Pls can this detangler soften stubborn natural hair of a kid, my 3yr's old kid has stubborn, am thinking of retouching her hair but can this be a substitute? and how much is it? It instantly eliminates tangles and knots and the appearance of dry split ends. Hair becomes easily manageable with rich, luxurious shine. Most detanglers are formulated with natural herbal extracts to help nourish, strengthen and fortify; it also helps prevent hair loss due to breakage. With a detangler, the comb sails through my daughter's thick kinky hair with ease! I didn't check the price, because i bought it along with several other things. Instead of retouching your girl's hair with a relaxer, why not try a texturizer; texturizers work in the same way as chemical relaxers with a few minor differences. They are not as harsh or damaging to the hair, and they do not completely straighten hair as dramatically as chemical relaxers. Instead, texturizers loosen the natural curls in a person’s hair. |

MrsNimat: Good mornin mama am an ftm and my lo is not adding well she is 2 months old now, please what type of.milk or supplement can I give her so she add weight like her peers, thank you veri much as u respond.and also am goin to enrol her in a creche once she is 3 months pls does anyone knw a very good creche in gbagada lagos.thank you for ur endless aupport. Your pocket and baby's milk tolerance will determine the choice of formula you go for. There're several in the market: Similac, Enfamil, Aptamil, SMA Gold, Thrive signature, Nan, peak etc,. You may need to supplement her breast feeding with formula immediately since she's not gaining weight now and would soon start creche. except you're #teamexclusive. It's advisable you search for a good creche yourself with proximity top most in mind. A good creche should have the following: The place must be well ventilated, spacious, neat and well secured ( i do not subscribe to parlour system creche) The floor must be fully padded with either a rug or mat. There should be cctv There should be sleeping cots, rockers, lots of indoor toys and play equipment There should be a TV showing cartoons or nursery rhymes and not telemundo or africa magic At least 1 Female caregiver to 2 babies (no man oh) A supervisor who monitors the activities of the caregivers Check like 3 or 4 creches before making your choice. Your baby is very young, please visit her every afternoon until she isn't interested anymore in your visits ( it's a lot of work but it will help you breastfeed her, thats why its important the creche is close by). Well done! |

sheweezy: First of all, relax mama. Let me share my experience. My baby weighed 3.8 at birth, 6.8 wt 6 weeks and i was so happy. Suddenly baby D just stopped eating including breastmilk o. He stopped sucking at 6 months. There was no cereal i disnt try, tom brown, ordinary pap, adult food, food and fruit purees, he just wont take it. He may go for 9 hours without food. The only thing he takes is water. I cant count the number of times i v complained here, ask the pediatricians, every available platform. I tried abidec, welkid went as far as bco and guess what, non worked. So i gave up and turned prayer warrior and mind you he was having episodes of diarhoea o without feeding. I let him be cos i was exhausted. As long as he is strong and meeting his milestones. He was growing faster than his mates sef. That was the peace i had. Guess what, when i stopped worrying that was when baby D started eating. Now he can eat for africa and he is 10 months. I force him to eat twice a day before and now he eats not less than 5 times a day, wakes up twice at night to eat. He just started eating every and anything, adult food, snacks, cereals just anything. Moral lesson of my epistle ma is that relax, sometimes children can make u fee like you dont know what you are doing, as long as you are doing your best, leave the rest. Dont give up but dont beat yourself up. My baby started eating well at 10months.your baby will be fine you hear. Have a great day y'all Motherhood!!! Things mamas do for their children (you turned prayer warrior). Brings to mind how my mum used to spend nights on her knees interceding for me, thank God for her cos those prayers shaped my life. If it weren't for her prayers i'd have been on the street hawking my body. Thank you mothers for sacrificing so much, God continue to strengthen us and give us long life and divine health to reap the fruits of our labour. |

