FexCathy: Pls miracle mum, how do you give ur LO d cow&gate rice pudding? Do u put it in plate or feeding bottle? Also if it isn't finished @ once, how does one preserve it. My LO is currently on the rice cereal and he loves it so I wanna try d rice pudding. He likes cow&gate products sha cos its d formula I use too. You can scoop it into a plate or f-bottle as long as what you are using can stay on hot water to warm. I use the f - bottle, place it on hot water to warm, use a spoon to stir very well - then start feeding. I scoop half of the bottle and refrigerate the other half tightly closed, cos with me my DD doesn't take the full bottle but takes it full with her caregivers. So what they do is dip the cow and gate bottle in hot water to warm, stir well and feed her straight from the bottle with a spoon. |

Motun31: Good Evening Mamas. Has anyone used Gerber sitter cereal before. How is it like? Was told to introduce it to my 4 months old baby. A 4 month shouldn't use gerber sitter but gerber supported sitter cereal. I learnt here that gerber products aren't sweet. I have one but am yet to start it for my daughter. She's taking cow and gate egg custard and rice rice pudding now and she loves it a lot. She finishes the bottle at once when spoon fed. I intend introducing cereal this week and I was advised here to start with a rice cereal. I had cow and gate rice cereal in mind but a mama told me this evening to go for cerelac rice cereal that it's fattening. But am not sure cerelac has cereal for 4-6months. I will go shopping tomorrow for that. |

lamdec: Ok thanks, I will keep the drug in mind. My baby is getting better but throughout yesterday he was just restless and fussy, but since last night he has been calm. I haven't gone to see the doctor yet...cash restrains but will go this weekend cos I have lot of complains, his diaper rash is not going, to me it's getting worse and with blisters. I am using a zinc oxide and white petroleum based cream like sudocream but it's another brand and it's seems not to be working. pele. for the diaper rash, use baby tribotan - works like magic. |

Congratulations then! I am not surprised your baby is doing that. All babies are different and none should be compared. |

mytestimony: Thanks for the explanation so she has not acheived the milestone fully. I fear na. I fear no b small o.lol Please read my first paragraph again. She sits for some minutes without her hands on the floor while playing with a toy. Babies that achieved "fully" according to you, don't just wake up and find themselves propped up - it starts from somewhere. |

mytestimony: Please mothers whose babies started sitting unsupported at 4 months how una do am? So u can put dem to sit nd move away? Please explain I dont understand. @Henyolar nd miraclemun Don't move away oh, as baby still topples now while sitting. My baby can sit with her hands propped out for 20 - 25 mins before toppling over. And once she topples I know she's tired because in between the 20 - 25 mins she uses her hand to stop her from toppling. I put her on a play mat with pillows round and then sing and dance while she watches with smiles. If I don't do that, she won't sit. Sometimes I dangle a flashy toy in her face and she'll release her hands to go for the toys, while she's with the toy she can sit unsupported for some minutes before returning one hand on the floor for balance. She didn't just achieve it like that. It took lots of tummy time, sitting her on my laps, in between my laps and on a stroller when we go out. Note that all babies are different, they achieve their milestones at different times. I was worried some times ago here that my baby was yet to have neck control like her mates, I felt really bad when I saw her mate at her creche already sitting and rolling over while my baby's neck was still wobbly. But mothers here encouraged me and advised I give her lots of tummy time. Her caregivers at the creche also encouraged and told me to relax as they will work on it ( God bless those women). They did work on it as I was not only seen it in the log book, I was noticing a great change as the day go by. |

Hernyolar: Yes, she started sitting unsupported at 4months. Now she makes attempts at crawling though she crawls backward...lol That's nice, I may have to introduce potty style to my daughter. She clocked 5 months yesterday. She can sit unsupported and she's crawling with her tummy. |

Hernyolar: I put my five months plus old baby on her executive chair potty first thing in the morning and at night before her bath.. and I have discovered that she hasn't soiled her diaper with poo for 3 whole weeks.. so I think the earlier the better I sing, giggle for her just to make her happy and distracted.. 5 months? That means she can sit unsupported? |

Abibaby: GUDMORNI MAMAS IN D HOUSE@MYTESTIMONY HW IS MY ANGEL.PLS MAMAS I VE A BABY OF THREE MONTHS PLUS ND AM YET TO START MENSTRATING,IS IT NORMAL Return of menses following delivery is varied between individuals. Some women would see theirs a few weeks after, some others after a few months or even a year, while in others there is no return of menses before another pregnancy begins. However, the pattern of your menstrual cycle prior to your previous pregnancy (if it was regular or irregular) also plays a role. The duration of your labor and the presence of complications like bleeding after delivery could all play a part in the return of your period. Exclusive breastfeeding and presence of underlying infection also could delay the return of menses. I don’t think that there’s anything to worry about for now except if you are really looking forward to another pregnancy soon. If this is the case I would advise you see your doctor for a proper evaluation, otherwise enjoy your period of no bleeds. Dr Ketch |

bossladymo1: D'Prince Stores at Isheri (Ojodu Berger) will definitely have. The owner's wife has a baby section on the first floor. That's where I bought the one I used in Naija.
Also, there is another baby store in Magodo...it's on the street just before the entrance (The street spendless is on, for those that are conversant with Magodo).
There is also another one around Isheri market...Femtom or Femton. She sells nice quality baby clothes also. Hmmmm. Madam, how come we go to the same shops. They sell nice things there as you mentioned. The last shop is Femto kids, close to former Isheri market. Isheri market has moved further Magodo gate. Bossladymo, how come you know my area like this? |

beedam: What I do is this,i pour half into his feeding bottle and start by Spoon feeding him. Once I'm tired of the S/feeding,i just add warm water and formula
I needed to put milk since my baby doesn't take thick food from bottle.
I don't use plate so that I don't have to start pouring the food from one container to the other. Ok, thank you. Meanwhile where you disappear to since? |

rieme26: I changed his soap and cream from Johnson to sebamed, then got him abidec multivitamin, he was given afrabvite in the hospital. Can't just figure out what could be the cause. I heard Sebamed is good even though av not used it on my baby. i give my baby abidec but heard it has two types - one from Uk and the other Nigeria. But i doubt is any of this. still check your detergent, do you disinfect your babies clothes after washing with detergent? i use comfort to disinfect her clothes and when i cant afford it, i use a drop of dettol because most of this detergents have harsh components. |

bossladymo1: There are a million and one reasons. He could be reacting to food, bed sheet or any material he slept on, or heat. Did you make any changes recently? rieme26: Lol, that's the reason I was given when I asked oh. Think it's a naija tradition though even my mil and aunt did same was they bath him. Abeg bosslady my 3 weeks baby has rash on his face and little on his arm and thigh. My lo once reacted to the detergent I used to wash her clothes. I had to change it. |