babythug: I completely agree that the unscheduled visits help to keep them.on their toes and truly Your method sounds very good and ideal but I tell you a typical working class mum in Lagos may not be able to achieve this.typical scenario is people who work on the island and live on the mainland. Most will leave home between 5.30am and 6.30am daily except one has a driver it'll be cumbersome dragging a baby through traffic at that time of the morning and of course we all know what traffic is like in the evenings. Alone with a crying baby your eyes will see wen if the pikin begin cry!!!!! That's if you even have a car sef. The costs of creche on the island nko? That's another matter entirely.
May God just help us to make the right choices for our children at every point in time. My dear, i did it oh. I be proper Lagos working class mum and I drive everyday in traffic with my daughter, most times i look for safe spot by the road and park to breastfeed/pacify her before i continue my journey. It was difficult but i didnt have another choice - i just had to manage the situation well and get the best out of it. I even had to get this kiddies ipad with cartoons and positioned it in front of her car seat, she will watch, dance and doze off. At some time, i even preferred going to work with cabs and BRT cos my baby doesn't cry when i'm carrying her. That's motherhood! I once complained to my elder sis how stressful my new life is and she told me "Thats motherhood! it's not by getting pregnant - the real thing is having the baby, taking good care of the baby and sacrificing everything for the baby." In some families parenthood is planned! Also note that, the cheaper a creche is, the more useless the caregivers are cos a cheap creche cant afford a well trained caregiver that understands the implication of drug abuse. Neither can they afford to have a CCTV where live feed are monitored from an office (the caregivers feel monitored and won’t dare to ignore a baby that needed attention) or uninterrupted power supply. Recently, some creche just introduced skype call-in, where the TV in the crèche serves for entertainment and doubles as a monitor so parents can call in through Skype to see their babies while they are at work. If you want the best hands to handle your baby, it must cost something. My God help us! Parenthood cost a lot, i cant buy asoebi the way i used to and i cant attend owambe the way i used to. It pains me but what can i do? |

Newmum15: Pls mamas I need your advice o.My son is almost 9 months and he has refused adult food.I have tried amala and ewedu(blended crayfish and titus fish), mashed sweet potatoes, egg yolk and even pap but he turned them down. All he takes is heinz bottle food(rice pudding, egg custard and their fruity yoghurt/custard).my main concern is, im scared these foods arent nutritious but he wont take any other food. What do I do? Cc @Miraclemum @Onegai @babythug and gbogbo mummies....Epp me o Consistency is the secret oh! For amala and ewedu, my daughter refused to take the swallow in balls so i made the amala porridge like (came out like cereal) then i poured the soup in the porridge and used spoon to feed her as though its cereal. she finished the portion served licking her lips. I wash beans (as though am preparing moi moi) cook till tender with soft ripe plantain, crayfish, half of a small fresh pepper, titus fish, onion, and palm oil. when the beans with all the contents mentioned is fully cooked, i pour into a food processor (blender will work too) and turn to puree cos this babe of mine will not swallow any food with particles. I'm concerned also about his eating only rice pudding and egg custard because the nutritional content in these two is quite low. Have you tried giving him cereals? It's not easy, but keep trying. |

At 4/5 months old, i was visiting my lo every afternoon to breastfeed. Yours is even younger and deserves your presence in the afternoons, thats the reason the creche must be close to where you work, your shop or home. At 13 months now, i still pay them unscheduled visits. You'd be amazed what you'll discover when you do. |

kilonso001: On Tuesday for example, I dropped half a tinful of Nutrilac and was told he finished it by evening when i went to pick him. Meanwhile, he doesnt eat that much when he is at home with me.
Whenever they call me from the office that his food has finished, I have a friend who I call and plead with to help me buy a tin of food and drop at the creche till I come back in the evening when I can repay her. Please check your baby's bib, all the food could be going there instead of the mouth. Then if you have another option of a good creche, please change his creche then you'd know the truth. |

fineice1: Hello mama in the house.my GI l clocked 5month today what food can I introduce to her? She has been on SIMILAC sensitive formular but not getting the enough weight I'm surprised your baby isn't gaining enough weight with Similac formula. Aside being the most expensive formula in the market, it also has the highest nutritional contents compared to others esp the fat content. Most babies on Similac are obese. Why? Because Similac is light unlike enfamil and others that're thick so a baby on Similac isn't satisfied fully even after taking it. So most babies on Similac feed more often than others to really get full. You can't do ijebu with Similac oh else baby will starve. If you were doing 2 hours feed for your baby, reduce it by 30 mins and you'd see how your princess will finish the next formula. You can get cereals for 4-6 months ( start with rice) then make it watery and watch babies tolerance for 3 days before introducing any other. If you have a good source for pap - babies usually love it. |
